  1. The only problem is I can no longer use "Remove QuickSave Button" as they both use the same swf,, "quest_journal.swf". Still I can live without that QuickSave button I lot easier than without being able to change my difficulty settings.
  2. Thank you for your replies. That fixed my problem. Aaron, I just checked and it was in Settings>Gameplay, just under "Save on Character Menu." I could not disable the "Save on Character Menu" before installing the difficulty persistence mod and the "Use Kinect Commands" is gone. Weird huh?
  3. I just upgraded from GOG 1.6.659 to 1.6.1179.0 and started a new game and notices that some of my game settings were not saving even though when I quit the menu it said "saving." The setting I am mainly concerned with is "Difficulty", no matter where I put it when I close the Settings menu it reverts back to Novice.. Also I always stop all automatic saves at the beginning of my game and I can uncheck all of them but the bottom one which always goes back to 5. I checked my ini files thinking they might be read only but they were not. On a side note what does "Use Kinect Commands' do?

  5. I was just on the Skyrim SE forum and read a post that echoed my problem with FNV. The post said that no matter what he did Skyrim AE would not play properly on his rig; although his specs should be adequate for the job. This is a problem I have always had with FNV. I can play Skyrim AE on Ultra with no problem yet no matter what I do I have never been able to play FNV without at the least a mini stutter. I have played every Elder Scrolls game from Oblivion on up and every Fallout game from Fallout 3 on up and have never been able to get FNV to play smoothly. Over the years I have come to the conclusion that the FNV game gods just hate me.
  6. I do not know if this would be relevant but both Viva New Vegas and TTW's installation guides are predicated on MO2.
  7. You might want to put your mod list in a spoiler. When you post at the top of the post is a toolbar, the icon that looks kike an eye will say "spoiler" click on that and put your mod list in the space provided.
  8. Go to the links which JimboUK gave you and run the patches which are linked. This will downgrade your Fallout3.exe from 1.7.0.4 to 1.7.0.3. I did ask in my post if you had installed and run the Unofficial Fallout3 Patch which would fix your problem. Ninjad
  9. Might be helpful if you said what version of the game you are playing and where you purchased the game. Did you purchase the game from Steam and are you playing it on Steam? Did you purchase the game from GOG and are you plying it from your hard drive or on the internet? Did you install the updated unofficial Fallout3 patch and did you carefully follow the instructions for installing that patch? How did you download and install the game? Where is your game installed?
  10. Thank you for your reply, it worked. The mod was "2 perks per level" I believe it installs that perk because of the way it gets you 2 perks per level. I appreciate your replying.
  11. I noticed a perk at the start of my game after exiting from vault 101 that I had never noticed before in the perk menu. I am hoping someone can tell me what mod it comes from and what it means. I am pretty sure it does come from a mod, although I could be wrong. The perk is "SP killer" and it says "For the extra perks - gotta prevent extra SP!" I save just before exiting and start adding my mods 5 or 6 at a time and exiting to check I do not have any incompatibilities that would cause a crash.

  13. I have not used DynDOLOD or SSELODGen before with Skyrim SSE AE GOG 1.6.659 before,seeing no need for it. So I am completely unfamiliar with it. However I wanted to learn how to use SSELODGen so I could play TPOS with LOTD. When I ran SSELODGen I got this error message. "Too many plugins selected, 451 files would exceed the maximum index of 254." Only 114 of those 451 plugins are active, the rest are almost all patches for Legacy of the Dragonborn and the Curators Companion. How do I get SSELODGen to recognize the difference between an active plugin and a light plugin?
  14. I take the ID from SSEEdit. For instance for Thornblade I open SSEEdit, scroll to "More Interesting Loot Reborn" open that mod, open "Weapons" scroll down to "Thornblade" and use that ID to obtain the weapon with additem.. I have used this many times to obtain items and this is the first time I have had a problem. Actually I got a partial fix. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and all my mods launched the game and played. I could once again obtain the item with additem but I could not improve it, it did not show up when I used the smithing wheel. All this seemed to happen after GOG updated SSE AE. I do not know why, and I could be wrong, I certainly have been before. It will be interesting to see after GOG updates skse and I install and mod the new exe. New information-I just checked silverlock.org and skse has been updated for the updated GOG SSE AE. I am going to switch fairly soon, am a bit tired of uninstalling and reinstalling everything.
