When you save the .dds file, select the way to save as DXT5, that messed me up for awhile.

They have a mod that able's you to add your Face-Gen to Skyrim, tells you the steps and how to make the .tri file. I am not able to try because I don't have the customizer for Face-gen and not sure how to legally get it ecxept by emailing them, so I might not have it till I have the 2 hundred for it. This mod imports all of the Skyrim face parts into the Face-Gen - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24544 --. As for the race it's just like EliteCheat said, it's pretty simple. The tools you would need is - Face-gen, Face-gen Customizer, Creation Kit, and NifSkope.

Possibly, if the weights are from a prexisting armor the shape and everything would probably be off. You could try painting the weights on the areas there see-threw. Also check your textures, make sure the alpha channel ain't causing them to be transparent. I forgot all about the alpha channel till now. O just to add it just in case, for the alpha channel, White - vissable, Black completely transparent. So silver/gray is semi transparent. (I am not the best speller, been speaking bad English for 21 years, still ain't no better.)

Right after I uploaded my first mod a few weeks ago (I was excited even though I new it wasn't going to be very big/popular, but didn't expect it to be), I started working on my next one. Now I can't quit making/updating mods, I am either in my online classroom, photoshop, Creation Kit, or the Nexus Forums now.

Open you Skyrim Data folder, - C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Skyrim\Data -, Place the mesh, textures, esp, scripts etc in that folder. When ask to merge folders hit yes. Check the plugin file in the list on NMM.

I don't know if it will pretain to your problem, but for my helmet (originally vanilla hair mesh) I don't use Remappable Textures/ Vertex Colors flags. Have you checked the mesh without textures to see if it does the same. If it only happens to the areas without the back faces, I would add them and see if it fixes it if not then delete em.

The Drow race I think has kid races in it. To manually install just put the .esp file and the texture/meshes folders into your Skyrim data folder. The Skyrim data folder, follow this file path - C:\games\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\data -.

Amazing work on the Sedethul, finally a sword I can use for more then an hour at a time besides Blaze Edge. Nice work on all the meshes and textures, all your weapons look great.

In the Creation Kit, make a chest with all the items you want in it. Then find the area at Helgen you want the chest to be. Drag and drop the chest into the render window where you want it to be.

I found out recently for multiple words in using the help command all the words of the armor/item you want need to be in these ". type it in like this - help "gravity 0".

To me that kind of looks looks like clipping, but if there is transparency check the shader flags again in NifSkope. Should be shader flag one in - LightingShaderPropertys - and uncheck the decals. On the helmet I was working on the decal flags made it completely transparent.

Something almost the same happened to me a couple hours ago, my helmet wouldn't move right with my character. Just stayed where the skeleton would be if my character stood straight, when I moved the helmet was to the side of my character. I found out the reason it did this was a shader flag in NifSkope, SLSF_2 Skinned, wasn't checked. Hope that fixes your problem. Bout the maps, I still not even sure what they are, I will start working with all that beginning of next year.

I been thinking about doing that for awhile, making tattoos equipable, like armor. I think it is possible, just not sure how you will get it in the right spot on the body though. I not sure how you would add the skeleton to the tattoo, have to make it like a 2D piece of armor the shape of the body/design.

Player house mod suggestions with a lot of mannequins!
Dart98Rock replied to cuhleef's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I do the same thing, I don't wanna search threw a chest to find an armor. I found this mod awhile back, it has 180+ mannequins, plus it has doors to all the vanilla houses and a few random goods mixed in. - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11444 -
Thanks for sharing, my next mod includes me making new armor from scratch using Blender. I was I about to start searching threw Google to find a good tutorial.

Save file "stability" after using a few simple mods? Experienc
Dart98Rock replied to vitvit's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Having a save file being corrupted only happened to me once since I started modding games for the pc. I forgot how but I some how did fix it, it was on Fallout 3 with 110 + mods. Saves are files and I'm sure there is a way for a completely vanilla save file to get corrupt, if it's technology something weird and hard to fix is bound to happen. The only way to guarantee that you want lose your save is to back it up, I try to back mine up around once a week. Between Fallout 3 and Skyrim I have 1000+ saves (I always make a new save), and only one has ever got corrupted. Hope that helps you, just remember messing with files in a program/game, problems will pop up but there usually easily fixed (specially with the people here on Nexus to help you). -
New to Modding - What Tools will I Need?
Dart98Rock replied to Lite8888's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
One thing happened to me that took a while for me tho fix, if you get unexplained CTD ( Crash to Desktop), check your Skyrim plugins, they are located for me in - C:\Users\(username)\appdata\local\Skyrim\plugin list - make sure there is only 1 skyrim.esm in the list. For SKSE to launch straight from NMM, download this mod - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12923 -. -
Help adding Spellbreaker enchantment please.
Dart98Rock replied to FJMS1988's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I recreated it, and tried your .esp file to no avail. I messed with how it's cast, renaming, different properties in the condition window nothing helped. What BigKevSexyMan said makes sense, that condition isn't transferring over with the enchantment. From what little I know about scripting, his script looks good, but still didn't change the problem. I am unable at the moment to mess with the scripts, every time I tried to add the script I got CTD. The only thing I can think of is, at least for the time being, put the enchantment on the shield you want via the Creation Kit, and just keep that shield. I will keep messing with it, and hopefully some random thing I tweak will fix it, or BigKevSexyMan might be able to give you a better answer then mine. -
Is your NPC on a custom race? If they are on a custom race, go to body part data on the custom race in the Creation Kit. It will have an area to change the skeleton, I think the mesh will follow the Skeleton. I will mess around with it and see that works. If you want a more in depth guide you can pm me, I can also try and walk you threw it. I will be on Nexus and in the Creation Kit for most of the day.

Help adding Spellbreaker enchantment please.
Dart98Rock replied to FJMS1988's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
The magnitude just increases the effect of the enchant/spell. I am out of ideas of what your problem could be. I will recreate what you did and test it and see if I can find a solution for you that way. -
Alright I have it up and running, are you using "skyrim parts in facegen" or "BFG better facegen", or both. Trying to make sure we got the same setup, for importing them to skyrim.

Dart98Rock replied to FJMS1988's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I found something that might fix it. On your enchantment, double click on the effect. See if there is a condition called - IsBlocking -. It's in the same menu you changed the magnitude, that was also a good call on changing it. I found out that if the magnitude is to low it won't affect the character. ( not sure if it works on enchants, it happened to me on a spell.) -
The Skyrim pack here on Nexus I thought was the program, that confused me a little. I finally got my hard drive straightend out for now, so I can get the program and see whats up with it. Could you post a link to where you got the facegen program, I having trouble trying to find the right one.

I am still not sure what exactly tri files are, but I know there used with hair meshes, and I guess face's to. Which facegen did you download?
