  1. Anyone else noticed certain rank 1 and 2 weapon mods stats are either useless or same/less than lower tier versions? Havent gotca list handy but ill get one soon
  2. I for one, as previously stated, really miss hardcore needs. But i am disappointed with the gfx. I still had to mess with the INIs to increase details of shadows and LOD on Ultra (the water LOD is terrible) and use a thrid party tool to counter the 64hz bug. My 980ti is nearly asleep on the job and cpu not far behind because they arent doing much. 2 sec load screens for me. I reckon i could easily run the trailer gfx. And ugrids at 5. Lol. Supposed to be DX11 with better multithreading and still 5. While the density of thr map is much nicer than previous titles, almost a dream come true and i love it, i just cant understand why after more than a decade they bork it this much. The tex quality isnt even all that great, ive got nicer textures in NV ffs. I dont like DoF much but Bokeh is my favorite, too bad the TAA causes that gridish blur effect in conversations in the sunlight (mainly but not limited). And as if they didnt copy a few things from ENB and Project Nevada lol. Ive also noticed that some crafting options/mods in higher tier a dont even increase stats, some only value but same stats as the lower ranking counterpart. I love crafting and this is confusing. Not to mention the severe lack of screws to be found, adhesive i can understand but screws? Lmfao Bethesda just love to form hate/love relations with their customers. I think they dumped most of their money into marketing, without modders for the previous games i think theyd be fudged for ideas. I would have thought their dev team would have matured a lot by now, but having the 64hz bug on day one just proves they are still trying to turn a lemon into a Lexus. Having said all that, this is still one of my top 3 favorite games already. The got the gunplay right i think, but i think they arent good enough to move away from Gamebyro just yet, or at least completely overhaul it into the "new engine" they claim it to be. So glad Papyrus has made a return here too lol. Not really.
  3. Ive had a few mobs sneak up on me, well at least catch me off guard. I still put away legendary enemies quickly with the right tactics, apart from being general bullet sponges the only real thing i have found difficult about them is that they throw grenades more often and more precisely. Muties are hard in a group and yao gai take a good few hits and backpeddling to kill, that feels okay so far. Nearing lvl20 now so ill be interested. All in all, i really miss the hardcore needs, equipment degradation and ammo weight, ill keep raving about that until the cows come home :(
  4. I think Bethesda just leaves it to the modders now. No wonder they want paid mods, to fill in thier gaps and rake in the profits. It is piss easy. Legendary radroach took one shell to the face.
  5. I am lost without a hardcore needs or even equipmnet degradation system, sure that Deathclaw had a lot of HP but all that says is Bethesda is back with their crappy scaling system. Survival should be survival, not just "Legendary" difficulty.
  6. Not sure if a thread has already started but i wanted to start a thread on this Edited - first post was a bit "excited". 6 hours in now. Basically i am diving in head first, love the new combat, but starting to feel more to be desired. Its definitely deserving the title of EPIC GAME, but i have started to feel that this has been fairly rushed/badly thought about in some areas, mainly survival role playing VATS is actually cool, 1HP left against the blood mozzie and VATS saved me. Rads up to 100+ in small amount of time searching around SH. Radroaches had me on the backfoot when i missed them coming through the fauna. Molerats were fun popping up all over the place. Caps have been hard to find with a luck of 3 So, back on track (lots of things in my head lol), there is I find a severe lacking to the survival mode. While the gun play and creatures have an amazing upgrade, weapon/armor degradation is non existant, hunger/thirst/sleep is non existant, bleeding isnt a factor (blood is a bit weird in general), Stimpaks have been somewhat easy to find along with a bunch of other chems, weapons are abundant once you proceed as well as items in general (apart from adhesives which are rather valuable now) and i find the nights too bright and days too glary (cant see where the sun is supposed to be though). Its clear there is some inspiration from Project Nevada here with some of the features, but the more i play, the more i feel the disappointment. Sure the gun play is great but i feel there is no struggle to survive. A legendary enemy might provide me with a challenging gun fight, but apart from a few stimpacks, no further planning required unless you need ammo. Also, stealth has been breezy but then i have my Agility at 7. I have also picked up 3 extra SPECIAL points by level 3. And lets not talk about the drivers crashing after an hour and a bit, and seemingly other age old glitches. And the gfx arent anywhere near what i saw in the trailers IMO, but i expected that. So now its "surviving Bethesdas programming" instead of the wasteland :/
  7. As Kuno said, the files wont save after editing if they are read only. Even with launcher. If you still get the error after ensuring the resolution is correct in skyrimprefs.ini, reinstall DirectX
  8. Doubt it was EGO myself but MBI seems suspect here. Edit - run a test with ELFX enhancer at the very bottom of your load order. ELE gave me similar problems with localized ctds when imagespaces where also not patched/incorrect load order. ELFX should be placed above PureWaters in your LO anyway though.
