  1. I need a tutorial or a good example in the exterior world of Skyrim, that I can use to understand how cave entrances are done. I need to know what object is used for auto loading doors. I visited the over watch outside Whiterun but, in the CK I couldn't see any "auto load doors" or objects that appeared to link to an interior space. I would appreciate any good examples or links to tutorials and the object name.
  2. I'm not experience with the CK at all but, I found a video where one of the house mods had positioned skeletons. I don't know if the skeletons are treated the same was as NPC corpses but, the mod is called The Evil Haunted Mansion . I saw this mod in a video by Smike. Video Here.
  3. Also found this Halloween Video by Smike featuring his top 10 horror mod picks. SKYRIM - TOP 10 SCARY / CREEPY MODS! (Halloween Special)
  4. Where are the ice fields exactly? What are the details here exactly?
  5. This would probably be fairly easy to learn to do your self, if all else fails. The only part I haven't seen in a video yet is how to do a cave entrance.
  6. Its it possible to edit border regions? Can they be moved back or removed safely?
  7. Sorry guys, forum spam. I found the answer here. http://www.gamesas.com/how-find-the-coordinates-exterior-cell-t259008.html I used the steps below but cannot guarantee the result you will get so good luck and ... Try this: Run game and take character to spot you wantEnter consoleClick on a nearby object (For me it was a handy bench though this was internal!)Make a note of the item IDClose gameRun CKMenu Bar>File>Data>Skyrim.esm + .esp (s)Menu Bar>Edit>Find TextEnter the object ID ref you noted in 'Search Text' (you may have to drop quotation marks and or brackets!)Look in the five tabs listed and your object should be under objectsRead the details of the object to find the cellI hope this helps or at least get you somewhere near!
  8. Can anyone explain to me how to quickly reach remote map areas in the creation kit? I'm trying to load the area near falkreath, where the invisible boarder prevents further travel. The problem is that I only know how to reach locations I can pull up in the objects window. I have no idea how to reach land that doesn't have any notable landmarks. I would appreciate any help thanks.
  9. They have bounty quests in vanilla. I don't see what would make this too difficult. On another note I kind of feel like enchanting sorta kills the idea of very unique rewards. I think the TES series are more about creating your own experience. That's why unique rewards don't play a huge role. Dont get me wrong though. Alternative bounties and related rewards do sound cool. I'm working on learning the CK but the will probably release TES VI by the time I get a hang of it lol.
  10. You might want to link to it. I wasn't aware anyone was doing anything with this mod. Maybe post on the old mod as well.
  11. Custom races are super time consuming from what Iv'e heard.
  12. Lol do not buy that alienware pc. It's just a bunch of weak sauce components in a Alienware shell. They hide the gpu model for a reason. It's probably a GTX 950m or 850m lol. Do your self a favor and buy a desktop. Buy your self an old 2500k,2600k or old Ivg bridge platform off eBay for 50 dollars. Then take the left over money and yet two GTX 970s. Buy your own psu, storage and cpu cooler obviously. Bam essentially the same price
  13. I would probably only want to go as far as scripting but, I have other ideas I could shoot for. I guess I'll take your advice and make a folower mod to start.
  14. Ah well this projects probably off the table then, if have to learn programming lol. Thanks for the insight. When you're new to modding its hard to tell what would be difficult and what wouldn't.
  15. I have read about it and attempted it but, no I would not say I can program or have.
  16. So its not likely that I could learn to do this in a very short amount of time my self? Could you reference the amount of time and experience required for this idea, in a way that a total novice could understand?
  17. How reasonable would it be to expect to do this to all the "living areas" in Skyrim?
  18. I was wondering if it would be possible for an NPC to ban you from their store for entering the personal areas of their home after warning you. Is this possible? It would be nice if they said "Hey what are you doing in here" and then waited and said "Its time for you to leave". If you didn't leave their personal area they would call the guards or ban your from their store. IF this was possible it would be cool to get banned from local stores or possibly the whole town. Obviously some unvoiced dialog and other details would have to be added but, I was wondering if this would even be possible. If it was possible and not terribly difficult I would consider attempting this my self. I'm just too new to modding to understand whats possible yet or the extent of the work involved with all my ideas. If anyone knows what would be involved I would appreciate some advice.
  19. Let me guess sombody stole your sweet roll. Oh they did? Ok....let me go get the forensics team. Brb...
  20. That stuff is easy. You just load up the CK and find the cell you want then start moving crap around. The only complicated stuff as far as design is linking doors and sending npcs places with in the navmesh. It all looks really complicated but most of its just its very simple. Unfortunately most of the tutorials leave things out or scatter the information though out very boring and dry endlessly over detailed step by steps. Then you end up getting a headache sorting out all the useless crap. It really requires no talent at all. Obviously some talented people work wonders but, none is "needed" to do what your talking about. How good it looks depends on how much time you put in and you're sense of artistic direction really.
  21. I've seen non skyrim looking buildings but, I have no idea how they are made. The textures I know can be customized but, I don't know anything about the structures. That would be the hard part. The building part is actually quite easy. There's nothing complicated about slapping things together and decorating. You can lean how to build a cell, land and link interior spaces in all of abour three ten minute videos. The hard stuff is coding stuff that moves like flying homes and carriages. If you could get the textures and architecture of daedric realms imported and or recreated, you could build most of it your self.
  22. If you know how long this would take why are you suggesting it?
  23. How would one even go about doing this? Are there any textures or buildings in the CK for daedric realms? Is it possible to design new buildings and building parts for the CK? I'm guessing you could steal textures from Oblivion but, I'd be curious to know if its possible to recreate the buildings and how.
