  1. This site (ECD) is used in radiant Minutemen settlement quests occasionally. Not sure if that will figure in to any of this. Just me commenting.
  2. Good quests, but for me, both very buggy. I'm on the last quest now and Garvey and the rest of the Minutemen just teleported into the Institute. Now Garvey won't give me the explosives. Dam, the Minutemen quests were touchie this whole game. First I couldn't pick up the artillery schematics in the Armory at the Castle, and now this mess up. I really like this game, but it's almost too much work to keep it running.
  3. Ooooops. I should have remembered that reset timer thing. I've played all the Elder Scrolls since Daggerfall and in all of them, you could always clean up your rep in a province by staying away from it for a month or two. he, he I guess I'll go do some of the main quest and maybe clean up some settlements for a while then. If that doesn't fix the problem, oh well ... there's always one of the other factions if I can't progress with the Minutemen. None of the others appeals to me, though.
  4. I tried with Strong. He almost ruptured himself then kind of got angry. "This is NOT the milk of Human kindness, Strong hopes!" he, he He's a snap sometimes. Haven't tried the waiting thing yet. What's magical about 31 days? Do you think it would work if I just stayed away from the Castle for 31 days? I just met Piper outside Diamond City and haven't done anything with the main quest yet; haven't even gone to her office.
  5. Thanks for the suggestions. I thought quest items were weightless. Oh well. I emptied my inventory and tried to pick it up - no go. Still can't pick it up. Then I loaded old saves (about 5 of them). I get to that point in the quest and same thing happens. Shoot! I'm about to complete the quest with the console, but I hate doing that - never know what the side effects may be. Any other ideas?
  6. I finally got to the Old Guns Minuteman quest and I'm down in the armory with Ronnie Shaw. She tells me to grab the smoke grenades and the drawings. I have the smoke grenades now but I can't pick up the schematics - I get a message "This object is too heavy to pick up". So I continue to click around in different areas and nothing. Occasionally, I get that message again. It's like they aren't really there. It's like I'm seeing them, but the game is telling me I'm not. Any ideas?
  7. It's a Firefox option. Click on the 3 lines on the upper right of the Firefox screen, choose Options, then Applications. Find .nxm on the left side and choose Nexus Mod Manager on the right. This'll do the trick.
  8. Try using this command in your bat file - timeout /t 10 This should pause your bat file for 10 seconds ( /t 5 for 5 seconds, ,etc)
  9. Try disdabling, one at a time, the mods that affect your brightness and color, such as Brighter Settlements and Fallout 4 Enhanced Color Corrections. If one of these isn't the culprit, try Radiant Clouds and Fog, Vivid Fallout Landscapes, Vivid Fallout Rocks, then some of the retexture files. Also, maybe Deadly Rad Storms isn't playing nice with True Storms. Trial and error. Disable these type files one at a time , go back into the game after disabling each one and see what happens. It could be one mod or a combination of mods, it's difficult to say without going through this procedure. My guess is it's a combination. Then again, your video card could just be screwing with you - does this type of thing happen in other games/programs?
  10. Very nice way to use that otherwise wasted space. I just covered it with floor pieces and built over it. Might try something like this next playthrough. Thanks for sharing the idea!
  11. I really like most of these ideas, but they sound like they'd take a considerable amount of work (especially scripting). The scrapper alone would be quite a project, I imagine. I don't doubt the ability of our modders, I just wonder if the proper tools will be available and if the game will allow such extensive modification. My modding ability is NOT such that I could undertake a project this huge, but I'd love to see it done. (Almost sounds like another game inside Fallout 4.
  12. I haven't tried these settings yet, but I'm about to. Interesting. Oh, btw. as for having the game load them at startup, if you put those commands in a txt file and save it in the Fallout folder (same as you do with your files), the game will load them at startup, I believe.
  13. By default, Windows hides this folder. (AppData), so you first need to go to the Appearance and Personalization Option, then to the Folder Options Or File Explorer Options in Control Panel (depending on your version of Windows) and check the option Show hidden folders and drives. Then you'll see AppData. Hope this helps someone.
  14. Cinia is the master trainer for medium armour, who seems to be "lost" in vanilla Morrowind. I believe this file puts her back where she's supposed to be. (I forget where that is, sorry. On the docks at Tel Fry maybe? Not sure). Oh, and btw, few people will trust a zip file presented like this.
  15. "Marriage doesn't work..." After 3 divorces, I know that. He, he Think I'm gonna mess with it in a game???? Geeeez!!
  16. OK - I tried SkyUI and decided to uninstall it and got the same thing. A friend was over lately and had his laptop with him with Skyrim on it, so I asked him if I could look at his directory structure. His Skyrim\date folder had an extra folder in it named Interface eith one file in it called Translate_English.txt. I copied that folder to my Skyrim\date folder and fired up Skyrim. $ gone and all normal. I hope this helps (and I hope this isn't a form of piracy - he, he)
  17. @ Feanoro: Yeah, I just did the side quest to get that tree blooming again. Nice. Lots of things to do in and around Whiterun. Even though I like the player home in Windhelm more, Whiterun is still my guy's home. He, he.
  18. Hey!!!! Great! Thanks for pointing this out to me. I'll definately check this out!
  19. I've mentioned this before, so ... sorry for repeating myself, but I guess I'd be happy with a "Better Signposts" mod, like the one in Morrowind. (Not that there's anything wrong with the signposts in Skyrim, I just have a tough time reading them.) I'm usually not in a big hurry to get someplace and like to explore, but still want to know I'm heading in the right direction to my current objective. He, he. (I'm easily pleased)
  20. He, he. I was just passing through today and wasn't even going to sign in, but then I watched the video - GOT ME. He, he Had to sign in to say thanks for the giggles. I enjoyed this!
  21. Yup, Skyrim is great, even with its flaws. All the Elder Scrolls games are. And I'd like to thank Bethesda and all the modders also. Now, if someone would come up with a "Better Signposts" mod for Skyrim, these old eyes would love it (That '47' in my nick isn't my age - rather my birth year. He, he)
  22. He, he. Follow through with that little quest - it gets 'better'.
  23. "I just got an Assault for sneak attacking a draugr with my bow. Do you get charged with assault IRL if you attack the undead? " IRL they call this deviant sexual behavior, I think. He, he
