i hope Half Life 3 never comes out. let me first say, that while i have the Orange Box, i have yet to get around to playing anymore then the first 30 minutes of Half Life 2.
but heres the thing. HL3 has been soooo hyped up for sooo long now that it will never live up to expectations. it might not be as big of a flop as Duke Nukeum was, but im not looking forward to an internet filled with whiney fanboys complaining that their game was ruined. im much more comfortable with the endless "Valve cant count to 3" jokes and the endless wonder that every single Valve Announcement will be about HL3.
But the ending to HL2: EP2 was a massive cliffhanger. :ermm:
Massive doesn't even begin to describe it. I thoroughly enjoyed the saga since HL1.

Tell us your budget limit and I'm sure people will come up with a list of hardware you can buy. Lots of shops assemble custom computers, so you don't even have to worry about doing it yourself. They'll do that for a price, obviously.

I've tried merging the Beast(Khajiit) body mesh with the mechanical arm from the Berserk Black Swordsman armor, but to no avail. If anyone could help me, or do it for me, it'd be greatly appreciated :)

At last, a sequel with a 3 on it. I'd love to know what's going on through Gabe Newell's mind to shove a L4D3 in our faces and not HL3. Maybe zombies ate his brain.

Why ban games that have R18+ then, is what I meant. It would make sense if you wanted the game to be available to younger users, but banning games that are rated for adults? I've always had a hard time figuring out the reasons for such.

Same as the title says really, the OFLC may have an R rating now, but it's just banned a slew of triple-A titles in Australia, perhaps the biggest being Saint's Row 4. Not only is this a disapointing decision-it's also meant that a lot of Australian customers now can't play a game they've pre-ordered.

But then again, Australia has a terribad Rating system. Anything and everything gets banned. (Just dramatizing, but it's true to a certain extent). Who "censors" the game for a new release in areas like that anyways? The developers?

I've been using Dovahkiin and The Apprentice of Thuum for a while now, but I noticed some VoiceTypes don't support shouts. I have the sounds ready, but I don't know what or where to add them to using the CK. Any ideas? :)

I've seen a lot of people that have a misconception of these two terms. Just for kicks, I'd love to hear your opinions on the matter. Why do you want to become a game developer/designer? What does a Developer do? What does a Designer do?
Do note, I know what they mean, but I just want to see the what community thinks they do.

I've been trying to install the latest Nvidia drivers without losing the ability to choose between which GPU an application is running on. Seems that if I force install the latest driver, Optimus goes poof and I only get to use the nasty Intel GPU. Is there any way to install 314.22, for example, without breaking it?

I decided to play Fallout 3 again, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out if certain compilations are compatible due to the lack of information.
I was wondering if the "FWE-MMM-EVE-PB" 1.2 was compatible with Paradox Ignition's EVE version, or do I have to use different versions?

uGrids is default, and I purposedly reduced every graphical setting I could to see if scripts were to blame. So maybe it really has to do with lightning.

The game is barely playable in certain places due to the sheer ammount of scripts running. I'm having a bit of a hard time deciding which mods to disable because I'm not entirely sure which ones are more straining on the engine. I'd love to hear a few opinions from the community :smile:

I hate to rain on your parade (and mine too, I would have loved a Forsworn or Thalmor invasion themed DLC), but Peter Hines confirmed there would be no more DLCs for Skyrim (see the tweet here: https://twitter.com/DCDeacon/status/323837011591036929).
I for one am happy that they will focus on the next game, and hopefully it means the next Fallout game (even though it concerns me that probably it will be based on an enhanced version of Skyrim's Creation Engine (considering the embedded Fallout console commands)).
Hah, missed that one! Well, we did have two large DLCs (same happened with Oblivion with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles) so I couldn't really ask for more. What I would like to have seen though, and is unfortunate that they most likely won't be implemented, were some of the features shown in the Skyrim Jam thingy.
As for the commands, I had my own ideas. Maybe they were just leftovers from the gamebryo engine. Or maybe they were there because they were already expecting to use the engine for the next Fallout game. We'll know soon enough.

What more information is there to be given? The saves won't load, or better saying, they start loading, but it stays in the loading screen forever. I even have to sign out of my Windows session so that it terminates all the processes, including the one I want, TESV.exe. That's because I play in fullscreen, whereas if I played in windowed, it could be easilly done. But that's not what matters.

It could be in fact Fallout 4. Just because you don't have interest in Fallout 4 it doesn't make it presumable that they're talking about TES6. Bethesda, after buying the rights for Fallout, stated that they bought it for a reason, and that they'd be wanting to develop quite a few games. Not that it makes it certain, but the voice actor for Three Dog did tease us with a tweet. If they say they're moving to their next adventure, it definitely isn't a new DLC. (The next DLC, if there is one, may be finished already, as most of the things they did for Dawnguard and Dragonborn were in fact implemented before Skyrim was released. Development for the main game didn't end on the release day :P )
If you consider ESO is going to be released soon, it would be nice to have some Fallout to play :smile:
and it seems Bethesda likes to rotate between their two titles (Fallout, Elder, Fallout, Elder etc. etc.).
At least it has been like that since Oblivion came out. :ohdear:

I always end up going back to play this gem every few months. Three or four years ago I heard about the Hotel Carone mod and absolutely loved the Hotel map. Back then, I managed to edit the map so that it could be played in MP, but now I'm having issues:

So, yeah... Seems the map is too big to even load in the editor. Does anyone have any idea how to load it properly? I'm using the Deus Ex Editing PACK btw. (Has UEd and UEd2) :(
