  1. Haha, well, most of this is copy pasting as well. :P Just need to make sure the refs and variables are swapped correctly. I am using lots of variables, though, more than necessary really. Mostly because it's easier to type Set D1 to ROOQuagmireRuins01Door1 and then use "D1" instead than doing this ROOQuagmireRuins01Door1.Activate all the time. :P I'm also too lazy to copy paste the refs all the time. [EDIT]Wow. You actually placed 200 references and scripted them to be moved to the player if he activates a book there? When I touched a book in game I really thought it was a PlaceAtMe call. :P
  2. I did the first part of the scripting for the prototype (which will consist of only the part with the stairs, because adding anything to this system takes ages). 264 lines so far, most of it is variable declaring, the rest is the part that handles the opening and closing of doors.
  3. There is no need to mess with the player speed stats. Using OBSE functions, you can disable the run keys (deactivate first if in run mode, of course) so the player can't run. A simple feather spell can "trick" the game's hardcoded over-encumbrance handling.
  4. Looks great! I'm done linking the objects to parent refs (for now, at least). I'd started on the scripting already, but the CS crashed on me before I could save.
  5. Thanks for the kudos. :P I've uploaded an altered version of the textures on the file page. (Don't worry, the difference can't be seen if you're human. :P) Simply overwrite the old textures. If that doesn't do it, I don't know what else will.
  6. If you know how many posts there are in total and how many posts there are in this thread, it's easy. :P
  7. Ha ha, this thread currently represents 12.01% of all posts in the File Requests forum. :P [EDIT]And 0.39% of total posts. Yay for statistics.
  8. Tremble, for I bring the most fearsome smiley of all. Slayer of Men, Destroyer of Worlds: PURPLEFISH! http://scrollstudio.com/forum/images/smilies/madnoes.gif Heh heh. :P
  9. Ha ha, it's not as bad as pathing though.
  10. That's what I was afraid of too... It does sound like a hardware issue.
  11. I've finally found some time to work on it again. Right now I'm placing lots of trigzones to keep track of the player's movement, then I can write the scripts to control the "shifting". Once that prototype's done, we'll know whether this is actually feasible or not. :P [EDIT]Oh yeah, I forgot. First comes the fun job of linking every single one of the 200 pieces I've got so far (that's without containers, lights and other stuff!) to a parent ref.
  12. Really, I'm puzzled. I'm not an expert on texturing, but haven't heard of anything like this before. I don't have the slightest clue as to what may be going wrong... Can you perhaps upload the texture files somewhere or send them to me in some other way? That way I can download it and see if something's gone wrong during the upload/download or if it's my bad.
  13. That's odd. The yellow markings are part of the texture, so they can't be missing. It's fine at my end. Perhaps the upload got corrupted... I'll have a look at it. [EDIT]Nope, they're fine. And I didn't even touch the yellow parts... I'll have a look at them in game. [EDIT]I can't replicate the problem. Have you re-downloaded and tried again? Perhaps some parts got corrupted during the download. Can't really think of anything else.
  14. Unless your computer is a monster, get QTP Redimized. QTP3 original can bring your system down to its knees. ;)
  15. An egg? You throw away the shell, cook the egg, eat the white part and throw away the yellow inside because you don't like it? Then again, I usually eat the entire thing.
  16. AmpolX will try to finish the landscape, but if he doesn't respond in two months we'll do it ourselves. I posted some things that have to be done a few pages back. Let me have a look... [EDIT] - Cave for EG03 - Cave for EG05 - Cave for EG04 - Farmhouse for EG07 Those jobs are still open, I think. It may be best to ask Pronam first though, he knows best what still needs doing. Also, there may be some more info on these jobs our subforums at Scrollworks.
  17. How about this? [EDIT]Download here.
  18. Heh heh. Thanks for reminding me. :P I'll see if I can get it to work right away.
  19. That's all they say about requirements. Worth a try, I'd say.
  20. Working on the ruin's layout a bit first... It's supposed to be large and confusing. I'm currently going crazy with stairs. It's gonna be so confusing when parts of cease to exist and pop back into reality at random. It's also gonna be confusing when I try to script this... [EDIT]I think I got carried away a bit with the stairs... Yes, nearly all of that is stairs, stairs and more stairs and all of them are connected, though you won't know where it's gonna lead you.
  21. Easy! Just toss an invisibility spell at him.
