  1. If you use a mod called Spectacle Facelift, that may be your culprit. Nice mod except for that issue
  2. Messed up build menu is more due to uninstalling a mod improperly than it is to the new mods. You probably forgot to use the "uninstall chem" before unistalling something (Snap'n Build, maybe). http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22205/? This fix may help you.
  3. @mighty zog Now that's a handy piece of info. I'm gonna check out that invisible plate thingee now. Sounds like it could come in handy. Thanks!
  4. Disable Avast's shields temporarily and try to install again. Avast may have deleted or quaranteed the .exe so you may need to re-download F4SE.
  5. No mod is essential, except perhaps, the unofficial patch. Play the game without any mods, as others have suggested, and then you can tell what is lacking for YOUR playstyle and look for mods that fill these voids.
  6. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5479362-beginners-guide-to-xedit-merged-patch-wrye-bashed-patch-used-together/ If we want to use mods with a Bethesda game, we need to do a bit of work. Fortunately, we have the above guide to help.
  7. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5479362-beginners-guide-to-xedit-merged-patch-wrye-bashed-patch-used-together/ Please try this. It takes a bit of reading at first, but it will fix you up. It helped me.
  8. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5479362-beginners-guide-to-xedit-merged-patch-wrye-bashed-patch-used-together/ The above link is to a guide to finalizing a load order. Takes a bit of reading, but isn't as daunting as it appears at first. Once you go through the steps one at a time with your load order, you'll see it makes sense and soon it'll become second nature to do it when you add or remove mods (although removing mods is not a good idea in the same play-through). It helped sort out a few issues I was having and I don't use nearly the number of mods you have here. he, he My game would crap out any time I'd get close to 50 mods and using this guide I now have close to 90 running. Getting an almost constant 60 FPS also. Give it a try.
  9. Re: BOS In reading the terminals in the Cambridge Police Dept., Danse suggests bombing certain area to save resources. Yeah, I know. Another reason I dislike the BOS. I role-play this game and really get into that part, so I find myself asking lots of these type questions. I was in demolition in the Army in the '60s and I know the devastation even conventional explosives can cause, so I think twice (sometimes 3 times) before I so much as toss a grenade in the game. (Opening that door to the Cambridge Police station and tossing in a Molotov or two doesn't seem to phase me though. he, he)
  10. That's an impressive mod-list. My computer would choke looking at it. he, he. I only have two suggestions. Not sure why you're using both Spring Cleaning and Scrap Eveything, but in order for Scrap Everything to work properly, it needs to be last in the load order. That probably has nothing to do with your crashes though, just how Scrap Everything works. The most helpful thing I've run across is Beginners guide to Xedit merged patch / WRYE bashed patch used together That post looks daunting at first, but if you read it slowly and follow his steps one by one, it may help you. It sure fixed a lot of my problems.
  11. No, no, no. We want to salvage what's left, not destroy it. I understand what you all mean, but we humans need some place to call home. Everyone can't run around in power armor, carrying tons of RadX and RadAway. We want to rebuild, not finish the job the idiots started 200-odd years ago. Shoot! The use of mini-nukes even disturbs me.
  12. I believe you can delete the Fallout4.ini file and the game will create a new one the next time you launch it.
  13. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20558/? This link is to a little mod that helped me. Give it a try. Oops. Someone beat me to it - but it works, so here's 2 endorsements.
  14. My character and his family were used in an experiment (frozen in Vault 111) without their consent. His wife was killed and his child was kidnapped, all while in this vault. Now he is understandably hostile towards anything or anyone related to Vault-tec. Hell, he almost killed the Vault-tec sales rep when he ran into him in the hotel in Goodneighbor. So no, he will not tolerate her living in a vault that he builds, even if it means not having access to the goodies. He even ponders not building a vault, covering the hole back up again and letting the raiders have it. This man is not a forgiving person.
  15. I really enjoy Far Harbor also, but I don't share your love of the Nucleus. In fact, I sorta dread going into that dam thing. I always get lost. He, he
  16. Just to upload a blueprint? Wait, I may be missing something here.
  17. That's a toughie, but there are mods which turn both of these locations into settlements. Your best bet for a good answer would probably be to check on those mod pages and perhaps ask on each one.
  18. I juust noticed this recently also. I'm checking through my mod list to see if there may be a conflict, but I'm not sure what I need to be looking for. Perhaps someone who has solved it on his/her end will come to our rescue.
  19. I can verify what demanding said, Scrap Everything HAS to be last in your load order or it doesn't work properly.
  20. I've got 'em all now and nothing great happens, except my save game loads a lot slower. he, he
  21. Tell her Vault-tec can burn for all you care. Then tell her this is your vault and to get out if she wants to live. She leaves, you fail her quest, but still receive the plans for all the goodies. Then build the vault, if you want. That's what I did because she got on my nerves from the start.
  22. Sure. As the original author said in his readme, Use one or both. The mod was basically a change to the workshop at the airport, making it full feautured. The Nano Tech water pump was a little extra he threw in for us.
  23. Before going through a lot of head banging, try disabling godrays... or at least trn it down May just be the thing. Worked for me.
