  1. How is glitchy better than buggy? I stopped posting over there when they locked the anti-Steam thread for being too long and without attempting to address any of the concerns raised in any of the 200+ posts. Of course, I was especially irked by the fact that the last post was someone twisting my words and making me look like an idiot while himself saying something stupid.

    Open Carry

The Pearl High School massacre and the UT clock tower massacre are two off the top of my head. The shooter at Pearl High was cornered and subdued by the vice principal whom had a .45 handgun in the glove compartment of his truck. While the VP was unable to save any lives at Pearl High with his actions, he was able to prevent a second shooting at the middle school. The shooter had planned to drive from the HS to the MS and resume his killing spree there. At UT, the students didn't have handguns, rather they had hunting rifles that they kept in their vehicles. When the shooter began firing on the students, they ran and grabbed their rifles and returned fire. When the students were able to return fire, the shooter was forced to take cover and his aim was seriously hampered and he was unable to kill anymore people after that. At least one of the officers that went up the tower and took out the shooter has credited the students' suppression fire with their successful attempt to neutralize the shooter.

    Open Carry

With the elections coming up, one of the big issues in Texas at the moment, though not necessarily publicized, is the open carrying of handguns. In Texas it is already fully legal to openly carry a long gun, loaded or unloaded and there is no license for it, mandatory or otherwise. However, it is very much against the law to openly carry a handgun, various individuals and groups are seeking to change this law. They want unlicensed open and concealed carry for Texas. I think that the divergent opinions that can be found in a place like this can be very enlightening. After all, the lot of you are not united based on your love or hatred of guns, nor are you united based on your political slant. Rather you are here for a fairly unrelated interest that you all share. Thus the opinions on this subject should be pretty diverse and therefore enlightening. I find this to be quite an intriguing prospect. So my question to you is as follows: Do you support open carry and why have you chosen the stance that you have?
  4. I probably wouldn't have done the exact same thing as The Legion. But I wouldn't have stopped it either. They were cold and heartless, caring only for themselves. They made their bed and were forced to sleep in it. Had someone tried to selflessly save their loved ones, I'm fully convinced The Legion would have let them go.
  5. Yeah, I probably would have been vaporized too had I chosen to fight them as I was only like level 2, maybe 3. lol
  6. So because someone disagrees with you, their opinion is automatically illegitimate? More like "I don't have to explain myself to you". I don't need a reason to not like something, just as you don't need a reason to like it. I can accept that you like it and might even have very good reasons for doing so. Why can you not just accept the fact that other people do not feel the same way? I'm not here to debate, this is not the debate section. I put forward my opinion and did not attack anyone else's. I am not demanding that Bethesda completely remove Steam, I am merely stating my displeasure with it being forced and lamenting that I purchased a copy without duly inspecting the package. That I wont be purchasing the next Bethesda game if it requires Steam, I don't care if Steam is an option. If it is then great! More power to the people that like. But I don't like it and I don't want it forced down my throat. I'd like you to grow up and realize that people aren't always going to agree with you, that you will be wrong sometimes, you will be right sometimes and a lot of times you'll be neither as both positions are possible, such is the case here. But if you choose not to, then that is fine, it is your choice. I'll just ignore your inane rantings. However, should you decided to have intelligent, level headed, rational arguments then I'll gladly sit down and have a discussion with you. Till then, good luck to you in your endeavors.
  7. I don't have to justify my dislike of Steam to you. Just like you don't have to justify why you like it to me. Yeah, you're the one throwing insults at someone for having a different opinion than yours and yet I'm the 11 year old. http://themystake.com/sarajevo/emotes/0488.png
  8. What say ye? :pirate: I was going to start a fight with the Legionaries at first and kick their asses out of New Vegas, but then I did the rational thing and listened to their side. I was disgusted by what I heard of the townsfolk. They totally deserved it, but I wouldn't call the Legion or it's justice philosophy pure.
  9. I would love to observe major battles. Past, present and future. I would like to go back about 15 years, *censored* slap myself and make me do a few things different. Then go back to 05 and help myself 'get the girl'. There are other things I'd like to witness and observe as well, such as distant stars and the first flight. Watch the F-15 pilot lose one of his wings and land his plane.
