Look, you can interpret it that way if you want, but that's not what I'm saying. The stance is valid, we define our heroes as those who risk their own lives to help others. It is you who brought that up, though, not I. Your second statement is hard wired into every mobile living creature. Nevertheless, you indicated that "my" stance was the "good" one. Assuming that you believe our views are opposed, what's that say about your opinion on self preservation? Since you edited your post: I've not watched that show. You misunderstand, I'm not judging Paarthurnax for the way he is now, I'm saying that he's still responsible for what he did in the past. If a Josef Mengele had survived the second world war, and somehow lived for a couple hundred years in peace, would he be absolved of his actions during wwII purely as a factor of age?

If you use realistic ragdolls and force, you should be ashamed, sir.

No, you're saying that. I said that if you don't rob today, you're still responsible for the theft you committed yesterday. The 'ancient Chinese Emperors' logic' was logical, but lacked morality. If you're trying to say that ol' parthy is just an innocent family member, you're mistaken. He was just as vicious as any other dragon during their original reign of terror: he's not being punished for alduins crimes, he's being punished for his own. Actually, Voldemort's victims were usually killed at their homes. He also rarely mass killed - he was up close and personal. The bodies would be identifiable even if they were unrecognizable. Your personal logic is flawed: the point isn't to punish Alduin by dealing with Paarthurnax, the point is to punish Ol' Paarthy for the crimes he commit. Just as imprisoning a 'Death Dealer' isn't about punishing modly voldy, it's about exacting justice on the henchman, or henchwoman. A criminal might resort to extreme measures when avoiding punishment, but you don't just leave them unpunished, in fear of that possibility. Furthermore, only a sociopath thinks: I might be reprimanded for misbehavior, I'd better do something even worse. It's pathological to think, "I'm going to be punished for hurting that person, anyway, so I might as well hurt more people while I can." While there are sociopaths in the world, we don't just let them do as they please, and we don't let them walk free just because they vow not to hurt anyone again. That said, I don't think Paarthurnax is a sociopath. I think you are. You're the one talking about executing entire families for the crime of an individual, killing rape victims to prevent them from identifying the perpetrator, and damaging post-murder corpses until they're unrecognizable. It is you who took the statement, "criminals should be held responsible for their crimes," to mean that criminals should up their ante. Get professional help.

I didn't get through your whole post, although I will later, I just wanted to pitch my 2 cents. This whole idea of arrows piercing armor, or not, could have fun implications for crossbows and SkyRe's heavy bow variation. If, instead of just ignoring part of the enemies armor, crossbows had a larger number of acceptable locations, that'd be really cool. SkyRe's long bows should have a larger number of acceptable locations, relative to short bows, within a certain distance.

Very interesting, I can't help you (no musical talent whatsoever) but I'm glad someones expanding on the whole bard thing. People talk about the forsworn being unfinished, but the bards were just... sad.

First off, there is no such thing as an "MCM menu." MCM stands for Mod Configuration Menu. So MCM Menu = Mod Configuration Menu Menu. Second the MCM is a feature of SkyUi. Mods often rely on the MCM, but it's not available in vanilla skyrim, so you have to install SkyUi to use this menu. If you're talking about a pop-up menu where you have yes/no options, these are sometimes run by quests (not to be confused with the in-game quest). To access that kind of menu, you can either de and reactivate the mod. Alternatively, you can use the "start quest" command, but you'd need to know the quest's name.

That's actually how the developers intended it, the prisoner clothes were just one of many vanilla glitches, you probably installed a fix. In all honesty, if you got any body mods or body mod supplements, that's probably your issue. I doubt it's a bug or a glitch, sounds like something a mod would do deliberately. An example of a supplement would be a tattoo, body scar, breast slider, or clothing mod.

None of the things you want to do are smooth. Skyrim doesn't come smooth to begin with, and every time you fiddle with things the way you want to, you're taking a risk. You're much better off just starting a new character.

Writer Wanted For DLC-Scale Skyrim Projects
Nudedragon replied to rjhelms84's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
What are you, extremly limited? First you say you wouldn't see any sense in the post and now you say you didn't even read the whole thing. Duuuh? Also, i don't refer to any movies in the first post. Not able to understand and not able to conclude, but at least you have a big signature which does the very thing you are not be able to get by the Topic starters project, listing the own projects! Thanks anyway for wasting space. Stopped caring does not equal stopped reading. You start your post with something as bigoted and nonsensical as: "The Work of the writer who joins up with you looks typical female writer," and have sentences that hold little meaning in English like, "I would you refer to take a look at this how other writers of bestselling books and games work." Much of your post was severely off topic: complaining about who stole ideas from whom, talking about different games, and your opinion on the depth of fantasy writing. Plus, for all your criticism of my not reading his or her signature, you couldn't figure out what genre they needed a writer for. Clearly, you didn't follow the links in his or her signature either. A signature is a supplement to posting, not substitute for commenting. People can read signatures, if they so choose, but it does not substitute missing information in a post - ever. Yes, my signature includes addresses for articles and mods that I enjoyed or produced. When I make threads related to my signature, however, I don't rely on my signature as part of the post. If one cannot be bothered to finish one's topic, and instead relies upon one's signature, what one has to say doesn't mean much to him or her. In such cases, one's statement means even less to me. Signatures are like shirts. One can start many different conversations throughout the day, but one will be wearing that same shirt for every exchange. Even if what's written on one's shirt is relevant to a particular discussion, one does not stop mid sentence, and require the other party to fill in the blank by reading one's shirt. At worst, one points to one's shirt; a passive aggressive behavior that's likely to raise ire. Finally among one's options on the nexus forums, one can ignore all signatures in topics and personal messages, rendering signatures an ineffective method of relaying important information. -

