  1. Hamas PURPOSELY targets civilian areas, with zero military value. Israel RETURNS fire to where the rockets are coming from. How is that hard to understand?
  2. PM an mod, or admin for a name change. They are the only ones that can do that. Upgrading your processor should be doable. That would go a long way toward improving in-game performance in any game..... This one Would give a very nice bump in performance. Rest of your system is reasonable at least.
  3. If you can't start any of your steam games..... then steam is more than likely the problem. Downloading the latest and greatest version of steam, and installing it over top of your current install (overwriting all files) should be the next step.
  4. Try deleting the various ini files in your My Games\Skyrim folder, and launch the game again.
  5. Now you know why the previous owner sold it...... That said... It really shouldn't be doing that. Was it 'factory reset' before you got it? If not, think I would try that step first.
  6. I have a pair of Yugo SKS rifles, one with a folding stock, but, the sights on that one suck. (I need a gunsmith, but, you are a bit far away. :) ) Couple .22 rifles. Used to have a nice .45 long slide as well, but, that got sold to pay a bill.... Wish I still had it. I have found that parts/accessories/ammo is far cheaper for the AK platform, than the AR, not to mention the initial cost of the rifle itself...... I have also found that the AR is much more sensitive to the quality of ammo being fired. My SKS will plink off steel-cased ammo all day, without a jam or misfire, my friends AR, on the other hand, with certain types of steel case ammo, after the second magazine, it jams almost every shot. (casing stays in chamber....) Simply switching to better quality ammo solves the issue.
  7. That is more than likely a missing master crash. One of your mods is missing a component that it wants. Wrye Bash, or TESVEdit will tell you about missing master.
  8. What is CPU usage doing when your framerate dips? What background programs are running?
  9. Artillery, Rockets, and missiles are not the most accurate things in the world. Sure, missile actually go looking for their target, but, they aren't the best at it either. I have seen maverick missiles (anti-tank air-to-surface missile) lock on to a tank, but, then decide to hit the bush behind it instead. Also, coming past at 300+ mph in a ground attack fighter, you lock on to whatever is nearest your target, and blow it up. Usually, the target goes with it. This is if you can't actually SEE what you are really targeting, and rocket launchers are notoriously difficult to spot at speed, and altitude. So, they shoot back "in the vicinity" of where the rockets came from. Ever served time in the military? If the answer is "no", then you don't really have a clue what the IDF is dealing with. Their only other alternative is to allow Hamas to launch rockets indiscriminately, with zero retaliation. That is just a non-starter. Also, had you bothered to actually do a bit of your own research, you would have found PICTURES of Hamas rocket launchers RIGHT OUTSIDE an apartment building. As in, within 10 feet. Even if Israeli return fire was dead-on accurate, there would STILL be collateral damage. As for my sources being biased, that is what I came up with in a three second search. There were numerous others, all stating the EXACT same thing, from all over the world. Those just happened to be at the top of the list. You want to paint Israel as the 'bad guy' here? (I will grant that they bear a great deal of responsibility for the situation as a whole, and not just this particular turn of events over the last month or so.....) That's fine. You go right ahead and support the terrorists, that WANT civilian casualties, for EXACTLY this reason. They may be getting their collective keester handed to them in the field, but, on the stage of world opinion, they are 'winning'...... The people of Gaza are indeed the only ones that can actually put a stop to this. Unfortunately, they are also the ones that put Hamas in power..... It wasn't until AFTER that happened that the Israelis instituted the blockade. And with good reason.
  10. Well, then we have this article, and this one, and this one..... That are all saying differently. A UN official actually ADMITTING that Hamas has been firing rockets from exactly the areas the IDF has been claiming. There are numerous others. Feel free to look them up yourself.
  11. We need software writers to actually take advantage of the hardware we have NOW. Very few programs actually make intelligent use of multi-core processors.
  12. Several news agencies have reported on weapons found in UN schools. A few have also reported (with pics) Hamas rocket launchers placed outside residential buildings.
  13. Apparently you overestimate the legal understanding of most people or underestimate people's tendency towards stupidity. Sure, we'd have a more active congress, but we'd also have one that makes laws which conflict with eachother, cannot possibly be enforced, or which are highly situational. You know those listings of silly state laws? Those laws were made by people just like 'us', and give an example as to why opposite is not always better. And this is different from the current situation how? Personally, I don't see EITHER party as representing what is "best for america", it's all 'what is best for my major campaign contributors'. The more money you have to toss around, the more political influence you have. This leaves joe average, you know, 85% of the population of the US, out in the cold. We have no say in politics, or, the direction our country is going. A recent poll found that only 26% of people thought america was 'headed in the right direction'...... a quarter of the population...... Sure, I can vote, but, who do I get to vote for? Who picks who runs? The folks with the money, that's who. We are playing against a stacked deck, and the 'authorities' are the ones that made sure it was stacked in their favor. Nothing will change, things will only get worse.
