  1. I know all about the aforementioned weapons systems. The M79 I could see as there are no grenade launchers in the game. The RPG-7 on the other hand is simply too damned iconic, just like the "Chinese Assault Rifle."
  2. Here's a rule that's good to follow for weapons for Fallout... If it was made after 1955, it might be a good idea to leave it out. The only reason I excuse the Desert Eagle is because it was included because it is the single most overused gun in Hollywood.
  3. Okay, I'm about to go crazy here. I've been working on scripts all day and am finally to the cry for help point to anyone who listens. I am trying to script it so that if you go equal to above 750 Karma or equal to below -750 Karma one of two characters will enable. This character will immediately hunt you down at one of 2 predetermined locations depending on which perk and enter a conversation with you offering you the appropriate perk in the form of a "message" After that I'd like them to leave the cell or at least run a good distance away then player and then disable themselves. I've tried to reverse engineer the woman from the Replicated Man quest but have only managed to confuse myself even more.
  4. Some of us have been fans of Fallout since it came out. After all the crap we've dealt with over the years, there is a very good reason we're called "Glittering Gems of Hatred".
  5. I'm trying to lower the ranged attack on the "radioactive gore" grenade used by Feral Ghoul Reavers but I can't tune it down from 88. Is there something I'm missing? If you're wondering, I'm making a mod attempting to make the DLC critters less... disgustingly overpowered.
  6. If you're offering to make textures and models I'd like to see a faithful looking rendition of the Fallout/Fallout 2 spear and a crude, kitbashed looking machete that looks like some wastelander took a trick spring off one of the countless vehicle wrecks, ground it down into shape, sharpened it, and wrapped it in leather to give him a hand guard, kinda like what Rambo did in Rambo IV only a full sized machete with a standard curved end. In other words, kit bash weapons that would fit the setting like a glove and convey some of the savage ingenuity of the wasteland
  7. I decided to, in true fallout fashion to use a pop culture reference. The Regulator is named Brisco County. Well, I must say this is a learning experience. I'm rather sure I have the NPCs designed right and I converted over the Perks. Now its the dialogue I need to figure out. Any good tutorials?
  8. And you name the number one piece of idiocy about the entire game. Also, why the HELL would the entire river system be radiated and what massive climate change turned DC into a DESERT. Its a FRACKIN' SWAMP! California as a desert MAKES sense. Why? BECAUSE CALIFORNIA ALREADY IS A DESERT! If someone wanted to make a good mod "Makes sense" mod they'd take Point Lookout and make the whole damned Capitol Wasteland like that. Great thinking Beth, you slack jawed morons. First they make kids completely unkillable. Okay, I can see that... stupid, but I can see why they'd do it. Then they have it so you have to deal with kids to enter a plot critical vault. Okay, that is a bit dumber. Now lets make them the most obnoxious pack hateful little smegheads ever created. Idiots. On top of that, Little Lamplight doesn't make any gorram sense as where the hell do the new kids come from? It simply fails at logic, like most of the damned game!
  9. there are technically already wagons in game. They just don't work. And if you make Wagons, I strongly suggest you look at the Fallout 1/2 art for them. They're made from the cut off back ends of pickup trucks.
  10. Its because, like slack jawed idiots they really are, Beth once again blew the entire voice acting budget on one big name who was in it for all of 5 scenes then died.
  11. I personally can't stand the on-arm Pipboy 3000 but the PDA mod simply doesn't fit the retro-50s look. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to make a PDA like mod that gives you something like the classic Pipboy 2000?
  12. No. I'm fine with exploding heads and melting people. Its just that human beings simply don't like being near dead bodies and almost all the pointless raider gore is... well... just that. I could see heads on pikes as "examples" or the odd crucifixion... but keeping corpses nailed to your wall where you eat and sleep... that just isn't something humans do. The smell alone would convince even the most nuts raider otherwise, if not the very real disease threat. *double check* Actually the VERY basic version does what I was asking. :)
  13. Are there any mods that remove most of the raider decorative corpses? I mean its completely reasonable for them to keep around bodies to inspire terror and the like, but not close to their living space. Human beings have a deeply rooted biological reaction to the dead and even lunatics wouldn't want to be around dead, rotting bodies.
  14. *checks* Oh yeah. Thought it was modded in... my bad. :whistling:
  15. Looking for the Mod that gives you a perk that allows you to go into sneak mode and kill sleeping individuals without alerting anyone around you as to what you've done.
  16. Decent, not great. Download it and see. The guns are mostly worth it. I love the 14mm.
  17. Included in the Classic Fallout Weapons Mod.
  18. They claim to be one and technically are the remains of the US government. Along those lines, so are the Brotherhood of Steel. Doesn't mean they have any authority. Here's how you become a government, the short version. "I'm the boss" "No you're not!" *BANG* "I'm the boss." "You're the boss!" Instant Government. As soon as people agree that you have the right and authority to impose your will with violence, you're the government. Its why Simms was the Sheriff/Mayor of Megaton. Everyone agreed that he had the right to wear the little badge, carry the gun, and shoot up people who break the law. If people don't agree, well, that's where we find problems.
  19. Favorate: Moira: She's quirky, crazy, and entertaining. She's one of the few NPCs I could see actually fitting in the first 2 Fallout games. Doesn't hurt that she's a redhead and I like Redheads. ;) Sidney: She has an interesting story, is decently capable, and is honestly one of the few NPCs who'd have made a good companion in the Fallout 2 style. Hell, expand her history a bit, turn it into a quest, and you could have a Bioware style romanceable party memeber on your hands. Hate: Amata: Princess "female dog" here. She probably could have talked you past the guards in the vault saying she was bringing you to her father then when you heroically come running back the spoiled little girlfriend kicks you right back out. Most of the Brotherhood of Steel: Yes, I ask for caps to help you. Why? Because ammunition and stimpacks aren't free. That's why. Doctor Li: Most of the reasons outlined above. Mister Burke: Blow up a town using such pathetic excuses in order to remove it from Tenpenny's view of DC? That's just retarded. At least think of a better reason to detonate that nuke. James: For a genius he isn't that bright. Lets see, he runs out without warning or explanation, leaving you locked in a vault controlled by a violent megalomaniac, ever explains our origins, and once you meet back up is proud to thank you for your hard work by making you his personal errand boy. Screw you too, pops.
  20. Play the original Fallout. The Max Max references are rife. Most of the Mad Max refs in FO3 are inherited.
  21. Eh? Sounds a bit too "Oblivion" to me, no offense. Suspicion. You were spotted in Megaton and seen talking with Burke. Soon after both of you left town and it exploded. After that you are seen living on the penthouse floor of Tenpenny Tower. Something fishy is up... :P by whom???? anyone who saw you talk to Burke is dead and you can't convict anyone based on suspicion. and even if someone saw you talk to Burke, no one knew that Burke was trying to blow up Megaton if something like that happened IRL people would say that the bomb went off on its own and it was an accident waiting to happen Moira survives and she seems like the kind of person who hears about everything that happens in town.
  22. I'd help but frankly this is a bit beyond my abilities... Let me rephrase that. WAAAY beyond them. Still, good luck.