  9. Then that is a huge problem, this means you have no enchantments learned in the save. Try making a copy of your last nirmal save and checking it with ESS viewer again. You are looking at the "change forms" category between global 2 and global 3 correct?
  10. Okay lets reinstall the whole game. Then go download the MANUAL version of SKSE and all you have to do is copy the files to Skyrim folder, not data. Then get injector ENB and copy them files in to Skyrim folder. To be clear the only difference with ENB wrapper is the d3d9.dll launches with the game, that is the only file you need to delete if using Injector exe. Be sure to point ENB injector to SKSE launcher not TesV.exe or launcher. Reinstall DirectX from Skyrim DirectX 10 folder, but Steam should do this when reinstalling anyway. If that doesnt work now then we will try a command prompt rebuild of Windows.
  11. UPDATE WITH STEAM. UPDATE WITH STEAM. NOT HARD. If you have a no steam version then you must message a member of staff here and tell them where you got and they will point you in the right direction....
  12. They are titled ENCH with weird formids that do not relate to the formids in game. Maybe for you they are a little lower in the list, it is a huge huge list.
  13. One of the spammed errors in that log, and i mean 1000 times spammed, is from Molag Bals inferno, maybe having something wrong related to SkyUI. I'm a little caught up atm, so i haven't time to analyze this further. I'll have a better look later, but i am suspect on MBI spamming that script so much.
  14. You did try those memory fixes yes? You definitely need them regardless. It might be the case that game save is corrupted. Try not to use auto or quick save at all. Have you tried a new game yet?
  15. Okay change expandsystemmemoryx64 to false, set reserved memory to 384 andxset video memory to 4096. Try exiting ro Skyrim again with these fixes.
  16. Sorry on phone. Okay go to game, hit console, type save test 1. This will generate a text file and save called "test". We will use this txt file to look at what enchanments you had later. Download ESS file editor. Open it up and load up this test save we made. Go to the list called "change forms". Expand it. It will be very long, but dont worry because Enchantments are not far down (about 200, just keep scrolling). This is all the enchantments in a row, no need to scroll to find more once you locate these. Now you won't be to tell what enchantment is what from here, so remove one at a time until the game stops crashing. When you find that it starts working, make a save with the menu, not console Once we locate that bad one, which should be the last one you removed from the test, make a copy of that text file that appeared after we made console saved. Go back to your original broken save, and make a copy. Remove the broken entry from that save. Now go back in game and save again with console, this time "save fixed 1". Compare both the text files now and determine which enchantment is now gone, because that is the broken one.
  17. Mmm. It can be tricky to locate a bad MGEF, script or even shader/mesh from a mod without knowing all the files. What we could try doing is the save cleaner i mentioned. This program, well mire specifically the data in the save doesnt tell you what enchantment is what, so what we will have to do (unless you just remove them all of course) is temove one by one and load the game up and see if it worked. Then hopefully you have a good memory of what enchantments you had, and if you then we can figure out if that enchantment is touched by a mod in any way, if you get what i mean

  19. That error is usually associated with bad resolution. Make sure your res is set to the correct setting for your monitor. Also steam ahould be installing DirectX and .NET everytime you do a new install, if it isnt then try installing/downloading from MS yourself.
  20. We can remove enchants via a certain save tool, for now are you able to have a look through your enchantments in tesvedit and maybe take some screenshots of tye tables on the left of any that are conflicting?
  21. Your LO file must be read only (or you have lock times on.) Go to your account folder, go to appdata/local/skyrim and right on plugins and also load order and in properties uncheck read only. Or in Wrye, right click File, select lock times off. If this is not the case, then that is a strange problem.

  23. So this started occuring midgame? There might be a bung enchantment in there, lets see if we can find it. Lucky for you though, i know how to remove enchantments from acsave manually if need be. Lets try find the broken one first. Yeah not much in that log, time to look in tesvedit.
  24. SkyrimGTX was banned from here, never knew he had a site though. Youve got TesGeneral, TesAlliance, DarkCreations, Sands of Time own site and if you look through google with some interesting search terms, you'll find some foreign goodess as well. I have a few others on my bookmarks but dont have them handy atm. Also there is a certain underground site, that should be on the deep web on account of its ghastly content and lack of childproofing, you will know that one when you see it. If you already havent.