  15. You could go to the SSE mod page, click on "Mods" and then click on "download history". I have used this when I have been in the same situation you are in. It might take a while depending on how long ago you downloaded that mod but you will find it.
  16. Thank you for your reply. I always felt guilty using add.item to get some items that you would not usually obtain at the stage of the game I was at. It is nice to know that some other players also do so. I will check out the mod you referred to, it sounds like just what I need.
  17. I just re-downloaded SSE from GOG and it downloaded a new version; the old version which I was playing was 1.6.659 while the new version is 1.6.1179. When I run "check for updates" I might have installed an updated mod that was made for the new exe. I reinstalled version 1.6.659 as GOG has not updated skse for 1.6.1179 yet. I will just have to check all my mods to make sure they run with 1.6.659. I yearn for the good old days when Bethesda would create a game and you could depend on that game version for the next ten years or so. After all the Skyrim Legendary version has stayed the same for years. I hope Bethesda will release Skyrim so GOG can pick it up. I think it would be fun to play the old game again. After all I still play M&M 6 and 7 now and then.
  18. I just started a new game and ran across this a couple hours in. The background is that I shamelessly cheat in the beginning of a game. When I start out to Bleak Falls Barrow from Whiterun I add some items thru the console that will let me play at adept thru Bleak Falls Barrow. I cheat but try to compensate by adding mods that will make the game more difficult. I use additem and modav to add the items; well modav for weight. Everything was going fine, I added some items from Skyrim.esm and then tried to ad a couple more from More Interesting Loot Reborn; I get Thornblade and the updated Ruins Edge. When I used the console to get them I could not. I kept getting the "compiled script not saved" "not found for parameter object ID". I entered the IDs more than once and checked everything meticulously but it would not additem. So I tried with Wintermyst and additem worked with no problem, it was only More Interesting Loot that would not let me additem in the console. I also went to SSEEdit and opened More Interesting Loot to check and see if the items were there and that I had the correct IDs, and they were and I had. I have never run across this before. I have tried every thing I can think of. I uninstalled and reinstalled More Interesting Loot, I uninstalled every mod I have that would affect the console like More Informative Console, nothing works. I would appreciate any ideas as to how to fix this as I do not have a clue as to what went wrong.
  19. If you are playing Skyrim LE you are on the wrong forum. I would advise you to post on the LE forum. One of the great things about the Elder Scroll games I have always appreciated is that you can make the game as hard or as easy as you desire. With levels from Novice to Legendary, and mods that give you overpowered weapons and armor you can make your character as powerful as you like. While I have never played a mage character I am confident that you can build an over powered character with a little searching for mods.
  20. The problem is you must use Vortex to install collections, I believe. What mod manager a person uses is an individual choice. I think collections are a great idea, I just wish they did not restrict you to one certain mod manager.
  21. I believe playing in third person immersion breaking. After all I do not know of any character with eyes in the back of their head.
  22. I play the GOG version of SSE AE but I do not play it online with Galaxy, I download my games from GOG to my hard drive and install them from there. This means I will not get my game updated automatically I believe. My question is if this update will change the game play in any way or is it just another meaningless from Bethesda? Also will this require a new version of skse? And does it mean I will not be able to play updated mods that have a dll such as Address Library for SKSE Plugins?
  23. I play the GOG version of SSE AE so I really could not say whether SkyUI-5.2 works with v1.6.1130.0. Perhaps someone who plays that version will read this post and be more help in addressing your problem. I would go to the SkyUI page click on Posts and scroll down. There is a post on there that addresses the v.1.6.1130.0 problem, might be of help to you.
  24. As I recall NMM Community Edition will not work with the Epic install of SSE. Might have to try MO2 or Vortex. Although I do not know if the same holds true for them.
