  1. Except that finding mods through the forums is an absolute pain in the ass even if you have the specific name of a mod.

That would probably be the only reason I'd support a Minecraft Nexus. The number of posts per second is amazingly high, so the moment you choose the second page, you might end up getting the mods that were in the first page.

  2. Maybe its because its the publisher's decision if a game should have SDK or not? Don't know, not sure.

If the developer doesn't have a SDK to be released, nothing the publisher can do :P

  3. Can they even legally smoke indoors, within the workspace area? Nasty...Thank goodness we have a law against that here. In any case, best wishes!
  4. "Whats your favorite genre, no subgenres. General area or nothing."

And Classic Rock isn't? Why not put rock then? :armscrossed:

In any case, Alternative Rock is what I enjoy the most.

  5. There aren't that many heavy-weight Digital distribution platforms that can compete head to head with Valve's Steam though. Origin, GOG, Impulse, Direct 2 Drive (Which has been around since before Steam, iirc). Though, to be honest, they do not impose any real "threat" to Valve as of now. As for the consoles, you have the Playstation Store, Xbox Live Market, Wii Shop and the NIntendo DSi Shop.

What you might see, is the developers themselves, or their publisher companies, releasing their games in their own platform (quite an ample meaning here. Doesn't need to be like Steam.) That should partly help with preventing Valve from having a monopoly over the digital retailer sales.

Then they have two options. Either they spend money to distribute themselves (yes, because infrastructures are not free), or they sell their games through an existing digital retailer, not having to worry about that. The foremost could have a better income in the long run, but is also more risky, as it can end up being a fiasco.

  6. companies cant sell games online (Steam) cheaper then they do physical copies. while it may in fact be cheaper for them, if they sold online copies cheaper, people wouldnt go to brick and morter stores and more, and it would hurt them a ton. and gaming companies cant do that or they wont be sold in retail at all any more, and that would hurt sales even more.

Some companies actually have more digital sales compared to physical copy ones. And to be honest, the less people you have to involve in distribution, the better :P But then, you'd have a monopoly. :armscrossed:

  7. For Pete's sake, people... Read the information! Bethesda isn't Zenimax. It's a subsidiary company. ZeniMax Online Studios is a different studio than Bethesda. Obviously dedicated to developing MMO games, as the name and the info on the page says. BGS is currently working on Skyrim, and the first DLC hasn't even been released, so they won't be making whatever MMO ZOS is developing. While subsidiaries of ZeniMax Media, they're two completely independent studios.

Just as Dark0ne said in his post, it wouldn't make any sense that Skyrim would be affected. From a business point of view.

  8. I had two of them removed, one at a time. Upper Jaw, with local anesthesia for both. It didn't hurt at all, but it felt really weird, with all the pressure the dentist was making :P
  9. Over the last few weeks, I've seen a fair share of Skyrim Youtube Reviewers that use SkyUI without SKSE, which makes it pop up that annoying warning. This is something that has been bothering me a bit, so I'd love to know the reasons behind this choice. This question is obviously directed to anyone who does the same.
  10. Quoting some post I saw around the interwebs.

Now, this is purely speculation, but they might even wait a while after the first release, just incase major bugs pop up, to try and keep the other releases smoothly, and to see if it ACTUALLY SELLS, or not. I don't know if this is true or not, and I doubt it, but it IS possible.

I'd also suspect, publishers would try and push local release dates a LOT, and not care about releases in other countries so much. (Since they're likely to make the most money in the US)

But then you start to think... The difference between the US and Europe is 3 days, for the release of Mass Effect 3. What purpose would those 3 days serve? Not that it really matters, because I don't really mind waiting those 3 days, but I have yet to find the reasons for these different release times :P

  11. Tried the developer preview version of Win8 back when it came out, and had a hard time navigating around. It's mostly orientated for touchscreen mechanics. Explorer windows have a whole lot more buttons that seemed useful. At least I wouldn't be right-clicking that often :P And that's about it... I'll probably be sticking with Win7 unless I can manage to work with Win8 with all those touchy gimmicks. And the possibility of it being avaliable through MSDNAA
  12. I quit Champions Online because the developers literaly abandoned it, leaving the game with literaly no moderators, no patches, and no rules of any sort, for several months, during which it became hell on earth for anyone unlucky enough to play it.

That happens a lot more often than you'd think. *cough* Mabinogi Europe *cough*

As for Sci-Fi MMOs. You could try out Anarchy Online or Face Of Mankind. It's important to mention that both are F2P with the possibility of Premium accounts.
