Okay, here\'s the deal. I\'m a modeler, I can model inorganic stuff fairly well, but my specialty is weapons. Some have evn praised my stuff as industry-standard, I\'ll post screens in a sec. But while I can texture and UV map, I can\'t do it very well. Nor can I get stuff working ingame. So I was thinking, I\'d like to have a team of three people including myself to make weapon mods for the game. I would make a model, whose design would depend upon what the three of us would like to see. So what I\'m after, is a talented texturer, and an, um, get-in-to-game-erer. If we were to work in a team we would be able to get some pretty sweet stuff out to the community. My stuff, made in Blender. I use 3DS MAX these days though. http://i44.tinypic.com/5arxw3.jpg http://img26.picoodle.com/img/img26/3/12/29/f_M249SAWbyTom_9022d71.png

I'm making a player home, but I'm having a problem with raiders constantly getting inside. Seeing as the only way I know how to sell it to the player is to give them a key from a merchant, I was thinking of some sort of script to constantly lock the door every ten seconds. That also means that if the player was to sell the building they'd just have to sell the ky and they'd no longer have access to it. Would someone be able to write such a script for me or suggest an alternative? Cheers, Toasty

Brotherhood Air Base Mod
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to 1LTWinters's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Actually, I'm making a mod similar to this right now. It's not BoS, it's made specifically for Enclave commander. I'm calling it Dragon Rock and it is a bloody great rock, to put it plainly. It's a big rock with a hole in the centre and a landing pad at the top. I'll grab a screen in a sec. http://img37.yfrog.com/img37/4666/fallout3200906262029059.jpg Here's the main building. As you can see I have my Vertibird sitting pretty at the top. Not quite the landing strip you were after, but it's nice and enclosed, the better that those bloody raiders won't want to go and look at what's up there. http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/773/entryway.jpg The entrance. A nice little hole, very hard to spot, Raiders will never find it. Hopefully. I've actually walked into my home a couple times and found a trio of Raiders sitting waiting to kill me. Anyway, I'll review your request and add more crap to it. I haven't actually started on any interiors or anything, because I spent a day building the rock, and another day deleting parts of it so it didn't lag like all hell. Now that there is a small interest in thiss I'll get back to work on it. It may be done by the end of next week or the one after. I'm on holidays so I have loads of time :) -
Why hasn't someone used the same scripts as Akatosh mount to make an actual pilotable Vertibird? It seems an obvious thing to do, there are working motorcycles. I'm not saying 'MAKE MEH THIS MOD NAO', I'm just wondering why someone's not made it. It seems an obvious thing to do, after we've seen that it is clearly possible...

Okay, I just started my first FO3 mods today (No i'm not a noob to modding, I made mods for OB as well) ad I edited some terrain. I go to test and I see the Distant LOD ground sticking through my Enclave base entrance. Anyone know what to do? Like, how I edit the LOD?

Creepiest thing that happened to you?
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to IndorilTheGreat's topic in Fallout 3's Spoilers
Retarded little boys from Grayditch and darker-than-average vaults with lots of people that scream out GARY and crazed Deathclaws are bad enough, but old lady Dithers scares me. She's wierd. Anyway, when I'm looting dungeons or whatever, I usually have GNR on. So I was pissing myself big time when I went into a dungeon full of Deathclaw matriarchs and GNR was way out of range. Very atmospheric. -
Weapon animation sets
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to TotallyNotToastyFresh's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
That helps a lot, I didnt think of checking the animations in the GECK like that. Just one question, are the third person anims the same names as the FP animations? And also, can you elaborate on the string value thingy? -
I want a gyrocopter of some form. I'deven be willing to model one if someone could do the scripting.

Weapon animation sets
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to TotallyNotToastyFresh's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
Sure. I'l probably upload it. But, I'll need your help once more. I'd like to know the exact names of the idle, moving and fire animations of the 10mm pistol, including what they are and whether they are onehanded or twohanded. -
Weapon animation sets
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to TotallyNotToastyFresh's topic in Fallout 3's Discussion
Okay, it's hardcoded. But it has now occured to me that I could simply extract the KF files for the twohanded animations and change their names to the onehanded anim's usual names. -
You know how when you have a pistol equipped and you zoom in and it switches to two-handed animations? I'm trying to gte them to be used always. Like, when you're not zoomed in it's twohanded. I noticed in the weapon properties that there is an anim set thingy, where you can define what anim set it uses. Where can I access these anim sets? I've looked all over the GECK, but I still can't find it. Can someone help? EDIT: I'm talking first person anims, by the way.

Pistol animation replacers?
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to TotallyNotToastyFresh's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
I meant first person, but that still looks awesome. I do a little animating myself, I could probably do it myself, but I can't find the files. -
Are there any mods that rplace the vanilla pistol animations? Like, to make them two-handed? I'm gonna do an extensive search right now, but does anyone know if there are any?

Weapon Mods to Download?
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to cookies2461's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
One neglected wepon mod exists that adds a single sword which is simply beautiful. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/14351-2-1200362620.jpg -
Recruiting Modders and Mod Teams
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to Vagrant0's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Oh, man, I completely forgot about this thing. You'll have to count me out Vagrant, I'm extremely busy at the moment, school's back in a week.... Sorry man. -
Recruiting Modders and Mod Teams
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to Vagrant0's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Message sent, Vagrant. :) EDIT: Just looking at the top post again, I know that I could certainly write the books and clutter up interiors. -
What do you mean? When you finish the DBHood quests, she is still an essential character....

Recruiting Modders and Mod Teams
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to Vagrant0's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
Well, the first list seems a bit beyond my skills, but the second ones I could do fairly well... That must be a problem, as I'm working on two... Also, I am proficient in using the CS, although I am no expert... If you want me to help, I could chip in a bit every week or so. It does kind of aggravate me a little to see that someone who has helped so many people doesn't even get looked at by others.... -
Keylek, you really can't overstate how good this armor is, can you? :P

Nice job, keep up the good work!

Recruiting Modders and Mod Teams
TotallyNotToastyFresh replied to Vagrant0's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
I can work on any non-organic meshes, I can't make armor very well though. But I still can. If you need a modeler, I can do it. But I'll need some help if I can't figure out how to do something or how to get it to work. -
There's a mod that was mentioned in some other mod, 'Ice Elves'. I searched and I can't find it. Any ideas? EDIT: Never mind, I found it.

Now that I think about it, I do see something very trivially wrong with it. Can I suggest that you make the blade longer, it seems a bit short at the moment. Unless of course, it's meant to be a shortsword, in which case I suggest you make the handle shorter.

Nice work, I can't see anything wrong with it at the moment. Nice work! :)
