Ok, so for the longest time i've only had one thing which causes me to CTD. Just one issue that I can't seem to figure out. One of my mods is referencing the LL_Ammo_Any base game records, but only while the game is actually running. It causes me to frequently CTD while trying to save. It's the literal only thing that makes me CTD. I have no idea how to narrow down which mod it could be. I simply have too many mods, and the CTDs are too inconsistent. It would probably take a year to go through my list, disabling 1 at a time, then waiting and spam saving until I get a CTD. So i'm wondering instead if there's some way to view which scripts are running in-game? Or, if there's a way to pause all scripts, do a save, and then re-start them?

Amazing Follower Tweaks seems extremely overkill for something like this. I personally won't touch the mod because it's just too much. And, at least back when I did try it out, it was too buggy to bother with. A dedicated mod that just moves the NPCs to one of two locations would be way more preferable here. Just my opinion tho Anyways, to add to this request - a mod that lets you send Edward Deegan to a settlement after [spoiler ALERT] getting him to turn on the Cabot family would be cool. [sTILL SPOILERS] If you get him to side with Lorenzo, you can talk to Edward afterward and ask him what he plans to do now. Seems like a perfect chance to offer him a new job pulling weeds at your settlement. Heck, it'd be cool if you could actually send him out to find crap just like the Eyebot pods added from the Automatron DLC. Seems like a fitting job for him.

After you talk to Cora and her crew and tell her where to go - what happens to her dialogue? I haven't encountered her in a while, but if i remember right, she just repeats a few lines about how the place she's going to is gonna be good? idk Might be a bit awkward hearing her say that kinda stuff while she's AT the location you sent her to. Regardless though! I really like this idea :D Love mods like this that save characters from disappearing into the abyss. Heck, I think it'd actually be really nice if you could send Cora to go stay with the guy who gives you the Nuka Love recipe book. He's got a nice little trailer set up already. Just needs some friends. :)

I'm not sure if a mod for this already exists - i've looked and all i can find is consumable Save/Autosave items. I'd like an item that you can consume which will open up the Wait menu. I play with controller, and at the moment I use Fo4Hotkeys to bind the Wait menu to a key on my keyboard. But it feels pretty cheaty, and it's pretty darn inconvenient to have to reach over to the keyboard to push the key. A consumable item would at least let me attach a price to the wait items, making it feel less cheaty. And I wouldn't have to reach for the keyboard each time anymore. So, is it possible to create an aid item that will simply enter a basic console command for something like this? There's other basic little console commands i'd like to execute using aid items too. Such as toggling Freecam, Noclip, Looksmenu, and a few others i can't think of at the moment. [uPDATE] Thread's closed now lol

CTDs when exiting "sneak mode" (weird)
LucidLady replied to YouDoNotKnowMyName's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I mean, are you sure you don't have any mods that touch the sneak records? One of those gun mods might do bonus damage while sneaking - and that could be attached to this. Or maybe you have a mod that adds a new enemy in the game which has sneak perks. IS it just happening in that one cell, or is it anywhere in the game? You could try just validating your game files through Steam, see if that fixes things. You could also try installing Buffout4 and post the crash log. It also might fix the problem entirely on it's own - as its goal is to prevent CTDs. -
If you ever have this problem without access to Console commands, you can fix it by taking the companion to an area with an invisible smoking idle marker. You can take them to, say, the Goodneighbor entrance (where you meet Hancock) and just wait until they engage the invisible smoking idle marker. They'll do the animation and finish it - tossing the cigarette away and going back to the default idle animation flavor. It also works with any other invisible idle maker animation - such as the "arms crossed behind back" stance. They choose to interact with those invisible idle markers the same way they choose to sit on furniture or use crafting stations - randomly. But sitting in a chair or using a crafting station won't affect their idle animation flavor. So it is best to take them to a location with an invisible idle animation marker but no furniture (such as the Railroad entrance area). It's just that the entrance of Goodneighbor is easier to reach. It's also possible for companions to get stuck in the "arms crossed behind back" stance, too. But more often than not, it's the smoking animation that they get stuck in for some reason.

Searching for a specific clothing mod
LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Dang, got it in one! Even despite my terribly unhelpful description. Nice. -
I've been trying to find a mod that I downloaded a long while back, but i'm getting nowhere. It's basically a mobster outfit with pinstripes and suspenders, comes with male and female variants. I've searched just about every word I can think of that has to do with clothes to try and make it show up in my download history, but i'm getting nowhere. I've searched mobster, suit, garb, wear, attire, outfit, cbbe, fashion, style. Just everything. I'm sorry I don't have more info to give about this, I didn't think it'd be this hard to find again. My download history is way too large to search through page by page.

