  1. Adding a bit more to the thread. You can "freeze" NPCs anywhere (even on air) if you click on them and type "tai" on the console. If your screenshots involve the player character. You can create an NPC clone of yourself by typing "player.placeatme 7 1" (Or is it 14? it has been so long since I've done this... if 7 doesn't work try "player.placeatme 14 1") I also suggest using sgtm 0.5 (Time will run at 50% the regular speed.... sgtm 0.1 will male time run at 10%... and so on. I don't suggest going on very low numbers, though) This slows down time entirely. It's usually very helpful if you want to take a screenshot on one VERY SPECIFIC point of a certain animation.
  2. I don't know if I'm the only person who would like that.... I hope not.... If the thread title isn't clear, I'll try my best to explain the kind of mod I would love. I use SkyUI and Categorized Favorites.... For example, I edited my Categorized Favorites to have one section just for "Pinup Poser" rings // Puppeteer Master items and other "just for screenshots" items. Even though this items are great for when I want to take screenshots, they become kind of annoying when I'm playing the game regularly. How nice would it be to have a mod that "knew" what Items you had favorited, and based on that it would hide those items from the regular inventory window (after all, if you need those items you'll just press "Q" anyway). The mod would need to "re-reveal" the items if they happen to be unfavorited at some point. This is probably a complex mod that requires experience with scripting...but it would certainly help people like me. Edit: --- Meh...I made a typo at this thread's title but I don't know how to change it. I mean to say "Hide favorited* items...."
  3. So, did anyone manage to pull this off? I like the armors from EW in general, but I liked the Psi armor from EU better. If it's possible to switch the mesh of only the psi armor, that would be great.
  4. Be careful though, this mod was last updated on 21 Mar 2013. Looking at the comments' section I found the following feedbacks.
  5. SkyUI: Mandatory interface for keyboard/mouse users. Categorized Favorites: It lets you customize your favorites menu. You can even create your own categories and set which items will go there. (I had a character with a category just for regular clothing, for example) iHUD: It makes your hud only appear when needed. Great for immersion. Better Message Box & Better Dialogue Storage Helpers: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17574/? <--- Special attention to this one because I feel like it's not getting the attention it deserves. I LOVE this mod. It pretty much allows you to turn bags into real bags... new inventories inside your inventory. It's great to sort your stuff out. Not to mention that it has a script that allows any item to work as a bag. So, for example, if you play with Bandoleer B&P, you can turn those bags from there into real new-inventories. FNIS: Screenshots :) Pose and say "cheese" Tools count as mod? *** Texture Optimizer : It gave me a massive fps boost, and I honestly didn't notice any loss of quality. But don't quote me on this hahah. *** ENB Profile Switcher : If you like taking screenshots, that's that one ENB ideal for snowy places, that other that is great for fiery interiors, and so on.... this tool lets you keep them all. *** Caliente's Bodyslide: Nowadays we have 20.000 body types. So in case that armor you loved didn't get a release for your body type, you can get your hands to work yourself and adapt it for your character.
  6. I did not say it would be simple. I just said I didn't think it was infeasible or "big loaded" since I was asking for the addition of filters to a script that already exist. But yes, at the same time I was being modest enough to admit that I didn't have base to defend my assumptions, since I don't have modding experience with Skyrim. And just to make things clear, are you saying that what made you consider it "big loaded" was the MCM interface part? I certainly wasn't expecting that. I mentioned it as a suggestion but it NEVER crossed my mind that this suggestion would made my request that much harder. Hell, that is completely optional. The entire point is to adapt the script. How the user interface will work is not critical. The core of the mod does not depend on it. I just mentioned MCM because that's by far the most popular way to create user interface nowadays.
  7. I haven't tested this mod, but from the description it says it has a slow-motion key. (Default = F3) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33521/? Maybe this can help you.
  8. I'm glad it helped. About the "automatically adding them back" part however.... I might have bad news. You see, the installation information is stored in this folder here: C:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Install Info If you had a backup of this folder elsewhere, you would be able to paste your backup there, and Nexus Mod Manager would "relearn" your install organization. But from what I understand, Your NMM is either ignoring the information contained in that folder, or it outright erased all the information from there. So I really don't know what you could do to speed up your installation chores. For future reference, I suggest keeping a backup of your skyrim (and NMM folders) elsewhere (Ideally on an external hard drive) . Just in case this sort of nasty thing happens. This article here should be of help: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Backing_up_your_mod_list_and_load_order
  9. I don't know how complex this could be, but is that really a big load? Just to be clear, I'm asking for a mod that would use script to insert all the items from a certain mod into a chest. This script already exists on the MFG mod, but it runs through all the mods the user has. I was asking people to adapt that script to make it run through only one specific mod the user selected instead of running through the entire load-order.
  10. You mean your NMM updated to v0.50.3 and suddenly forgot all your mods? Check on: C:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods (That's the standard folder) To see if your mods are there.
  11. Please, hear me out. The mod MFG Console mod adds into the game a new Console Command called "getmoditem mod", which inserts into any container all the items that were added to your game by mods. This is incredibly useful for people like me that enjoy taking screenshots. However, the problem is.... It has no customization, it will always throw ALL the items from All the mods. Which makes the container lag everytime I have to remove one item from there. Another mod I want to mention that I saw once (which I forgot the name) was a mod that would add a MCM tab that would show all the current active mods in your game. ---- I'm suggesting someone to create a mod that would be pretty much a combination of these two. A mod that would show the player a list of the active mods on a MCM tab... and once the player clicked on certain mod of that list... a chest with 5 copies of all the items that certain mod added to their game would spawn right next to them. That would make my life (and many others I'm sure) a lot easier. Please, someone experienced with scripting, please do this! PS: Also, I would like to thank Kapaer for his outstanding work with MFG Console. That mod is a "must have", and will always be on my load order!
