  1. Check this one, know it has 0% pylons/posts/etc but forget if switchboxs. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13394/?
  2. Trying to avoid Homemaker, had it before, but a lot of things I don't need cluttering up my workshop menu. Homemaker now has a scripted menu so not cluttering your menu.
  3. There is something similar here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10347/?
  4. Cool concept. However it would also be a complete overhaul of the game. I am a newb modder but guessing a LOT of custom scripting and redoing the entire settlement system would only be part of it.
  5. Yep, that was the setting i changed lol. At work atm and couldn't remember.
  6. You mentioned conquest mod, are you trying to make a settlement or just a shopping center? Yea replacing with statics. As to ripping a cell, never tried but you should be able to recreate it in the CK. Yea vendors no matter how ya do it. If doing just a shopping center that would be most of it. If doing it as a settlement then there are quite a few more steps. There are several CK vids on youtube. I have been focusing mostly on settlement stuff myself. Here are a couple links to hopefully point you in the right direction. https://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=Video_Tutorials https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS727US727&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=creation+kit+fallout+4+tutorial&tbm=vid&*
  7. You seem to be proposing some sort of cloud-based mod hosting where the modders can simultaneously edit the mod file and users can virtually load it into their game from the cloud server without having to repeatedly download it. Sorry, that's simply not possible or realistically feasible. Yes! Do you know some game engine that can do this cloud-based job?? or this is a monopoly of nets like steam and playstation network? The game engine itself does not support cloud based. It must be a solid data file on the device in use. There are other places you can download mods from so no it is not a net monopoly, nexus is just a proven place. It is just a limitation of what the game itself can do.
  8. I ran into this issue as well. You have to adjust a setting in the lighting tab of the location file I believe it was. If created a new area from scratch it is set to none.

  10. There was a mod starting to do this but he ran into navmesh issues and a few other minor issues with the "growth" side of it.
  11. The simple version is it takes a snapshot of a settlement and allows you to reproduce it again without having to actually build it again. You just load it in. Must have all necessary mods installed or some stuff will be missing.
  12. If you made them essential I would say find a way to extend the down time. Normally companions and such are back up in like 30sec. If could stretch it to couple min type deal.....
  13. Thanks guys. Found the sound file. Was able to lower the base file and it is much better. Should only effect vault88 water pumps so minimal impact.
  14. I looked at that mod. Looks like the author has not been on since last july. The pump I am using is from vault tec dlc. So change OBJWorkshopETC to whichever pump I am using?
  15. Hello, I am trying to figure out how to lower the volume on a generator and a water pump in a mod I am making. They are just way to loud for the space involved.
  16. No Blah. Was testing his without betho installed and his showed fine. Exited game. Installed betho (fresh dl) and went to check it out and his was gone. Exited game. Switched load order, same effect. Disabled betho and his was back. Repeat bout 2 more times with diff load orders. Will do a fresh game with just those in a bit. Working on my bunker alot lately.
  17. So I am building a place in the CK and have the covenant walls around it. Problem is you can walk right through them in game. Did some searches here but could not find anything. Anybody got any idea why/how to fix or should I just find a diff wall?
  18. It is a new one he is working on. Was thinking more like how many categories the menu can support? 65k separate menus seems a bit high. Just to make sure we talking about same thing, the main workshop menu has: Special, Structures, Furniture, Decoration, etc, etc, etc, then all the ones we add like BYOP, G2M, Thematic n Practical. I would imagine they would limit it to like 20 separate menus or something like that. Can't see the program allowing 65k individual menus. Keywords yea but not actual iconed menus. I could be wrong but just wanted to make sure we were talking about the same thing.
  19. Have run into a issue of script injected menus cancelling a diff mods menu. I use several mods that add thier own cat to main workshop menu and recently have had 2 mods that mess up. Was testing a office mod by Hozsa and the betho mod by Blah. If installed just the office one it showed in menu, same with just betho. If installed both whichever is at bottom is the one that showed. I also noticed Ethreon has put his master plan in wood. This got me wondering if there is a limit on how many new menus can be installed in same area (ie main menu/wood/metal/etc).
  20. Cool thanks. 2 recommendations for same file sounds like a winner.
  21. Have a nvidia graphics card but can't even get updates for it through nvidia. Can never connect to server. Will check out the OBS one though. Not trying to post stuff on youtube or anything. An example of what I am doing: was testing a mod other night and was sliding across the floor like was in water. Impossible to show in a screen shot. Or texture issues for another example. @Undivide- thank you and will check it out.
  22. Hello, I have been helping some folks with testing mods and am looking for a free video recorder to allow for better reports as opposed to just screenshots that don't always show the issue exactly. Doesn't have to be super high def wonder stuff just something that can show things in motion. Was browsing the net and found a lot of them and wondering if any recommendations out there.
  23. So I am doing a complete reinstall of FO4 and a mod manager for various reasons. I have been using NMM for many years but have been seeing a lot about MO2 recently. While researching it I see the orig author is now on Nexus team. Since redoing everything I was wondering if MO2 is worth all the work to set it up or should I just use NMM till the new version comes out? Sadly the vids and such online don't really show why MO2 would be any better then NMM (and what they do show is skimmed over quickly. at least for the ones I saw) so figured would ask here.
