ah, with "character" you meant your follower. In that case you are right. -

You only have to load plugins that you want to edit or that are needed for the ones you want to edit. what your character uses doesn't matter ;) -

If there are plugins installed you can select them in the CK. I don't use MO frequently, but I can't see why the installation tool should have anything to do with actually using the installed plugin in any way. You don't even need to run skyrim via MO, you may use the skse_loader.exe as well and get the same skyrim -

Why seems everyone so obsessed with running every kind of skyrim related executable trough MO? Especially in your case, if it works fine without running it via MO, why bother to fix an issue you can avoid in the 1st place? -
LOOT Report viewer window won't show

You don't have to run loot trough MO. Loot sorts your plugins and doesn't give a sh*t about mod managers ;) So try to launch the loot.exe via your windows explorer or whatever file manager you are using instead and I'm pretty sure it will work. -
Maybe obvious, but did you try to simple reinstall the dlc via DVD/Steam and/or verify the game cache (if using steam)? Sounds like there is something missing and a mod that messes with the mainstory would be.. brave or dump, I don't know:> or just badly written

Are you familiar with LOOT yet? The install order is mostly unimportant, the load order of the installed .esm and .esp is what matters. Loot does that for you.

If you can give us a list of your "many mods" someone might actually be able to help you ;)

Have you tried running loot from your explorer? I don't know why or what exactly, but MO does something different when executing a file -
Didn't you installed it in english in the first place? I you haven't that might be a explanatin why it keeps changing back

Mod cap. Could be anything, literally. And then there is the savegame, god knows whats in there what might me conflicting with your current mods. Maybe your game was corrupted in the last months. I guess you have to figure out which mod f*#@s with your game. Anyway, a list of your load order here might help, maybe someone here can point something out. A loot-log in a spoiler would be nice.

No idea, never saw anything language related anywhere else than the steam setting and in the .ini. Bethesda support?

BOSS/LOOT I would guess it's loot, cause of the CRC value, which is, as far a I know, a new feature of loot

Game crashing to desktop more and more frequently
Xelan255 replied to kookiish's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I does? Either the description doesn't mention it, or you remembered the wrong name of the mod you meant. I also looked up SMEM, cause MEMory, but there's just a gore mod. edit: Next questions, regarding skyrim config: I guess the multithreading is managed via the "threaded asdf". Elsewhere I read one shouldn't mess with threading at all, cause it may mess with the game handling it's stuff. You obviously think otherwise, why? And how fast should a CPU be, to make use of this option? -
Well, you can try these two: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31724/?tab=1 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/?tab=1 If they can get the job done? IDK, you have to try this little guy may also help, if you install it: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? In any case: backup your saves, if you haven't done it already. if you do so, it can only get better

That's why you should always make backups of everything important, like used mods, saves, etc  bookmarks to the nexus page of used mods really come in handy too If you are using the NMM you can create your own categories, where you sort your mods to your liking. E.G. "All chars", "just char 1", or something like that, but that's all something you should remember in the future (which starts now). As for your current problem, good thing you've moved skyrim out of your C drive, that will save you some trouble. But to make it right, use steam/your dvd setup. If you just move it somewhere else the system won't recognise the change, which is bad. After you did that, including the DLCs you should install a mod manager of your choice (NMM or MO, or one of the other(s) I just forgot about). After that the SKSE, followed by your standard mods, if you have any. Like unofficial patches, SkyUI, immersive stuff, fixes, enhancements, whatever you have definetly used while you played. After that.. well, hard to tell with the given informations. Most mods won't break your save if you continue it without them, but there are exceptions. Basicly you have to try and remember what your standards were and after that it's trial&error. Oh, and get some sleep/do something else in between, sometimes this stuff can be a bit frustrating and at that point you start to oversee the obvious sometimes ;) (yes, I know that from experience  )

loot is the new boss, as I learned today from another member here. if it works its fine. otherwise you have to figure out why it doesn't^^ loot can only sort the plugins and give a few tips to special ones, the rest is up to you
-
try the skse installer, it auto detects your skyrim and installs itself. nothing can go wrong, as long as your skyrim is properly installed

Game crashes immediately after bethesda logo?
Xelan255 replied to SilverStarSong's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
good to know :D installed loot early today to give it a try, noticed that the dl page is almost the same and wondered why -
I would recommend the Nexus Mod Manager (NMM). Never had trouble with installing/uninstalling mods. It isn't perfect either, but seems the most reliable from what I hear (read) ps: I'm using it since New Vegas

Use LOOT or BOSS to sort your mods in a way they run the best. Didn't try loot yet, since I'm pleased with boss so far, but as far as I know they do basicly the same -
new info: Earlier I set the check on "import mods on startup", that made it look like he isn't recognising anything. The dual sheath.redux is definetly at the bottom of the load order and activated, like you can see in the screen. But still, the patcher does nothing and if forced to, it runs boss, imports skyrim.esm (instant) and cancels with the error that the "Dual Sheath Redux.esp" is not in the load order. I've already read everything I could find here on the nexus forums, the nexus modpage itself and via google and just found others with the same problem, but no soluton. If anyone here knows something it would be much appreciated Edit with new infos: Found a comment with a similiar problem and discovered that a "Dual Seath Redux Patch.esp" was actually created, but under root E:\. However this .esp has 0 bytes and therefore doesn't do anything, even if activated in skyrim (I tried, just in case). The guy who wrote the comment solved it by using SUM (he had multipe mods with skyproc), but I've already tried that and SUM doesn't even recognise the Sheath Redux patcher (both are in there standard path under skyrim\data\Skyproc patchers) Hopefully last edit: If anyone else encounters this or a similiar problem: - Download the programm Mod Organizer - Install and execute - on the right side, click the "data" tab and navigate to the "skyproc patchers" folder and to the patcher itself - execute the patcher in Mod Organizer via right click->execute No idea what MO does exactly, but this way the patcher worked like it's meant to work.

Yeah, so? Unrecognized by boss just means that these are too tiny or too new and nobody bothered yet to make them known to the boss team. or they didn't implement it in the masterlist yet. As I see your listed mods are mainly compability mods, which are likely not to be known in the masterlist, since the majority of players doesn't use/need them

he meant to say "werewolf" I guess

That's odd. did you check the steam setting? maybe it says italian there and overwrites your change every time the game starts