  10. I definitely wouldn't have bought it. I hate Steam. I didn't know about it. Though I'm not about to launch a class action lawsuit because I didn't know. It was right there on the back of the box, I just didn't bother to look. But I will from now on and wont be buying anymore Bethesda games with Steam forced on you.
  11. They're still considering nuclear powered space ships, missiles(not nuclear warheads, nuke powered) and nuke powered planes. http://www.nextenergynews.com/news1/next-energy-news-toshiba-micro-nuclear-12.17b.html For sale to the everyday household with $30,000,000.
  12. Depends on situation. If it's slightly funny, then lol. If it's falling out of your chair, rolling on the floor hilarious then ROTFLMAO is your acronym. But I love orange juice.
  13. I mostly eat either Mc Donalds or Little Caesar's, depending on my mood. This is because of price and location. It's easier to get to either of these places for me than any other fast food restaurant that I like and can easily afford. I like Whataburger, unfortunately they're quite high. Which is largely fine, they're worth it, I just can't afford to spend $10 on a burger and fries when I can get a large two topping pizza for $6 or McDonalds for the same price. Sonic is ok, though it's a bit out of the way and pricey, also not my favorite. I love DQ, but again, out of the way and pricey. I can't just eat a meal there, gotta get a blizzard. :P Taco Bell is across the street from McDonalds and it's probably my favorite place to eat, but it's a bit inconvenient. Usually when I eat McDonald's, it's because I'm right there anyway. I hate, HATE Burger King. I went to a Christian college and every Sunday they would bus us out to Church in Houston, then after church we'd all go to the mall. The particular mall they had us go to only had a Burger King. The other places I didn't care for or were just way too much money. Anyway. Burger King had exorbitant prices for a fast food restaurant, it was over $10 I was spending on a simple burger and fries, no bacon. Something I love to have on all my burgers. This was ridiculous. I ate there like two or three times till I found out that the Fuddruckers in the parking lot was a bit cheaper and had better, bigger burgers loaded down with bacon. That's right, the nice, REAL restaurant had lower prices and better service! This was 5 years ago, BTW. Meals probably cost like $50 at that Burger King now. But uh yeah, that's why I hate Burger King. As a college student that had pretty much no money and a person that hates spending money anyway, they left a nasty taste in my mouth. I'm sure not all Burger Kings are priced as ridiculously, but at the time, the McDonalds in Memorial City Mall was like $5 for everything I wanted, the Jack in the Box at the town my college was in served my favorite meal with curly fries for $5.50. Orlando's Pizza was an all you can eat pizza joint near the college that cost $4.50 with a drink. /rant
  14. I like having more enemies to kill. But I don't like getting rushed every five seconds. I haven't played enough to give an opinion. If you can stay on the roads and stay safe from enemy attacks, then that sounds like an interesting and somewhat neat gimmick. At the sametime, it sounds like it can get annoying quickly. I'd like to see more patrols, that'd be pretty kickass honestly.
  15. I think you can play in offline mode after you've activated your game. As for gamers without internet access: I work at GameStop and atleast half of my customers don't have internet access because the area they live in is not serviced by any affordable ISPs. This was an issue this weekend as well, when my coworkers and I were in Austin for training on the new rewards system. Basically you have to have internet access or you're screwed. Which sucks for us, because we're expected to push the loyalty card, yet half of our customers can't use it. -__- Guess they had to do something to try and make us look bad, seeing as we were top in the nation for the last four months our store has been open.:whistling: But I digress.

  17. If you purchase the game within the next week or so from a GameStop, you MIGHT be able to come across an employee that'll be willing to print out a pre-order code for you. The trick is, though, purchasing it before the codes are removed from the system.
  18. Don't worry, I wouldn't ever ask you to do that, I love it here too. I installed FOOK and noticed they have a P99, maybe whomever made that model can re-release it all by it's lonesome? IDK I do plan on trying to ask some of the CSS modders if I can use their P99 mods and port them to FO3. I know that's where some of the other hi-rez weapon mods came from, but IDK how to do that so it would take time for me to learn.
  19. I'm not sure, my archived copy was corrupted by some comp problems. :( All I have left is the loose files in my data folder. But uh, version? Are there any more? The P99 is my favorite handgun, would like to download it again. But when I searched through all the weapon mods I couldn't find another. :(
  20. There was one, but IDK what happened to it. Luckily I still have the files, though.
