  1. NMM starts just fine, just start it in offline mode. Unless you're planning to download mods, you don't really need to launch through NMM. I never do unless I'm adding a mod. And secondly, I am a premium member, and while yes, it's annoying, from all the files the site servers to all the users everywhere, I view my lifetime sub as money well spent towards my usage of it in the past, and now.
  2. Your problem appears to be that's not a legitimate Skyrim installation, as those files are not located there. NMM doesn't put them there either.
  3. As a werewolf, you have increased health. If your health is reduced to where it would be 0 or less after transforming back, then yes, you would die. try the console command "tim", which is Toggle Immortal Mode. You won't die as a result of being reduced to 0 health. You could also use the console command player.restoreactorvalue health 1000, and your health will recover to what its maximum is (Unless it's over 1000). Let me know if either of these work.
  4. I installed a mod that added a new dragon type (storm dragon) to my game, and one just decided to attack Helgen, before we'd even made it there, so it borked the game. I had to disable it until after I had completed Helgen. The reason was the cart kept getting knocked over, which threw everybody (even killed me on a throw once.) Other than that, I use RRAF - Realistic, and I have not had any issues with this, but I will keep trying, and see if I can't duplicate it somehow.
  5. A couple of questions: On a vanilla install of Skyrim does it do this (have this problem)? If not, what mods did you download recently (they don't have to be active, especially if any modified the skeleton.hkx or other files) Try downloading and install FNIS for Users, and run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe, and see if that doesn't fix it. If not, delete it, reinstall fresh, and start over, or try Verifying Game Cache just in case your Skyrim has lost something somewhere.
  6. Check to see if you still have Mercer's plans in your inventory. If so, try putting them into a container or chest, or drop them somewhere, and retrieve them when you're ready to finish and start with The Pursuit. You may want to check Here (for Hard Answers) and here (for The Pursuit) for bugs that may be affecting the start of these quests.
  7. On your Active Effects menu, when you highlight the status, where does it say it's coming from? What's applying it?
  8. From what I recall, unless you are using a potion/equipment or console commands to raise your Smithing skill over 100, some weapons and armors can only be modded up to Epic, and require a level of over 100 to improve to Legendary.
  9. One thing I am pretty sure of, is DCO and CWO (by Apollodown if you run them), MUST BE loaded after Dance of Death. If not, he says it will cause CTD's on startup. Give that a try. The only reason I remember this, is he said something on his mod page about it happened because Bethesda doesn't like it when he kicks their butts at AI...
  10. I have experience with .NET programming. This interests me, and I would be pleased to offer my skills and knowledge to this if you are looking for coders. My skillset: Visual Basic.NET, Visual C++.NET, C# (Limited, but expanding). I have access to SharpDevelop, as well as Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2010 and 2012.
  11. how do you verify it? Do you have a Steam copy? If so, log into Steam, go to Library, find Skyrim, right-click, go to Properties, click on the tab that says "Local Files", and select "Verify Integrity of Game Cache."
  12. Does your game use Steam? If so, reverify the game through Steam. If it doesn't, then you have a pirate copy, and we can't help you. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/293557-piracy-and-you/
  13. I've taken a look at your BOSS log. One thing I am curious about is: SoS - Civilization-PatchCoTWinterEdition.esp Active Checksum: 8F1B37C9 * Note: Use only one Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and CoT patch. SoS - Civilization-PatchCoT.esp Active Checksum: A82D649E * Note: Use only one Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and CoT patch. SoS - Civilization -PatchCoTSounds.esp Active Checksum: E023E60D * Note: Use only one Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and CoT patch. SoS - Civilization -PatchCoTSoundsWinterEdition.esp Active Checksum: BD1C7A3B * Note: Use only one Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and CoT patch. You have 4 Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and CoT patches active. It suggests you only use one. You could start there. Also, what was the last mod you installed, when everything was working (presumably) before?
  14. If you think it's a problem with Load Order, try BOSS @ http://code.google.com/p/better-oblivion-sorting-software/downloads/list That is a starting point on mod order. You can also consider double checking the mods you've installed, making sure that you paid attention to any incompatibilities that might have been mentioned.
  15. So one file failed to validate then? Try using the vanilla launcher after that message, see if it gets the file that's missing. Other than that, if it doesn't work, you can always backup your saves (if you have any), and perform the time-honored and most dreaded Skyreinstall. (Skyrim Reinstall).
  16. Try looking at the armor you're using. Maybe the armor you're wearing has overpowered enchantments on it, or an extremely high armor rating, that is preventing the damage. Also, it's kinda obvious, but are you sure you don't have tgm toggled on?
  17. To verify over Steam: Go into steam and right click Skyrim - Click properties then click Local Files- Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" And I don't see Update.esm, so that file may be missing. On my vanilla Skyrim install, after I installed the DLCs, I had Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm, and Dragonborn.esm. You may want to try adjusting your load Order (which you can do in the Steam Skyrim Launcher, just choose "Data Files", and use the Up and Down arrows to adjust.)
  18. One thing I can suggest, because I get that myself from time to time, I'll load an older save, and wait a few minutes, then load the save I want to play, and it normally lets me pick right back up without further crashes. I just chalked it up to Skyrim being fussy at times.
  19. Have you tried verifying the files through Steam? That can sometimes fix that issue. And you say you're using no mods outside of the official DLCs? What is your mod order?
  20. That is a bug, because you don't absorb a dragon soul from Alduin. The point in absorbing dragon souls is preventing the resurrection of the dragon, but Alduin's soul cannot be harvested in that manner, so maybe a mod you're running substituted another dragon for Alduin? In any case, that is pretty cool. "Oh my god, you killed Alduin!" "You bastards!"
  21. Have you tried this? Does it cause any problems if you later go and do the activation quest? Has anyone tried just using the ~ setstage command to run thru the quest line? I have tried it. It seemed a bit glitchy, but before you go to do the activation quest, use the console and type set DragonsReturned to 0, that should clear it so the game can properly set it. You can also give yourself dragon souls by typing player.modav dragonsouls #, and it'll set your absorbed dragon souls to that number.
  22. No. From what I remember, the dragons are scripted to not even show up (outside of Alduin during the tutorial) until after that part. I'm running around doing quests before even doing it, as I've had to restart some of them when somebody important dies during a dragon attack. (They start showing up after you've been summoned to high hrothgar, IIRC.)
