Erm, what are you saying here? The staff don't play favorites here, that strikes me as the hallmark of an open forum. One where you can express your views, without fear of the local powers coming down on you, because their views are different.

Our government seems to be doing a fine job of 'varnishing over' the truth..... They keep telling us that 'things are just peachy', even though most folks are well aware they are not. So where are the folks that should be calling out our government on these blatant lies? Why do we not hear from them, aside from in discussion forums on gaming boards, that not a single government agency pays the least attention to?

Peoples fears must be taken seriously or people will find others to take them seriously. This is how extremist are made. Even when those fears are artificially overblown by our 'leaders'?

The reps now have a check on Obama, to a degree, but, that's all they have. They aren't going to be able to pass any legislation on their own, nor will they be able to override a veto. He can still exercise his "executive power", and get some stuff done. Now, whether that is stuff we actually WANT to see done, is another matter entirely. I really don't quite get why the politicians are all saying "immigration reform is good", (basically, amnesty) when 80% of the country DOESN'T WANT IT. Whatever happened to 'the will of the people'? I suspect the answer to that is, the people have come to the conclusion that they just don't matter any more, so, they may piss and moan about it, but, they won't ever actually DO anything.

Yeah, I was truly disappointed in the dems performance the last several years..... even though I normally vote dem. Not this time. Straight republican ticket. Do I think its going to do any "Good"? Nope, not really. But, I do hope it does less HARM. I really didn't care for the direction the dems were going. Of course, there are a fair few things I dislike about the repubbies as well..... just the lesser of two evils. What a drag.

Not sure about the 'majority rules' in this particular instance. For the longest time, homosexuality was looked down upon, considered a 'sin', and, in some countries, could get you killed..... (and they make up less than 3% of the population here in the states.) But, today, we see the LBGT crowd seems to have more rights than the 70% of our population that adhere to some religion or other, that disagrees with them.

There are some, but, they have become the (very) silent minority. Everyone is too afraid of offending someone else (and getting sued for it) by pointing out that some particular life-choice they are making probably isn't really good for them, or, society as a whole...... Not that the current generation really cares about anything other than themselves.....

That's a hardware issue. Download some variety of stress testing software, preferrably something with a temp monitor display. (if you can't find one, something like speedfan will tell you temps. depending on what version you have, windows may even do it for you.) Then run the stress test, and watch what your temps are doing.

I boot my computer once a day. Saving a few seconds on boot time, by having the O/S on an SSD isn't really worth it to me. I would FAR rather save that space so I can install more GAMES to my significantly faster drive...... Once the O/S loads, that's pretty much it. End of the speed advantage. Leaving it on a standard HDD does not appreciably impact performance once its running.

What you are getting is a missing master crash. One of your mods depends on something that isn't there. Trick is, find out which one is causing it, and then, what it's missing.

Well, it's easier to pass than HIV...... someone coughing on you can pass the virus.... not so with HIV. True though, this has happened before, and it will more than likely happen again.

Well, seems ethanol isn't all its cracked up to be, and it has become official. Find an article about the latest report here. Basically, what it comes down to is, adding ethanol to our gasoline in an effort to be 'green', is a miserable failure, that actually puts MORE carbon into the atmosphere, than just burning straight gasoline. Now, this is something I have suspected for quite some time in any event, due to a variety of factors... several of which are discussed in the article. (deforestation, edge-tilling, etc.) Now, the question becomes, what to do about it..... Is the government going to recognize that this is a failed effort, and drop the requirement, or, are they going to continue down the rabbit hole, and increase ethanol content as they have discussed in the not so recent past.... I seriously doubt the farm lobby is going to just shrug, and say "well, it was fun while it lasted"....... They are going to continue to advocate for ethanol fuels, as they make a fat pile of money from it. And of course, the legislators from states that are heavily into agriculture.... particularly corn, aren't going to want to see it go away either. I see this as a perfect example of money/politics taking precedence over common sense/science.
