  1. As I recall NMM Community Edition will not work with the Epic install of SSE. Might have to try MO2 or Vortex. Although I do not know if the same holds true for them.
  2. What version of SSE and what version of SkyUi. are you using?
  3. Do you have SCAR "Skyrim Combat AI Revolution" in your load order?
  4. You would be better off using a mod manager. Although I guess it would depend on what type and how many mods you are using. Installing texture mods might be a bit tricky. Any way good luck and enjoy your game.
  5. They will go in "Whatever version of SSE you are playing/Data/SKSE/Plugins" Having said that I would have to ask why whatever mod manager you are using did not install them there? If you are not using a mod manager I would strongly advise you to do so. Although I do not use MO2 I have heard that it has a problem with dll files and you should install mods with dll files manually.
  6. That link goes to a post by a member who had a problem with LOOT with the GOG version of SSE AE. The OP solved their problem by resetting the install path for LOOT. Whether this will solve your problem I do not know but feel it is worth a shot.
  7. When I launch FNV with nvse as soon as I exit Doc Mitchells house I crash. The error message is "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Runtime Error. Program:E\Fallout New Vegas\FalloutNV.exe, R6025, pure virtual function call. When I launch the game without nvse it runs fine except the files that are dependent on nvse do not load. I tried the two latest versions of nvse, 6.3.3 and 6.3.4 with the same result. I am playing Fallout New Vegas GOG; v 1.4.0.525 I reinstalled all my Microsoft Visual C++ files, I have 19 of them so it is not one of them at fault. I have no idea why this only happens when I launch with nvse active. I would be grateful for any advice.
  8. Thank you for that link, it looks like it could be the solution to our problem. I will give it a shot on my next play through as the problem I have on the path to Ivarstead only happens the first time I travel on that path and after that everything loads correctly. Actually I think the two problems are unrelated as I do not fast travel to the Ivarstead path. Still, I like the mod and am going to install it on my next play through, certainly cannot hurt.
  9. I have had the same problem with some of my builds, although not with the current one. I never have found out what the conflict was with,. What I would do was to save whenever I was going to fast travel to Whiterun and then if that happened go back to that save and play for a while, maybe fifteen or twenty minutes, save again and then fast travel to Whiterun again. That usually did the trick. If not i Would just repeat until I fast traveled to Whiterun successfully. As it did not happen all that often and was relatively easy to correct I considered it a minor bug and just lived with it. Maybe someone who has had that problem has figured out what was causing it can inform us what it was. I do know that I have had a problem with textures on roads disappearing on a path leading to Ivarstead before and found out it was caused by Better Roads and Bridges. Although I do not believe that is the cause of this, still anything is possible. Tried to attach a picture of the one I was talking about on the path to Ivarstead but it was too large; 10 MB.
  10. Reminds me of a blurb I saw on a post some time ago; "I don't play Skyrim, I just mod it."
  11. When asking questions about dll files you must state which version of SSE you are playing. The dll file you are talking about depends on the version you are playing. For instance fiss.dll "FileAccess Interface For Skyrim" dll, the version of fiss you need depends on the version of SSE you are playing. Also FISS is incompatible with some versions of SSE. Then again in some versions of SSE some mods are dependent on FISS. Basically your questions about dll files are unanswerable unless the version of SSE you are playing is known.
  12. I completely agree with you about the GOG version of SSE AE and the problems with using Steam. The only game I play through Steam anymore is Starfield. What you are forgetting I believe, is that Steam has features that many people enjoy using besides the games it has. I believe this is why so many people use Steam, if all they cared about were the games migrating off Steam would be a no-brainier.
  13. I would click on Mods at the top of the SSE mods page and go to "Most Endorsed" or "Top Files" this will give you the mods most used by the general run of players of this game. As for a certain character type you can choose which mods would best fit a profile of that character.
