  1. One thing that has always annoyed me. In a area totally devoid of any form of government authority, a crimelord would simply be the leader of a kleptocratic authoritaian government.
  2. Thanks a lot Spammster. I already have a name for the Thug in mind (Rocco) but I haven't named the Regulator. I'll give you the honors. :)
  3. Thanks a lot! How do I have them show up only when you reach the Very Good/Evil karma level and automatically talk to the PC?
  4. Suspicion. You were spotted in Megaton and seen talking with Burke. Soon after both of you left town and it exploded. After that you are seen living on the penthouse floor of Tenpenny Tower. Something fishy is up... :P
  5. Not a mod yet as I'm lost as to how to pull it off. The technical aspects are still beyond me.
  6. I'm a fan of the Pipboy PDA replacement mod but would it be possible to get something more in line with the classic Pipboy from the first two games? Just wondering out loud here.
  7. I'm worse than you. I'm still confused by the GECK's basic functions.
  8. Bethesda has Quality Control? :ermm: Now, see ... that would be NEWS! Used to. Morrowind was a good game. Since them they've been going right down the drain.
  9. Heh. I'm just poo of hearing "NO MOAR LAWYERS!" Its completely simplistic and in no way helps the problem, and in fact would make it worse. Oh, I think Herve needs to be skinned alive and rolled in salt for canceling Van Buran in favor of PoS. My feelings on Todd on the other hand are not fit to publish publicly. Honestly, I think that Bethesda's quality level is utter garbage these days.
  10. I'd change it to a resistance system reminiscent of the first Fallout myself that cuts damage down by percentage. Nothing like shooting a Power Armored Brotherhood Paladin in the face with an SMG for a whole THREE damage. This is of course followed up by getting sawed in half with a Minigun ;)
  11. Not yet, but I can tell you I'm completely sick of that idiotic crap. Its not all laywers that are the problem, just the slip and fall jerks who work in Torts, along with the easily abused laws and insurance companies who will settle at the drop of a hat. No, its just that I am not the judge of the case nor am I on a jury, thus I have the privilege of taking things at face value, and from what I've seen Beth has been jerking Interplay around royally.
  12. Please Be Kind... release this mod for public distribution.
  13. Good idea. Nuking Megaton is an automatic invalidation and might actually be a good way for you to get an automatic visit from Rocco (The Thug). Nuking one of the largest settlements in the Capitol Wasteland is a true mark of the kind of rat male without a father who'd they'd look for. Might be an interesting concept. Just as urbane and good mannered but while Burke comes off as a sleaze (and for good reason) this guy is pretty much Mr. Lawful Good Paladin Type. Still, problem remains I have no idea where to start with this.
  14. Who the hell do you think you're talking about!? Kamina doesn't follow. He leads.
  15. Only in their individual strain of FEV which produces what I like to call Stooper Mutants. True Super Mutants have gender, gray-green skin, gums, brains larger than a grape, and don't walk around carrying bags of assorted Gore.
  16. Beth is as guilty as sin. They're just not liable until the court determines it. This isn't criminal court so "Innocent until proven guilty" isn't the issue. Its the preponderance of the evidence, IE: Who's most at fault. Interplay is run by a bonehead, true, but it looks like they've been following their side of the contract and while Beth has a valid (abet minor) complaint about the name of the Fallout Trilogy being potentially misleading (to total idiots), they could have easily vetoed the name Fallout Trilogy in the packaging approval stage but didn't, they've been jerking Interplay around at every opportunity. Congratulations, you just made the single dumbest statement I've heard all day. I'd say all week, but some of the all caps ranting in the Part 1 of this was a bit crazed, even by my relaxed standards of mental stability.
  17. I've been trying to figure out how to make this mod myself but could use some help. Its going to be a first mod. What I want to do is simple. I want to remove Contract Killer and Lawbringer from the perk list and instead have it so when you hit Very Evil/Very Good you're visited by an NPC who says they're delivering a message from interested parties who've been following your progress and would like to speak with you. Maybe have it so you have to have completed the GNR quest first so that the "interested parties" radios could have heard about your good/evil deeds and have decided to make you an offer. If you're very good, you get visited by a well mannered Regulator who congratulates you on your deeds, says you're doing a great job, and says he has an message for you from their leader but refuses to say much more because its not his place to say... you accept the message you get the message in the form of the Lawbringer Perk (and attached letter). If you're evil you get contacted by a rough looking thug with a limited dialogue who demands to know if you're "The younger of the two individuals who have recently left Vault 101". If you attempt to expound on it he demands to know "Yes or No." If you blow him off he takes it as a "No." If you say yes he delivers "the package" in the form of the Contract Killer perk and attached message. Thoughts? Any hits on how to do this? I'm thinking they walk up to you if/when you visit Megaton and Rivet City in the case of the Regulator (wouldn't be caught dead in Tenpenny Tower, even if he could get through the gates) and the thug at Tenpenny Tower and Rivit City (Megaton is probably a glowing radioactive crater and even if its not, its not exactly an ideal environment for large, muscle bound delivery thugs with limited intellects) I plan on voicing them myself and already have limited dialogue written and voices in mind for both. The Thug is going to be very brief, stilted language that is completely to the point but has an impressive sounding abet limited, vocabulary. The Regulator is going to have a southern twang and be extremely friendly though not quite forthcoming about what the message is about because its not his place to say, but he will give his word that its all on the level. Help would be welcomed as I'm pretty much clueless.
  18. Crud, wrong subforum... this isn't a request as much as it is a discussion :P
  19. They never bought the rights, they retained them when they sold the property as a condition of sale, along with the rights to sell Fallout/2/Tactics. They met the time table needed to begin development of V13 and Beth is still giving them crap about it, along with Beth's illegal attempts to block them from selling the original Fallout games. And yeah, zenimax does suck. So bad the BBB has them listed as an F company and Beth itself is a D-.

  21. They're not trying to take down Beth, they're trying to get Fallout back, which won't matter in the long run for 2 more games as Beth still retains the right to make Fallout 4 and 5. All it means is that Interplay will get royalties. Oh, and considering how you just put it... you're just as Crazy a Fanboi as the folks at NMA... you're just a Beth fanboi. Its also about how far you're willing to take it. Interplay has more to loose so its quite possible they might be willing to divert the entire 35 million from V13's development temporarily into legal costs and hope to recomp it in damages and royalties.
  22. Looking forward to seeing Bethesda get their come uppance for breaking the law. :)
  23. Also taken from the NMA site, this time without the psychotic fanboi ranting.
  24. Just the thing you need to kick reason to the curb and go beyond the impossible! (Because, that's how Team Dai-Gurren rolls, don't ya know!)
