Hey, it looks like: Executable: TESV.exe Master file(s): Skyrim.esm (Update.esm is also in this folder) Folder structure: It looks the same mostly. I'm using Steam so the main folder is in my steamapps folder. Within "skyrim" folder you have the executables and config files. Then in the "data" folder there are the master files and bsa files: Skyrim - Animations.bsa Skyrim - Interface.bsa Skyrim - Meshes.bsa Skyrim - Misc.bsa Skyrim - Shaders.bsa Skyrim - Sounds.bsa Skyrim - Textures.bsa Skyrim - Voices.bsa Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa It looks like they put everything and the kitchen sink in bsa format. No wonder the install size is so low.

Every two steps in game you have to eat a spoon full of salt in real life. You can only drink fluids when you find fluids in the game. If you pass out in real life from dehydration, you have to reload from an earlier save.

Also a fan of darker nights here. For a lot of us who live in cities we are so used to everything being lit up 24/7. Dark in the wilderness at night without a torch and a full moon is D.A.R.K. -discombobulated and royally knotted.

That would rock, or Knight Commander from DA2.

Sometimes. 64-bit applications can be written to be more efficient and run faster. But mostly 64-bit applications just have more access to memory, and aren't limited to ~3-4 gigabytes like 32 bit applications are. So apps that often use large files (like 3d modelling, Photoshop, some databases) can take advantage of being written in 64 bit and access 8-12 gigabytes of memory.

Whats wrong with wereboars? Didn't one kill King Robert Baratheon?? They r BEASTLY.

Yeah um have u seen the mods for Oblivion and Fallout? Some people can't wait to undress an NPC and look at some boobs lol.

Looks good man, the whole minimalist inventory thing they did this time is really immersion breaking. I don't even like the font... Whenever I see the current version in videos it makes me just want to see all the items stacked one above the other, with easily viewable stats, and a little icon that represents it. And maybe a 3d bigger version of it on the side for the "oooh pretty" quick glance.

LE Mods to bring back Oblivion and Morrowind!
Blocky replied to hellstorm102's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Whoever did the terrain models for the Hammerfell and Elsweyr mods for Oblivion deserve medals. Look them up on youtube. The terrain looks nearly photorealistic, better than the default Cyrodil terrain. That's what would be cool in Skyrim. But for people who played Daggerfall we all probably want High Rock modded in. How much of the original High Rock could even fit into this engine? -
Some of those requests... It's like someone making a request for a mod that covers all the women from head to toe in a black sheet and with a slit so only their eyes show, so they can see where they are going... It's just because you know women's bodies are offensive and tempting to men so they should cover up. O.o Is it wrong that I want to respond to that mod request with a "WTF"? Mod requests that try to make a game like Skyrim "PG" rated are like trying to plug holes in a sponge. The entire game is designed around an "MA" rating. Removing 3 or 4 things isn't going to make it "PG." And a mod to remove gay marriage? lol I think the only way to enable gay marriage is to marry a gay guy in your game... It's off by default really.

That's one of the reasons I went with nvidia for my last pc build. It sucks not having the option to force AO with ati cards.

Would be nice if it utilized hyper threading as well. 4 cores, 8 threads. i7 is a beast.

I vote for textures, new land areas, and new npcs. The fun of getting new weapons and armor in Morrowind was addicting. But I don't understand the fun of downloading new weapons and armor into your game. I look at weapons and armor as tools to help in combat to beat the game or your opponent. If you can just download in better weapons and armor then what's the point in playing the game? lol

Another vote for textures. We know Bethesda limited what they put in this game because they knew it had to run smoothly on the xbox360 and ps3. Is it wrong I want to see what the game would look like if it was made with mainly the PC in mind? Higher rez textures, more sun effects like "god rays", a little more hdr. Stuff like that.

^^ This... I'd rather just play the game to start with and run with it for a while before I start worrying about improving it. It's kinda like discussing what improvements you want to the house you are going to buy before you even do a walkthrough. Cart --- Horse... Mostly true, but I wish there was someone working on higher definition textures with better bump mapping and more for the pc version. Right out of the gate would be nice.

Who else is ambivalent towards the whole marriage thing?
Blocky replied to xaliqen's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
This game is an rpg, a roleplaying game. It makes sense that the player would have the option, choice, to marry their companion. Bethesda even said that Oblivion was a little generic and the NPCs were a little random. In Skyrim they wanted to make conversations and interactions with NPCs more involved and unique. More rpg-like. -
I'm more worried that when the game is installed on my pc and I load it up I'll be disappointed that the graphics don't look as good as I thought they would. No directx 11 has been confirmed. And some recent videos show brick walls, floors, buildings, flat surfaces, and corners that have no bump mapping or parallax mapping. They look completely and artificially flat. I hope they spruced it up for the pc version :( It's probably not that big of a deal, bt for a game coming out in 2011 I'm surprised. Even Left 4 Dead had bump mapped surfaces on the pc, and that was 2008. Even Oblivion had bump mapped and parallax mapped surfaces earlier in 2006.