Help! My gun is too gooey!
LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
O yeah, I definitely will use that effect, and try to extrapolate the lesson to other effects. :D It's really hard to find good guides on things like this, so I really do appreciate it! I'll probably implement it when I go back to update the Egg Grenades i released a while back. -

Alrighty. I'm gonna go ahead and just release the version where they don't die out of combat. Maybe revisit the crab grenades mod I put out a while back... I thank you both for helping me sooooo much =D Gonna credit you both, even if I didn't use the custom script yet @_@ -

I don't understand what i'm doing wrong D: You guys said to add the flag Alt Trigger to the projectiles - and turn them into Lobbers (instead of Missile). I gave them the 2.5sec timer too. I did that, and the eggs are bouncing now, but they don't actually explode anymore. [edit] Wait, I figured it out. I ALSO had to add a collision layer to the projectiles. Now it's workin' just right :D Gonna shorten the timer, tho... -

Yes. Mhm. It's gonna take me a bit to consume this absolute unit of a post. I've gone cross-eyed looking over your post for now, but I don't want you to think i'm not gonna have a go at it. Both you and robotized are goin' in the special thanks section =D And in my preview video i'm gonna make it super clear to everyone that it's you two that wanted the crabs to die, NOT ME! -

LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Hmm, I think I know how to do that, yeah. But i'm not 1oo% on how to get it to affect the right target - in this case, the individual crab. It's Target - Self? Or is it Traget - Subject? -

I don't know how to script D: Like, at all. I'm aiming to have them die 30 seconds to 1 minute out of combat, tho -

Grrr, the exposure-death thing isn't working how i'm doing it. I dunno why it's not working. It's probably something simple. -

LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Oof, i'm not about tacklin' the bouncy-egg effect for now x_x; But thank you for the instructions! Right now i'm workin' on making them die out of combat as an option. I decided to give each crab a unique "Exposure Sensitivity" keyword, and created a new Enchantment. The enchantment casts on themselves, and has two conditions. 1 that they have the special keyword, and 1 that they be out of combat. I'm gonna make a few different tiers of the Enchantment that have different magnitudes and apply those to each crab depending on how much health they have. Should I make it a separate main file with the fragile crabs? Or should I include them in the Season Pass main file as separate barrels? There's already 6 different barrel modes for the non-Exposure-Sensitive crabs @_@ -

LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Very interesting! But if they leave an egg when they die, that seems to make the weapon too OP in my opinion. Infinite ammo, y'know? Then again, maybe I could make that a special legendary variant... hmm... I guess I could make a version where they die out of combat too, in case people want that! Right now i'm just trying to get the eggs to bounce off surfaces rather than exploding on impact. -

LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
That certainly does sound complex @_@; Don't get me wrong, i'm savin' that post for later consumption too. But having them die like that makes me a little sad lol I think everything else about this is juuuuust about right now - it took me a hot minute to figure out how to make different barrels. Just gotta repeat the process for the individual-dlc versions of this mod, and that's gonna take a whiiiiile... -

LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Well, they already DO despawn if you leave the area. I'm honestly not sure how long they take to despawn - i have my game's cells set to respawn every in-game day. Do they not despawn when you fast travel away and return back immediately in your game? You can also just kill them lol. What did you have in mind? -

I don't understand @_@ How do you "use(enable) "OR" for both conditions"? Wait, do you mean "Equal to / OR"? -

Aaaand I think I just figured it out - now the crabs are behaving properly. :3 Here's the finished file! I think everything's juuuust right! -
Help! My gun is too gooey!
LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Oh it already weighed heavily on my mind that it had some dependency on the DLC. I'm gonna make a version for each individual DLC and a combo of both DLCs once i get this base game one working. :3 Right now i'm just having some problem with the scuttlebutt factions. The killclaw is always hostile for some reason, even though it has all the same faction tags as the other scuttlebutts... Not that I mind too much, I like there being some risk involved in using the weapon, too. Here's the combined file - so very nearly perfect! -

LucidLady replied to LucidLady's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Welp, i'm saving this post in a notepad for later consumption. Thank you so much for giving instructions on how to do this @_@ I tested your files in-game and they're perfect! I'm sure I could follow your steps and replicate the files, but - if it ain't broke? Would you be OK with me using your files and crediting you on the mod? I'm certain I can make a version of this that doesn't require Far Harbor as well. There's only 1 reference really - one of the base game mirelurks gets overwritten by a Far Harbor file apparently. I tried just replacing the egg with a re-shaped deathclaw egg lol - but the goo was still there! It makes zero sense. -

I did indeed use Outfit Studio to edit the nif. Interesting... I'm unfamiliar with NifSkope but if it would fix this problem, i'll take a stab at it! You say you did a quick test, edited nif files and everything worked? Did you edit the files with NifSkope? I added the Impact Data long after the goo was already a problem, I thought giving it new Impact Data would actually help. Somehow... And the Impact Data doesn't seem to be hurting anything. It actually makes each impact sound like bowling pins lol