  14. I don't see one party being worse than the other. I see them both as equally as bad. Don't forget that a fair bit of legislation did NOT pass, simply because the dems proposed it, and the republicans outright refuse to let anything pass that might make the dems 'look good'..... even if it IS good legislation. They didn't get 'the party of "no"' name for nothin'. The "war on women" does have some merit..... with their 'no-choice' attitude on abortion, and 'some forms of birth control'....... You are quite correct about corporations though. And don't forget dem support of the unions. (or would that be union support of the dems?) More than just our borders are broken. Our entire political system is currently broken. Nothing is getting done. I really don't want to see a dem victory in 16, but, I am not sure a republican victory would change the overall picture very much.... we would have a truly lame-duck president, and even less would get done in washington, than even what there is currently. (although, that COULD be seen as a 'good thing™". Which is really sad.....
  15. Do you hold the attack button till the bow is fully drawn?
  16. Copy/Paste the log into spoiler tags. You have a missing master crash. One or more of your mods is dependent on something that isn't there. Wrye Bash, or TESVIEdit should tell you which one.
  17. No, was talking more along the lines of this:http://www.cgpgrey.com/blog/humans-need-not-apply There is already short term economic incentive to turn to technology instead of human labor, The problem is that long term economy (the stuff that actually drives business by means of people earning money and spending it on things) would essentially collapse faster than a sandcastle at high tide. We may have the technical and mechanical means to do a great many things with technology, but what we lack are the defined roles which people could fill while working alongside that technology. Without defined roles, we cannot train people, anticipate their needs, and try to move younger persons entering the job force to consider these roles instead of more traditional ones. Working with future technology may sound like a great idea, but the vast majority of people out in the world are not ready for the reality of it. Take for example that mockery of an effort to get people for a Mars mission... Instead of having a group of people who understood the implications of being on a one-way trip to Mars, where they would be responsible for setting up the majority of the infrastructure needed to establish a colony on another planet, where they would probably die; instead it became a rush for personal internet fame, a popularity contest, and a promotional stunt. I agree with what you say. Indonesia once banned the use of cigarette vending machines to keep people employed to sell them; I do not know if that nation still does. As for going to Mars, let alone colonizing it, the only real way would be to do it in careful stages: [1] Colonize the Moon and there create the means to build a large vessel to travel to Mars. Make the Moon Colony as self supporting and economically viable as possible. [2] Colonize one, or both, of the Martian Moons that could be very good for building outpost bases on-in. Make the Martian Moon Colony, or Colonies, as self supporting and economically viable as possible. Working with Phobos and Deimos first is far smarter than trying to work directly with Mars. [3] From there plan the next steps in the safe colonization of Mars. It could easily take over a century, of hard work, to achieve a fully functional Martian Colony that is as self supporting and economically viable as possible. Yeah, but, with "I want it now." and Instant gratification being the rule of the day, folks will rush into it, so they can be "first", and many will die instead. We, as a people, have no long term vision.
  18. Both sides have their issues, but, I don't really see a point in continuing here, given the insulting tone of this particular post. Have a nice day.
  19. It is a proven fact that Hamas launches rockets from civilian-populated areas. This includes schools (UN, or not), Hospitals, and Apartment buildings. Are you trying to suggest that Israel should NOT attack those sites, because it is likely to inflict civilian casualties? If that's the case, then you should also be condemning the US, for it's policy of drone strikes in Afghanistan/Pakistan, as we would regularly blow up civilian housing, because we suspected that terrorists were hiding there. More often than not, there were indeed terrorists at the targets in question, but, there were also innocent civilians, who also died. I put the responsibility for the out of proportion civilian deaths squarely at the feet of Hamas. THEY are the ones launching from civilian areas, and they are well aware of what the consequences are likely going to be. Yet they continue with this same tactic, all the while screaming "WAR CRIMES"!!! It should be readily apparent that they do this ON PURPOSE, SPECIFICALLY so civilians will die. They know they have zero chance of winning anything at all militarily, so, they fight their battles in the courts of public opinion, counting on the outrage of the world at the high body count of civilians. No, I have zero sympathy for Gaza/Hamas here. They bring these troubles down on themselves.
  20. Post your load order in spoiler tags. Most folks aren't real excited about downloading files.... (well, except for mods maybe, and porn....) When they did that to me, I just went and chatted with Riisad, sold him all my crap, and went on into town. When I came back out, camp was set, and everyone was in place.
  21. Go to your skyrim install folder. The folder in question here will be in: Skryim\data\meshes\sky.
  22. First ..its an 144 Hz monitor. For every other game i play the blazing speed is Amazing!!! Ok now Skyrim...First I have to lower the Hz to 100....then in Nvidia i have it set to "Adaptive Vsync, 1/3 refresh rate" This nets me 33 FPS...and is perfect~!!! Liquid smooth. Sucks to have to gimp the monitor but it looks and feels so smooth i don't mind anymore. If you have the hardware to push it, set your refresh rate to 120, and your adaptive v-sync to 50% refresh rate. :) THAT would be nice.
  23. Make sure it really is TESV.EXE, and that it is in the correct folder.
