  1. Up at the top left of blender, there should be a little tab on Default. Click it, and bring it down to UV editing. Then hit 'U' in the right box and use smart unwrap. When you're done, use the Save Image option in the bottom left on the left window.
  2. Don't fear something that was pulled out of a tinfoil briefcase. People said the same thing before Bethesda tried to monetize modding. Do you really think that idea was shelved forever? I'm sure they will, at some point in the future, attempt that again. However, you're making these assumptions based on things that don't involve them at all. Occam's Razor. The option with the fewest variables is correct. And conspiracies don't fit well in that model.
  3. Wow, are people seriously still jumping on the game in the Nexus forums something like seven months after release complaining about it? It's fine if you disagree with the choices made by Bethesda; I get that. But guys like Someguy2000, who actively is modding the game as well as disagreeing with the game's choices in story, don't go around bantering about how s#*! it is and how Beth screwed the pooch or whatever.
  4. Hey! Do you have any references for your work? Are you a moderator now? Congratulations on the promotion. He's right. Even if it wasn't phrased in a very good way. Being equally rude doesn't solve anything.
  5. Seconded. I'm really not sure what all this whining is about, since Bethesda pretty consistently produces at least enjoyable content, and supports their stuff way better than most other companies. And that's now me "Blindly Defending Bethesda" either. Not a whole lot of other companies would not only consistently update their games with new under-the-hood features (Such as the new Nvidia damage particle generation), let alone new content like what we're seeing with the Survival updates. On top of that, after years of using unofficial means, we can now choose between the in-game mod loader, NMM, or both. And not only that! But now, this in-game mod loader means that people whoa re not privileged with a PC capable of running Fallout 4 can experience mods. As a free update as well, with no paywall in sight, or any evidence to support the paid mod conspiracy going around.
  6. Here's a bit of dialogue our writers, specifically our Rose Writer Blue, [Dave introducing the PC] Rose: Ah, I see. While help from a local in this eminent ecosystem is somewhat questionable, my pseudo-sibling is a dubious enough judge of character. As long as you do not flip the proverbial handle and attempt to murder us in our sleep, this should go along without hindrance. [A1: What do you need?] Rose: Essentially what we need your help with, my advantageous vagabond, is finding our comrades who, as a testament to their logical faculties, have wandered through this verdant hellscape for one reason or another. First, we need to find and retrieve Karkat. Don't worry, you'll hear him before you see him. Rose: The Super Mutants certainly did. [b1: Who are you?] I'm Rose Lalonde - Chosen of the Horrorterrors, Destroyer of Worlds, and lover of tentacles. A pleasure, I'm sure. In more serious terms, I'm the only thing apparently holding my group together. Alongside Dave, I suppose. [C1: What is this place?] Oh this little hole away from home? It served as some kind of cloning facility before we came to inhabit it. Now it serves as nothing but a dystopian lawn ornament until we can get it soaring through the void between worlds once more. [A2: What do you mean?] Rose: Allow me to explain; for some inexplicable and likely stupid reason our dearest Karkat has deigned to head into the interior of Boston and get into, rather predictably, trouble with the charming locale and had heroically retreated into a nearby ruin. Karkat's charms should be the greatest challenge we face.
  7. Just a couple more models i've been working on: I've also managed to recruit two writers who are pretty well versed in the Homestuck lore and it's characters for helping me in writing the dialogue. Still, and I can't stress this enough: I need help with textures. Any help is appreciated. I'm also still looking for anyone with skills they're willing to lend to the mod.
  8. So! It's been like three months since I last updates this. My fault, entirely. In the meantime, however, i've been working on new models, quests, and integration; with Fallout 4's GECK just around the corner, i'm finishing up some prep-work before I can really get going. Stay tuned for more.
  9. Now this is where I cause conflict, sure, the X-01 is good and all, but its simply not the same. You have to look closely to see differences, but it seems way too bulky, and some differences can be seen quite easily when compared side-by-side. Maybe it's because all Power Armor was made bulkier for 4 to accommodate the new mechanics? Regardless, you could probably just modify the existing mesh.
  10. Yeah, APA is basically already in the game as the X-01 armor.
  11. I'd like to point out here how rude you're being. It's clear to me that Bacon is not only offering his modeling services, but offering up legal information that would be of great use to you. And another thing, what terms are you referring to? That he wants to use his model if the Enclave Returns mod is never finished? For a free complete suit of power armor, that sounds completely fair, and not warranting of any kind of backlash. I will say, however, that Bacon's advice could have been worded better. Still not-deserving of this kind of reaction.
  12. Eh. I can see the benefit in doing something like that. But you're essentially just inviting skilled people to a chatroom where something may end up being done. The problem with working by committee is that there is no actual goal people can build on. No foundation. Which means that it may be hard to get one clear, concise idea.
  13. I'll have to agree with the others here that some sort of direction is ideal. Even a vague one. Otherwise, people don't know what exactly they're getting into, and is just generally bad form.
  14. The thing about paid mods is that mod creators voluntarily sign up for it, and it's not mandatory. So id say it has nothing to do with this in the recent patch.
  15. It's kind of a shame that they jumped to a different scripting system between Fallout: NV and Skyrim. If someone decides to try and get XRE Cars or some of the cool shiz from Frontier, they'll have to major redo the scripts.
  16. Please let's not have a repeat of Goodsprings.
  17. The good thing about Boston as opposed to the Mojave is a huge abundance of boarded up houses. So once the GECK comes up, we'll have a ton of available buildings to put our kids in.
  18. Can models be imported into the game? I thought the nifskope plugin hadn't been updated.
  19. Been doing some testing in Fallout New Vegas. While the limitations are going to be different between the two games, as it stands, a slightly smaller asteroid will need multiple cells and a LOD even at the base to see it all. The model is low poly while i'm using a normal map of a very high poly model. Not sure if it's applied here honestly. I'll give it a varied grey texture later and actually see if it's working.
  20. All requests should be made here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/3515-fallout-4-mod-requests/
  21. Why not just use stuff that's already there? There's a plethora of agree and deny dialogue for both characters, which would be more than suitable for conversations. The Sole Survivors story is contained in the main quests. So unless a mod changes or adds significantly to that, I don't see a problem.
  22. Just take the sound thats already there. Hell, I'm sure it won't take too long for someone to make a phonetic library for both male and female characters.
