  1. I knew the top method from the RaiderChilds mod and I think Frost uses those changes too, but the bottom one is interesting. I guess the bottom method couldn't be used for hostile little Raider bastards because they would still probably be immortal. haha I have the Nat Companion mod and plan to give her an outfit and Hair I found online that is Ellie from The Last of Us Then maybe try change face to look more like Ellie, but I haven't even started doing it yet.

I made some tree lods for pines cos I wanted to use Billboard creator and screeshot the actual pines and make as close to possible LODs for the Meshes used in Boston Natural Surrounds (but retextured) The meshes match pretty good. There is a weird transition where they match perfectly to whatever they fade into and then do a sort of secondary, not so subtle pop into the final mesh. It still matches but the transition is just not subtle.. That is just the game tho, I guess. Anyway my question is that these new tree lods have a flicker on them, depending on which direction I am facing. It is fine if standing still while facing in this one certain direction but If I start moving they flicker. heading on a different compass bearing altogether is fine. I think it might be to do with sun and direction of sun from guessing, so far only tested this on a clear day. My lods are made from the Hero Tree LOD mesh (vanilla not DLC) that is double sided. I will start testing stuff but its a hassle of course to edit one property at a time on many nifs, lod game and see if it makes a difference each time. Hoping someone might have an answer. First thing I would guess to try is the Cast Shadows Flag, It is present on the hero tree nif so present on all of mine, not sure why lod objects need to cast shadows? but I'll be lucky if my first guess fixes it.

Mine is unmodded so disable your mods first and reintroduce them a few at a time.
  4. I prefer this mod over Darker Nights. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9253?tab=description It is designed with intended use for Subtle ENB or Vouge ENB. Personally I use ENBoost only for the FPS counter and the extra ram option. I don't use any ENB preset and I find the nights look very good still.
  5. Err.. You need a PC to port mods to console. So really, console players are not the ones to blame.. I certainly do not understand the mentality of unauthorized ports but I do recall one guy, back when I played on xbox who ported many mods in about a period of two weeks and posted no description other than a link to his patreon for donations.. I msged his about how he was getting permission and he replied with this crazy rage rant about how he didn't have to explain himself to anyone. lol. Mod theft is a problem of course.. Bethesda have not a very good system for detecting it. I will say though, I recall LordOFWar giving permission to use his armors in mashups, of which I have made one. I don't recall ever seeing instruction to not post on Bethesda. But I don't post anything on Bethesda anyway. When I used to play on xbox The Mercenary Pack was up and a popular mod. I had no idea it was ported without permission.
  6. I see that 3 mods using these sounds are currently under moderator review. I feel like to be fair, I should point out that my Terrifyer Extended mod also adds the clicker sounds to ghouls. I gained permission from the Author of Clickerfied Ghouls to use the sounds but also recall finding them on a website that claimed they were royalty free to use if I remember correctly.. If they were not custom made and pulled straight from TLOU game files then Yeah, that information was most likely incorrect (again unsure of the exact license usage claim but fairly sure it was saying royalty free) And on searching, it seems the actual whole website has been taken down? Or at least at the time of this post it is unavailable for me at least. Interesting. *Edit, nope website is up must have been down the day I posted this and tried to get on it though, was just getting gateway error or something similar. And it says for personal use, although perhaps the description at the time confused me.   8. Is it possible to add different sound to explosion depending on radial distance? like, if you are close enough to take damage, would it be possible to add a ringing to the the end of the sfx that has higher priority than anything else?

  10. Think it had Wheel in the name. Nexus has a bretty bad search engine. It doesn't return hits unless the spelling is correct and only seems to search for mod titles. Its always best to use google and just type "Nexus Fallout 4 Round menu" etc

