  1. Rogue files can do that. A lot of people can also forget to remove traces of mods when doing vanilla reinstall also.
  2. Whats your idea of amazing? Complete alchemy and cooking overhaul is cool, then youve got some world mods like Darkend and Forgotten City, better radiant quest mod The NoticeBoard etc etc
  3. Delete them and run skyrim launcher and set your settings in there again. They are in my documents/mygames/skyrim folder
  4. You might find a setting of 3072 has an odd effect with ENB. I tried it once and the shadows went all weird. Also, SMIM includes the fix for ELFX meshes these days.
  5. One of few people i've heard mention mantle and d3d12 together ;) Well at least from my discussions on Hardforum. Some ppl outright denied it (fanbois) I've also got to add a recommendation to that note for people to read the DynDoLOD documentation if they want a better understanding of the settings.
  6. The game is trying to kill you already. Thats some real "ghost in the machine" stuff right there. Id upload that pic to the screenshots section.
  7. I would be manually installing SKSE. The steam installer did this to me too a few weeks ago. Dropped it in manually and no worries.
  8. Must be a script, but that just seems a bit wrong. Unless the author of it found a way to reference them all in one fell swoop. I'll have a look at BV myself when I get a chance, I haven't installed it yet.
  9. Read my notes I just added to the bottom of this post. Exactly the problem you are facing I would believe, given you stated that it mainly looking back over an area that causes the drop.
  10. I've added a rather large note to the end of the description, posting my final thoughts and observations. I will continue to add a few more tests to the list also, I have just turned off HT so I will start doing those soon. I done a few different ones already, I can tell you now that what I wrote in my notes down bottom is pretty much it, every test just about proves the same, although there has been some unexplained core activity with different settings, none of it actually affects performance. Maybe so on low end, but that's not what we are here to talk about or test. Enjoy.
  11. You dont want to delete the description, thats just the text you see in game
  12. Is that already in Skyrim.esm? Or there is mods adding that. Remove from the mods if thats the case
  13. Vanilla should handle 60fps if the inis are not modified to ridiculous lengths. You mention only one core peaking out, i always find a second core getting up there too. I would try Fiftys advice on disabling secondary cores for this game, HT on Intel seems to exacerbate stuttering but so far i cant say it makes the fps suffer. Cant speak for AMD though, I've only ever tested an Athlon.
  14. Definitely, at ultra with a few hd packs too. Just be sure to follow as much good advice as you can before you get carried away with the mods ;)
  15. Sounds to me that there is a script that stops vampires from gaining health from them potions, actually youll probably find they are conditions set on the magic effect records. If you find the relevant magic effect records that are linked to each potion, you might see in their table that their will be a condition like "GetisVampire". Delete those conditions by clicking at the top of each one of them in the left table, about 2 bars above the record (will be blank) right click there. If the pop up context menu contains an option to move up or move down and also remove, youve clicked the right spot
  16. When you get it, go to Skyrim.esm to find those npcs and the actor category, once you click on their record youll see a table with all the mods that touch them on the left. If you find one mod is overriding the one you want to work, you can go to that mod on the right and also click on the actor, then (on the right) right click on the record and select "copy as override" into, then select new file from the bottom of that pop up list. Name the file "my patch" or something. Youve just created your very own patch. You can use this patch again to copy any other records you want to patch. You might also find that you might not need a patch and just a change of load order for that mod will do. Might take a while to get used but you'll get the hang of it. Eventually you'll learn that you can use the left tables to do this too, as gou can also copy as override by right clicking the mod name at the top of the horizontally listed mods from the left pane.
  17. I should think that you should be getting 60 fps at that level, ive seen an 8350 do more than this. Mine does about 5000/5mil before dropping. With many HD packs. Are you finding that in task manager one or 2 of your cpu cores is always 100% during play? You can find that out by keeping it open while you play then when you exit you can see the updated log. Just keep it on the cpu page. This certainly doesnt seem right at all.
  18. That doesnt sound right, "deleted" the conflict. Dis you actually delete the whole record or just the description?
  19. Ah. Is it possible for you to just install the base ENB files anyway and do the above mentioned? You only need use the basic ENB from the ENB site, no preset.
  20. Okay then, i cant speak for requiem as i dont use it but all the same for the overrides. So are you a vampire? It might explain it if you are, although i dont know the fix.
  21. If Requiem is winning then youll see its effects/changes in game over all others. My above reply isnt really good, i am unsure at best but do you happen to be a vampire? I have heard all sorts of issues if you are a vampire. An idea though, if you are a vampire, does the blood potions work?
  22. There are a number of factors with fps in this game, but it sounds to me you are lagging from draw calls. If you can, go to the spot that is 30-40fps, hit the console to pause, open the ingame ENB menu with Shift+enter, expand the "profiler" category and note down what numbers you see next to draw calls and total render count. Draw calls would be in the thousands and the latter probably in the millions. Also if you want, post your INI files and ENBlocal (in a spoiler tag plz)
  23. Lol i gave up on AMD. I waited for Fury X, I end up with a 980ti. I did really love my 7970ghz but meh Nvidia is pounding them atm.
  24. Lol thanks for correcting that, been a while since i used it ;)
