  1. I had a similar problem with Esbern in the Ratway in Riften. He won't open his door or talk to me. I found a solution in the forum here somewhere. (Seems others had the same problem). The door open thing worked on a voice-trigger and his voice was "stuck". He, he. So I was told to go into the Data folder and unpack the file "Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa". That did the trick for me. Might be the same type of proplem you're having with Esmer. I haven't gotten that far in the main quest yet to see how it works for me.
  2. The biggest beef I've got with the game seems to be the duel-wielding thing. I like to duel-wield, but hot-keying my 2 favorite swords never works. One of them always seems to be something other than what I prefer. There doesn't seem to be a way to hotkey them both and make it stick.
  3. He, he Anyone one else here have a flashback of Maynard G. Krebbs? (Or, like, even know who he is/was?) He, he Sorry, my sense of humor wandered around for a moment and then settled down here, I guess.
  4. @Elendre: those heads are probably the Glenmoril witches heads from the Companions' quest. If you decide to kill them all, you end up with a few heads left over, after... well, I won't spoil it for you if you haven't done the quest. I wondered what I was going to do with them. He, he This house keeping looks very nice. Lived in, but not cluttered, as my Ma used to say. He, he. Good work!
  5. Remember your first car? Hell yeah! Remember your first lover? oh HELL YEAH! He, he. The first of anything I always remember fondly. Probably the same thing here. My first real RPG was Daggerfall, and it was my introduction to using magic, so of course I look back at it as "da bomb". But to say I'm bored with Skyrim or even disappointed with it would be silly of me. Hell, I've got over 100 hours into my first character and I haven't left Whiterun as my base yet. Seems everyone in town has something for me to do - and I just ran into Meridia's statue (or shrine or whatever it is), so it looks like my first Skyrim Daedric quest begins. I'm in awe of these new computer games - hell, I'm in awe of these new computers. He, he. And I'm enjoying the fun I'm having now. That's not to say I'm selling short the fun I had in the past (either with or without a computer. He, he).
  6. Thanks for the link!! I used these tweak guides for Morrowind and Oblivion and found them informative and useful. I'll check this out further.
  7. .STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM! No One Breaks The Law On My Watch ... or Daggerfall's "Halt!! Halt!!" He, he
  8. II haven't played NV yet, but those dam bloatflys in FO3 aren't too nice. I hate those buggers. Even later in the game, they give me a hard time. (More a nuisance than anything)
  9. Yeah, well ... I'm still always leary of those things, perk or not.
  10. Yup, I've seen that error. What it means is that one of the mods FO3Edit is loading references another file that isn't in the load order. Double-check the dependencies of each of your mods and you'll find it.
  11. I'm not 100% certain of this, but I do believe you'd be better off putting that sucker out of his misery because even if you do find a mod that allows healing of animals, you're going to end up having to kill it anyway - it'll try to tear you apart. The dang thing wasn't helping you, it was just killing stuff. he, he
  12. What are these 2 mods you mentioned, please? Do they work well with Win 7 and where may I download them?
  13. I'm running Win7 and have Fallout3 installed in c:\Fallout3. I play with no problems.