  12. I spent some time making some retextures for some True Grass textures. The recent mod by Flecked is a huge improvement on grass placement. But I wanted some variation in texture, between brown and green more in each texture. Still working on it tho. But while editing textures I found two nifs that I was constantly noticing while playing with True Grass Enabled. Its a dried Grass Nif originally but the Author L00ping has placed a single strip of grass along the bottom. From the front it looks great but from other angles, not so much. Probably when you are just playing you might not notice but when trying out retextures etc, you start looking maybe too closely and then can't unsee it. https://imgur.com/i2bhfvR https://imgur.com/Jyk9Z3L Does any other users of True Grass notice this nif or does it not bother you too much? I just see these strips of straight grass lines and they don't look good imo. The original without the strip along the bottom is fine.   13. Lol. That is not as simple as it seems. Try it, then go to ShowLooks Menu and see how it goes. I had weird transgender looking results. Also, I have heard it can break some quests to change sex via console mid game? and the voice remains female too?
  14. I wanna get a save file that has all main quest done Institute/RailRoad necessary quests only right up to where you have to do the mission that decides what side to pick. Brotherhood still untouched. No Side Quests done, no settlements taken, no loot taken, no perk points taken except maybe hacking or lockpicking coz they might be necessary. I have this exact save as a female character but I prefer male. If anyone is good at speed running the main quest that would be good. I'd probably recommend playing on very easy and using TGM console command when needed. I think Turn off Auto saves and Door saves fast travel etc. And toggle off the God mode before each save? not sure if that matters or not but It seems like it might? If no one is interested I'll have to give this a go myself. I feel like this stage of the game would be best for a starting platform to begin adding mods. A sort of Alternate Start save. I am so sick of main quest but yet have never even started any DLC. I seem to keep starting new games adding and adding mods (I can't help myself lol) and end up with an unstable game and needing to just start over coz I can never find the problem. I think a lot of the time its the actual save that ends up corrupted. Rolling back saves could work but for the game I want to spend time playing, its survival mode, and my saves never seem to go back very far? I kinda am not sure why I'm still playing this game, I guess its more just the modding that interests me.
  15. Hmm. I know about the ini edit. Thats why Im asking really coz I don't wanna break precombines. I guess Explodable cars being separate makes sense. I would be fine with replacing them with static car bodies. Shooting something 200 years old and it explodes is not really plausable.. even if it did still have fuel in the tank that hadn't been syphoned or evaporated, according to Mythbusters. lol As for 3D models. Yea It would be personal use only. Basically just need to convert the OBJ into a nif. I have found that Deviant Art has quite a lot of 3D stuff ripped from other games. Plus there are all the sites you can buy stuff for personal use. Some are Royalty free licence use.

I have a texture that seems to be left behind from a grass mod, I think it was Grasslands but I merge all textures into one esp and create duplicate record entries for Grass/ Ground tiles etc. I tend to choose what grass types I like and mix them into the ground tile record then just delete the original esp. Everything is new records so there is no dependency. I only do this for older mods that are no longer being updated. But, When disabling my combined esp. one grass texture refuses to revert back. its just a simple green Dried grass, I think from Grasslands. Is there a way to clear cache or something? I am starting again with textures. I find a lot of the green grass mods to look too dark but I think actually, that is the mesh LightingShader properties probably.
  17. I have thought about heavy weapons requiring PA Too. IMO that would be more immersive. Horizon I think adds a condition where you need certain strength to equip heavy weapons. It should be simple to create a condition that requires PA to be worn. I would also generally like to see PA move much slower, maybe default speed as Over encumbered, but be stronger and for the pieces to weigh more. Like, You should really only be able to carry one PA piece in not in a PA frame before becoming over encumbered. To me the speed would balance it more and not make it always the best option. Other buffs I would add is probably water breathing and make it immune to low level melee strikes including types that deal poison damage etc.

I found a save file that completes only the main questline. no perks have been taken, no loot even taken and no side quests done. its perfect for a new game start if you are sick of the main quest line. But the character is female and I prefer to use male characters. I read that the SexChange console command can cause a lot of problems with quests? Is there any mod or anything that allows you to switch gender ? Or Would it be possible to assign Player NPC a different body mesh and voice type? Still might lead to some odd interactions with other npcs tho.

  20. Does anyone have a working version of this mod? I think the one on nexus is maybe corrupted? Its only 240 mb or so but takes an extremely long time to download. when downloaded, it says the download is corrupted, both manual and using Mod Organiser 2. Have not tried older versions yet but If someone has 2.0 and its works for them please let me know. MikeMoores nexus page states he has quit modding and his files are free to use with credit. Idk if this is a compression issue and 2,0 never worked, but I see no posts indicating that.   21. anyone know of any green grass mods that don't end up with grass poking through buildings floors, pavement etc? I want the density in wooded areas but not in cities.. is this possible or are most ground types that have grass added actually under stuff like roads and pavement ect?
  22. so like.. what is the eta om this? I got a bunch of weapon mods and they seem like more than enough. also found a decent jamming mod. Do you have a page or youtube channel that shows progress and informs on intention? I feel like people are always gonna release weapon mods, so creating one large mod for arr popular weapons is great, but will people still be playing when you finally release? A lot of people just add the weapon mods they want and create patches if needed. its not hard but a little time consuming to just pool all meshes and textures into one esp for yourself. along with balance values. I have been excited for this "mod" but unsure why it is taking so long? hopefully it releases before the next fallout game is released. *edit I know you are creating some custom animations. have yo considered releasing the mod and updating it as you go? that seems acceptable for major game devs currently?
