  1. You did see this line: Warning: UFO - Heartfire AddOn.esp required to work properly with Hearthfires (Official Bethesda DLC)I don't see that you have the UFO - Hearthfire addon listed. Perhaps that's an issue?
  2. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Seeking_Disclosure#Quest_Stages This is the list of quest stages. You may want to try setstage 40, if that works.
  3. Try validating your game through Steam, and reacquire the missing files. That should get it to start.
  4. Yes, many of the vanilla enchantments cap out, even with an abormally high skill level. I've seen the same thing when I mod my enchanting skill to 5000 (player.modav enchanting 4900), and some enchantments stay at 25%. I'd look for something that overhauls, makes the enchantments more scalable, although I don't have any clue as to what mod you could use. I DID see that Wintermyst enchantments scale ridiculously high though. (9,850 gold every time you perform a killmove, and I had that on 4 pieces of armor. A little excessive, maybe...)
  5. Strange, as I run Frostvale Estate, along with his other house mods, and all I experience is lag for about 5-15 seconds when I enter the house, then everything goes back to normal. I have armor on every mannequin, and almost every weapon rack filled. Maybe you're putting too much stress on your game? <snip> (Missed the part of your comp specs, disregard this section) Your system seems fairly well setup, although, I have noticed the houses tend to get glitchy if I put a bunch of items that are enchanted on the mannequins. Are many of the items enchanted?
  6. Did you remember to run GenerateFNISForUsers.exe, checking the appropriate patches? If not, that's the step you missed. If so, I recommend uninstalling that mod, then reinstalling FNIS, and then your FNIS mods, then run GenerateFNISForUsers.exe.
  7. What mods are you running? Many things can cause the brawl bug issues, and a mod list would be helpful in trying to track down where your issues are coming from. For instance: I downloaded the Shout of Sheogorath mod, and I was using the Vamspider Cloak spell. Even when it timed out, it would cause brawls to turn fatal. I had to download a version of the mod that had that issue fixed.
  8. Well, to start trying to figure out what's wrong, we need a bit more information. 1) Is it a vanilla Skyrim install, or are you using mods? 2) If you're using mods, do you have a mod list? 3) Have you sorted your mod list with LOOT? 4) If you have a mod that changes the leveled lists for books (like Lost Library), did you make a bashed patch/re-build your bashed patch? If you can provide this information, we can take more steps towards helping you solve this problem.
  9. A list of mods may be useful, as it sounds like some other mod is causing the vanilla CW quests to stop firing at some point. In addition, perhaps a Papyrus log and/or Story Manager log would be helpful in troubleshooting this issue.
  10. This isn't that strange, apparently when you're running there, you cross the boundaries of like 8-9 cells. Are you running a lot of HD texture mods? If so, try disabling them and seeing if it crashes still. If so, I'll take another look at it.
  11. Strange, because i use quite a few mods that add new enchantments, as well as use a cloak for some things, and I've never had any issues with Brawls.
  12. You seem to have 2 brawl bug plugins, which would cause it to bork. Brawl Bugs CE.esp=1brawlbug-plugin.esp=1 I use Brwl Bugs CE, and that's the only one I need, try getting rid of the other one, no other mod requires a patch for it.
  13. If you don't like SkyUI because of its menu setup, try SkyUI-Away which restores the original menus while keeping SkyUI functionality for those mods that require it. If you don't want to use any form of SkyUI at all, remove any mods that require it (mainly mods that have MCMs)
  14. Immediate CTD? You are missing a Master file. Use TES5Edit, or NMM (I use NMM) to check for Master files.
  15. I'll tackle this, or try to anyway. First off, when you move it to a different area (I'm curious to know who suggested that), I think you need to run the vanilla Skyrim launcher once to reset the proper locations. Also, that's typically installing to a different folder, as if you just drag a file after it's been installed, it can screw a lot of things up. I myself run it from the Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\ folder and have not had any issues getting NMM, or mods I've downloaded to work properly. (I don't use MO) I also have UAC turned off, and run everything as Administrator. So, here is the process I'm going to lay out. You can do this with one mod at a time (i recommend starting with one mod at a time, until you get used to the process, then you can do it for multiple mods.) 0) I hate to ask, but it's the most vital part: IS YOUR SKYRIM LEGAL (STEAM-CONNECTED)? IF NOT, THEN YOU SHOULD STOP HERE, AS THE NEXUS DOES NOT SUPPORT PIRATE INSTALLATIONS! 1) Delete that installation of Skyrim, and reinstall through Steam, install to the directory you want to (instead of Program Files if you choose). 2) Run the Vanilla Skyrim Launcher once, and start the game so it registers its locations, as well as any DLC you've purchased, then start a brand new save, and make your way through the tutorial, since it is highly scripted and it can break things on down the line. Once you've had the dragon fly over, when you've escaped from Helgen, and Hadvar/Ralof has you accompany them to Riverwood, then you're at a place where you can safely install mods without it screwing with the tutorial. (THIS IS YOUR CLEAN SAVE FOR MOD INSTALLATION!!!! DO NOT OVERWRITE IT IF YOU EVER WANT TO REMOVE MODS AND START OVER!) 2a) Install SKSE to the Skyrim directory (where you've installed skyrim, if it's not in its default location!) 3) Close Skyrim, and then start up Nexus Mod Manager. 4) If it doesn't detect Skyrim, choose to "re-scan" (the dropdown menu with the blue circle arrow) for your games, and if it doesn't find it, point it to the correct folder. 