Don't act, you know exactly what i mean. This site was linked in his signature the whole time. Maybee you see no sense in what i wrote because you don't care for the affort that is needed for looking into things. This isn't the narcistic part. The narcistic part is the fact, that they demand examples of work as they would do the people who would work for them for free a favor, there is no word about payment, when its the other way around. There are maybee 5 or less people in Hollywood who can write a good story. People neglect the story itself, the glue for the whole project, because the visual effects deceive them. I call that the Avatar effect, which had a total dumb senseless story but everyone was just fixated on the visual effects of the computer generated world pandora. No, I really don't know what you meant. Seriously, I've seen better organized stream-of-thought. Plus I stopped caring when you started talking about random movies and whatnot that has nothing to do with this thread. The post I've quoted also has atrocious grammar, and I'm hoping that English isn't your first language. Signatures aren't where information relevant to any particular post goes. They show up everywhere, not just in the one thread. Furthermore, if s/he's working on multiple projects, they have to confirm which project they need a writer for. In the case of large projects, such undertakings often have multiple writers, and one is needed for a particular aspect of the mod. Writing the story of a few characters and how they fit into the larger picture, for example. This is especially true with a DLC sized project. So hollywood has bad writers, news flash, writers exist outside of hollywood. If I'm understanding correctly, and I had to reread both posts twice to get this far, you want to be paid for this gig? It's a mod, no one gets paid for mods. Donations come in, if you're lucky, with anywhere from $5 to $500 but you're just as likely to receive nothing at all. -
Way to make specific arrows unretrievable?
Nudedragon replied to Svard's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You could remove the playable flag so that it's invisible to the player, maybe. -
This mod had been made multiple times... although I'm not sure about Yamamoto's zanpakuto in shikai form. I know there was one or two with numerous zanpakuto. Not bleach related, but there's a really good fire sword called the Infinity Blade.

[Trailer/WIP] Falskaar - A New Lands Mod

It may not be, but if there's a page for it, the file will be shortly. Barring something unexpected, of course. -
Something I've not seen yet, on this forum, is a thread for refining either mod ideas or requests. Two heads are better than one, as they say, so why don't we put these noggins together? It's great when people offer constructive criticism after a mod is released, but it's a whole lot less work when that information is available prior to release. Mod requests don't get taken if they're not fleshed out. This thread, if it takes off, will be a place to sand off the rough edges. If an idea shows promise, but isn't ready for production, post it here! I, and hopefully others, will reply with my appraisal of the idea and how it could be improved. If you've got an armor or weapon mod, post images! Imagery is my specialty, as far as critiques. Furthermore, if you have multiple options in how to proceed, get a second opinion here. We can help make a list of pros and cons to each possible approach, hopefully simplifying the decision. Finally, if you're having writers block, perhaps one of us forum lurkers can outline a new approach. What this thread is for: Improving unfinished mod conceptsAdding detail to mod requestsCritiquing mods before they're releasedWorking on the details of partially complete modsConstructive criticism. Emphasis on constructive. What this thread is not for: Directions: there are other threads, and sites, for those. If you know what you want to do, but not how to do it, this isn't the thread you're looking for!Flaming. If you don't like an idea, don't post about it. This is nexus rules, and mine. Find another forum to troll.Finding your missing socks. I've hidden them all across tamriel, and I'm not telling you where, so don't ask. Advertising. If you're just coming here to generate excitement about your upcoming mod, go away. *hisses* Getting unconditional approval. While the emphasis is on constructive, you're still here for criticism. So, shall we begin?

Writer Wanted For DLC-Scale Skyrim Projects
Nudedragon replied to rjhelms84's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
@LP1 I swear I didn't read that until after editing my first post, ;D @ionis now we're getting somewhere! -
It definitely is, and moving the bodyslot might work, but I'm not sure how. Perhaps take a look at one of the armor packs, like armor of intrigue, or Aesir armor, that uses additional bodyslots. See how the items fit in with the bodyslots, and then use what you've learned to move bracer style gloves to the forearm.

LE Weapon Enchantment Texture and Animation mod
Nudedragon replied to Nudedragon's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
It's not, but thanks for the link anyway! That mod improves the vanilla shaders, but the vanilla shaders aren't even worth improving on. If any shader is to be used, it needs to be the kind of quality found in "Moss Rocks" or "Undead - FX." Fire, in particular, should include three dimensions.- 4 replies

Nope, that can't be done, copyright law. Unless FF's music isn't ©. You have to make it for yourself. There's a mod for adding your own music to your personal game, though, somewhere.

I don't know if your (platton's) grammar is atrocious on purpose or not, but your post makes little sense. As to the original poster, you get what you pay for; in this case, you get what you post for. You won't spark interest in a "DLC sized" project without evidence to support your claim. This isn't the 1950's anymore, having something doesn't mean people want to buy. Telling us what you need a writer for, on the other hand, might get a lot of interest. Fanfiction wouldn't be so abundant if people didn't like writing stories :P Edit: Sorry for being so ornery, I just find a post asking for help without actually specifying what you need help with to be narcissistic. The project itself looks quite interesting, and I do hope you find a writer, I just don't have the time. I probably don't have the skill in writing, either, unless you want a research paper :P -
Don't forget Druid Essentials, Wrath of Nature, Skyrim Reforestation Project, Tame the Beasts of Skyrim, Spriggan Follower - Kriju,

Dropping a couple 'heavy' mods, need a second opinion
Nudedragon replied to Nudedragon's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
My point was that people can't tell what textures I am, or am not, using via boss log :P Thanks for the links! I'm careful when I merge plugins, I was doing it manually and then double checking, but now I use matortheeternal's script. I still double check, of course. I know how to manually repair conflicts, if they pop up, too. -
