This seems like you are less productive on regarding what you do, your perspectives, visions and you know I guess.
I am talking about the entire staff.
You have become some blubb that doesn't dare do anything without asking if it is OK with everyone?
I really look forward to some bravery in the nearest future.
This is boring.
BlindJudge wrote: It's more the fact that we are very community orientated, this site is here for our users and we want to do right by them. Unlike larger sites that are run by their overseeing corporations, we are a tiny independent team who are here to build a site that you all enjoy to come to.

We already have a number of features and interviews lined up, but with a community this big, we really want to produce content that is going to have the largest interest and asking for peoples opinion really isn't less productive - but actually the opposite.

Why, they wouldn't cause problems or stir up their markets too much. Maybe they even had to answer questions on the News - on the television even.
But I wish you all the best with whatever you do. If you are not heroes, why are we even here?

I understand your feelings here as I deal with clients myself in a communication company.
The good news is that Nexus is not a communication company and we are not clients.

Cheer up ;)

I would honestly recommend interviews with lesser-known mod authors and software developers. There are lots of mods on the Nexus that don't get much attention, but they have had lots and lots of effort gone into them. It's easy to just pick out mod authors from the top 100 and have them iterate how good they are, but I'd like you to search around and give attention to the other end of the spectrum.

Alenet (for example) is not as well known around Skyrim as he was with Oblivion these days. I'd like to see some 'blasts from the past' as well now I mention it.

If anyone here has any suggestions, it would be interesting to look them up and have a look at their work!

1) Let's merge the account of the Nexus site and the forum. I always found it totally pointless and really unpleasent (and unpractical) to have these 2 separated.
2) At this point, i believe a lot of people, aswell as me, have a nearly-infinite list "tracked" mods, in the apposite nexus tab. Yet there is no real search button for that tab. Can you implement the same "categories" filter for the "tracked mods" tab? That would be so sweet.

Thank you for all your work.

I read a lot of comments here and people are seeing nexus by the prism of Skyrim. I know Skyrim is one of the best modded game here, but we can't look behind. We need to move forward to build a better future not only for Skyrim, but also for many other wonderful games out there. I think we should stop talking about Skyrim and focus on the future. This site need a new interface and NMM need a new engine that could handle not only Bethesda games! What users need is:

1.) A clean, fast website both on computers and mobile devices

2.) A mod community that is active and willing to help each other.

3.) A tool that can be used without any bugs (working with as many games as it can)

4.) and the last I think the biggest. A Person who is willing to share it's knowledge, resources, money and time to make this community a better place for everyone. I mean the owner of Nexus because without Him this cannot be done.

We are only users that only demands something, but that's not fair. We need to share our knowledge and cooperate with as many subject as we can. I think we need to create a place where people can share their Ideas about how this community should looks like and a person who will moderate it. It's not an easy job I know. But One guy can't do all those things but with our help this could be done.

Ps. As for the Skyrim special edition... Well It's a new game and it should be treat like a new game.

I'd like to make a suggestion that if you start doing these sort of weekly things to appear in the news scroller, have some way of highlighting when there is ACTUAL news that needs to be viewed. Your banner with the red "Site news" is a good start but I would make it more prominent, especially if similar banners will be highlighting the other features. I'd put it on a different side, or center it or something. Less aesthetic, more eye catching and gives importance to it. I know I for one will stop looking at the news channel unless something bold catches my eye if every time I go there casually it's an interview I don't care about or something like that.

As far as the features themselves, I would say stay away from the huge guys. Maybe once in a while, but honestly, when you feature a mod author who already has mods in the top 100, all you're doing its featuring mods that are already as prominent as they can be. There's mods around that have less then 1000 endorsements that are just as high quality and no one knows about them.

Three authors of the top of my head from three different modding areas I would love to see an interview with:

Lind001 (texture artist), Ruhadre (patch creator), flexcreator (plugin maker, has a few popular mods but most of his mods are much less known and rarely mentioned).

This post mostly seemed to be talking specifically about these interviews etc, so thats what I went for as far as feedback. If you also want feedback on actual site mechanics, that was confusing and unclear.

I realize this might entail a lot of work and time, but its essential if you're going to be pushing out the next generation mod manager.

As we've all come to learn, modding is not just plug and play anymore.

There DEFINITELY needs to be a Modding Tutorial Section.

This is a MUST

padawanjedi wrote: I would like a more prominent display and explanation of permissions on mods. There is obviously some confusion about what and why, and an open discussion might be helpful.

For instance, an explanation by someone like Jokerine or Elianora about what resources came from where, and what they did to get permission to use them.

Most, if not all, description pages cover the permissions.

I agree with this as well, maybe an "Up and coming" articles/interviews.

It's great that everybody wants to cover the big celebrity modders, but that just pushes other smaller modders farther and farther down if all you talk about is the big ones, as if they're the only ones who exist. Edited by HadToRegister