  12. Thank you so much! This was water-clear. Thanks!
  13. And about the new question you are posting, about what to change... I honestly wouldn't change anything in it... it's good enough on the way it is right now. He can't really change anything. It's a laptop not desktop. He would have to buy used gpu from a broken laptop and gamble on compatibility. Usually it's easier and cheaper to sell old one in order buy new model. "Usually it's easier and cheaper to sell old one in order buy new model." I definitely agree with you. I would just like to add, however, that even though I'm not a fan of laptops, the last one I bought (about 5 years ago or so) had a list of compatible GPU / CPU at the "support page"... and an open slot for a new HD . I'm almost sure that GPU/CPU list was more like a "Ok, you didn't buy the highest setting laptop possible, but you may want to upgrade it a little towards our top-tier model by purchasing the following hardware". So , in a way, I wouldn't be able to upgrade my "2009" laptop into a "2014 version"....but rather only from "2009 midtier" to "2009 toptier". So, even though there is a margin for upgrade, I agree with you that it's a lot more narrow and expensive when compared to desktops.
  14. You named the title "Is this considered a good gaming PC?" Then asked in the opening post "This is not just for Skyrim, but any game, is this a good rig overall?" Yes, it is a good pc. And about the new question you are posting, about what to change... I honestly wouldn't change anything in it... it's good enough on the way it is right now.
  15. I just want to take screen shots. Is there any thing in this game that naturally floats? The only way I know to control the direction the player head is turned to, is by using Player Headtracking mods. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23600/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/39993/? However, I want to be able to place this "object" (I've been using a dead-nazeem, for example) mid-air without needing to use tcl. Anyone knows a good way to control the player headtrack? Or any object that naturally floats around and can trigger either head-tracking mod? thank you
  16. Hey there, I don't know you, you don't know me and your post wasn't directed to me. But I think I love you now! This program solved so many issues, it's unbelievable! Thank you!
  17. For example... By using TES5Edit, I know the Lesser Power from Puppeteer Master that selects which NPC you will act upon causes a magic effect called: EditorID: "JBPuppetTargetEffect" FormID: E00551C (In my load order) Name: "Select Puppeteer target" I want to be able to select targets while on "tfc". (in other words, I want to apply the spell effect without using the lesser power) How can I do this? Thank you in advance
  18. This could be seen as a good idea for offline gameplay (since I can't recall any NPC that doesn't wear chest-piece). However, in online gameplay, many people go shirtless... and by changing body texture this would make all other players have colored spots on their back. Which would make them look silly and break the immersion in the game.
  19. Hi there, gentlemen and ladies . I was wondering if there is some sort of mod (or tool / command) that allows me to spawn a certain number of NPCs with different appearances. For the sake of screenshots. For example, if I plan on putting some guards into my house... (5 female and 5 male)? Or if I plan to put some citizens around certain market place... or various farmers working on the fields... Is there a easy way for me to quickly come with various faces/weight/color of skin of people of certain gender? Names/stats are irrelevant.... Did someone create such a mod already? I've searched for it but didn't find. If such mod doesn't exist, does anyone have a solution for my case? So far, the best I can do is get console codes for NPCs that exist in the game and dress them accordingly to what profession I want them to be.... I would really appreciate any kind of help. Thank you
  20. I thought this topic would be about someone who got banned (for some reason they found unjustified), created a fake account and came back to rant hahah
  21. oh," I know that feel " hahah well, I'm cheering for you and if someone comes up with this mod... I will probably download it too. Magic in skyrim seems to be underpowered when I cast, but overpowered when enemies cast.
  22. The best help I could offer was that. At the same time, do the following tweaks: * Through SkyTweak ---- Decrease Damage Taken From Enemies ********* Current Status ( All enemy monsters/animals deal less than originally , All enemy weapons deal less than originally , All enemy magic deal less than originally) --- Increase Weapon Damage ********* Current Status ( Monsters/Animais deal less than originally , Enemy weapons deal original damage// Your weapons deal more than originally , All enemy Magic deal less than originally) *Through Dynamic Difficulty --- Increase damage of weaponless creatures and monsters. ********* Current Status ( Monsters/Animais in general deal original damage , Enemy weapons deal normal damage// Your weapons deal more than originally , All enemy Magic deal less than originally ) So the bad thing is that your weapons would be more powerful than they are right now... I hope someone will come with a better solution, though... I understand what you meant and I realize my suggestion isn't too helpful. It may be something to consider in case no other better solution pops up.
  23. Good point, there's that too... This could be tweaked through Dynamic Difficulty ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30505/? ) With it you can buff the damage from certain types of creatures... But then, now we're talking about tweaking a tweak. hahah Do we have to go deeper? PS: I've also never used BOTH of these mods at the same time... so I can't tell you if they conflict or not. I've only used them at separate times.
  24. You want to reduce the enemies spell damage but not yours? If this is the case.. you could reduce "Damage Taken from enemies" and increase "weapon damage"... this would relatively reduce the spell damage from the enemies alone, while keeping their weapon damage still high (if you calibrate it right) If I understood your request wrongly, keep in mind that you can achieve what you want by playing with these variables: "Damage Taken" "Damage Dealt" "*School of magic* Magnitude" "Weapon Damage"