  14. The Best of Times is the guide I used before trying Viva Las Vegas. I used Vortex when it was first released by Nexus and had no problem with it, just preferred NMM over it. I played TTW a number of years ago and enjoyed it very much and I still think it is a great mod, DLC; I don't really know what you would call it. It is the change in installation I have a problem with. I prefer to keep all my games under one roof, so to speak. So I figure that is a silver lining in my inability to use MO2 to install TTW, I can continue to play all my games using NMMCE as my mod manager.
  15. The problem it has with dll files. Also I have never had any luck using MO. I first tried long before MO2 came out and used it successfully with the original TES5 but when I tried to mod FNV with it I completely failed. More than likely due more to my ignorance of MO than MO itself. I have tried to use MO2 with TTW, faithfully following Roy Batty's instructions and then when that did not work I tried Viva Las Vegas with the same result. I have been modding for about ten years now and have installed mods manually, with Wrye Bash, and with MO and NMM successfully. It is undoubtedly my fault and not the fault of MO2 but frankly I got tired of fighting with the program. I will just continue to use NMMCE which has no problem at all installing dll files.
  16. You might try "Alternate Start-Live Another Life", that mod has many different characters you can choose to start your play-through. Whether it has what you are looking for I do not know, you will have to check that out yourself.
  17. I have been playing the GOG version of FNV and have been using 6.3.4 with no problem.
  18. It would be nice if someone would make a patch for these two mods. Evidently the only conflict is in Solitude with a couple of trees, one right where they are executing the prisoner as you enter Solitude and the other the tree just at the entrance to the Dragonborn Gallery. I was told that if I ran DynDOLOD with Indistinguishable Billboards that would eliminate the tree in front of the Dragonborn Gallery; unfortunately it did not work for me. More than likely because of some failure on my part. I was actually rather surprised that nobody had made a patch for this yet. Anyway I would really like to play a profile with these two mods together as Legacy of the Dragonborn and the Curators Companion have been a constant in any profile I play for years now and I really love the landscape of The People of Skyrim Complete. I am also one of those people who is constantly starting a new game so I have no problem abandoning the game I am currently playing to start a completely new one.
  19. "Best" is a question which depends on personal preference and thus relatively meaningless in a forum such as this. My first thought would be "Immersive Weapons" although I prefer "More Interesting Loot" myself.
  20. In order to use SSEEdit with GOG you must use a command line argument. This is how I did it, you must substitute your own paths for mine when creating the arguments. First right click on SSEEdit and create a shortcut. Right click on the shortcut and select "Properties" then click on "Target" so that you start at the end of the target argument all this is without the quote marks.. Hit space and enter -D:"E:\Skyrim Anniversary Edition\Data" space -I:"C:\Users\my name\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition GOG\Skyrim.ini" space -P:"C:\Users\my name\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition GOG\plugin.txt" and save. You must enter the arguments as shown exactly including the quotation marks. You might have to try a couple of times before you get it right, I certainly did, but after you get it right you start SSEEdit from that shortcut. I assume you are using SSEEdit 4.0.4.
  21. What is wrong with playing the game at 60fps? You are still at 144hz. What fps do you want to run at? You do realize that that running the game at too high an fps will break your game.
  22. Playing the intro with a full mod order is always an iffy proposition. I would advise playing through the intro with just a few mods; USSEP and SkyUI for instance. Once you emerge from the Helgen cave you can save and start adding mods to that save. I usually make a couple of saves there and keep them. When I start a new game with a different load order I start from one of those saves so I do not have to go through the intro again.
  23. I do support the state of Israel and it's people, always have. However I do not believe that this is the proper venue for political discussions which can be highly charged. I would no more consider discussing politics on Nexus than I would religion or any other controversial subject. That is my last word on this subject.
  24. That means you have downloaded the wrong version of the mod for your game. What version is your game. If it is 1.6.640 you should be running version 4.2.3 of JContainers SE. Please post the version of your game and the version of JContainers SE you have installed.