5) If you've already downloaded your mods, Click on the puzzle piece on the left-hand side of NMM, and navigate to where the mod file is downloaded. Open it from there, and NMM will import it in. 6) Double-click the mod with an "X" and have it install (if you need to, look at the mod's instructions for help in installation.) - Once the mod is active, there will be a green checkmark. 7) Close NMM, and open up LOOT. On LOOT, go to Edit > Settings..., and make sure that LOOT sees the directory you've installed Skyrim to. If it does, you can cancel out. If not, click "Edit Game" and type in the full path to where your Skyrim installation is. (For mine as an example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\). Then click Ok, and click Ok again. Now you're back to the LOOT main screen. 9) Click "Sort Plugins", and after it works ,it will pull up a window that asks you if the load order is correct. Go ahead and click Apply. Then it will display a report, showing how many active plugins you have, how many total plugins (I have 214 active, 216 total), and how many warnings. If you are going off a new install, you will probably have quite a few warnings. 10) Click on "Details", and make a note of what errors are found in the files. You can clean your Master files (not Skyrim.esm!) by using TES5Edit. This file should be installed into your Skyrim directory, but it doesn't have to be. (Mine isn't). You can clean dirty files by following this tutorial: http://www.creationkit.com/TES5Edit_Mod_Cleaning_Tutorial 11) You only need Wrye Bash if you have multiple plugins that edit the same leveled lists (if a mod requires it, it will usually say it needs to have a bashed patch made). If so, there are better tutorials than I can provide about making a bashed patch. 12) Once that's done, load NMM once more, and in the drop down, choose "Launch Skyrim" (if you do not use SKSE), or "Launch SKSE" (if you DO use SKSE). 13) After the Bethesda logo, if your Skyrim immediately CTD's (Call to Desktop/Crash to Desktop), you are missing a Master file. Open NMM, click the plugins tab, and click on the mod at the bottom of your load order, and see what Masters it requires. Then, see if you have those files listed. If not, then you'll need to download them (I recommend looking on the mod page itself, as it typically will tell you what files it requires, or when it prompts you that another file is needed for the mod to run properly), and install them. 14) If you've followed all these steps, congratulations, your Skyrim SHOULD be running now. I hope this series of steps helps you out.
  16. I think Mod Organizer can help you with that, but you're better off asking somebody with more experience in that field.
  17. You have to install it somewhere other than the Program Files directory. OR, turn UAC off.
  18. When you reloaded NMM, you may have plugins in the data folder, but as far as NMM is concerned, they weren't added by NMM, so naturally it'll show as not showing up. I'd make sure I have all the original download files (The .7z or zip files), remove the mods from the Data folder, and add Mod From File in NMM, and it will reload it, showing up in NMM once again. Then just activate each one.
  19. You're quite welcome. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Steam, but it has saved me by having my files always available for me to reinstall, especially after an unfortunate hard drive crash. And honestly, given some of the DRM I've seen on games, having a Steam requirement for them is the least of my concerns, considering they could be using a rootkit, or something like Starforce copy protection. As for mod installations, I don't use MO, and I just recently started using Wrye Bash, but I hope you get it all worked out.
  20. I have to ask for a source on this, because this advice is thrown around a lot with very little actual proof behind it. Anecdotal evidence is all well and good, but I can counter it all with my own experiences in 3200+ hours of Skyrim and never once having a problem with autosaves. It was also once believed that saving over an existing save could cause issues as well, which has since been debunked. I've got to agree with you. I have an occasional autosave, and I've never corrupted my game from it. I've spent probably just as much time in game, and I've never had an issue with an autosave, except where it saved right before I got blown away by 3 sneaky dragon attacks.
  21. This is a simple problem to identify, but not an easy one to fix. YOU ARE MISSING A MASTER FILE. You can use TES5Edit, or Wrye Bash to find the culprit, but the method I generally use is using NMM, and that's the method I'll be walking you through. Also typically I find the culprit is usually one of the last mods I've downloaded. Open Nexus Mod Manager, and click on the Plugins tab. Example picture: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10204754264714066&set=a.1168991302544.2026132.1160808585&type=1 Start at the bottom, and click on each mod. In the pane to the right, it will display "Masters" and show what files that mod requires. Then, look through your mod list, and see if you can find the mods listed. If you do, then go to the next one. Eventually, you will find a mod that is missing a Master file. I recommend looking at the mod page, and seeing what mods are required. Once the requirements are found and installed, you will be ready to go. Apparently Wrye Bash will let you know what mods are missing Masters, but as I don't have enough experience with it, give this a try, and you may be able to fix it.
  22. The big question to ask then: "What changed from yesterday?" Did your system update a driver somewhere? Did you download a new update?
  23. Are you using a mod that handles player death (ala Death Alternative - YMOYL)? What mods are you running? These things will help us try to pinpoint the issue your having if it's not setting yourself essential.
  24. We'd love to help you, but we're missing some things before we can. 1) What mods are you running? Are you running any that modify the time scale, or the weather/environment? 2) Are you using an ENB of any sort? 3) Does this issue persist on a new game file? These are the types of things we need to know since there could be a thousand different reasons why your sky is stuck at nighttime.
  25. When you say "when you launch Skyrim", do you at least get the Bethesda logo before it crashes?
