  1. Check the size of your game saves, some ppl are having issues with large ones causing game slowdowns.Make sure you got the latest drivers, and disable the threading optimization in the drivers. Also, the nvidia drivers have a adaptive, and adaptive 1/2 rate, which should limit ok,seems to limit mine to about 30.Also,alot of ppl are complaining about issues with dragonborn,so it may jsut add more taxing scripts to the game.If your drops are in a city doing nothing that would cause it,then I'd worry,if it's in combat,or in exterior cells with lots going on,I's not worry about it.
  2. Ususally if it's an issue on low vanilla, then there's other system issues, could be bad hardware, some hidden things running, autobackups, disk optimizer, antivirus, etc.I can't rememebr if it's asus or acer that has a hidden encrypter that runs in backgorund.A friend had an issue with toher games a few years ago,and finally found out it was the app hidden causing all the stuttering and crashing. It's also posisble you pushed system a bit too hard too long, and it degraded over time. Are there other games you tried that played good?Do you got the skyrim DVD,and can install fromt heat, and not update it on steam to see if non-updated skyrim works fine? Also, try playing with steam in offline mode.
  3. Unlike alot of the older Oblivion plugins, the Skyrim ones don't jsut all start at once, you can wait to do things, and some only trigger after the main quest is done,or certain levels, etc. You might also want the unnofficial patches for the game and DLCs.
  4. Did it start as you added mods?Have you used BOSS to look for incompatibilities and proper load order? Also, you probably should use the unofficial patches for the game and DLCs.
  5. S GTX260 on laptop isn't much to work with, also, there's newer 314 drivers that might help. The 310 ones had a few issues with them. Also,in your videocard driver settings turn off threaded optimization, there's a bug in them, and it don't work right, makes things slower. Also, defragging drive, disabling live antivirus/spyware scanning during gaming, and close background apps.Don't use ENB,or injectors, and try not to use many hires packs. If you use any LOD or distance tweaks like ugrids, change em back.
  6. Make sure in your SkyrimPrefs.ini you have this: [GamePlay] bShowFloatingQuestMarkers=1 bShowQuestMarkers=1
  7. Update Hires packs on steam if oyu haven't yet.Supposedly it should be ok,if not, then try the BSA trick for the pack, and add them in your Skyrim.ini file, and unmark thier ESPs in your Data Files. Also try verifying the files on steam. 8. A pic,and pc specs would help.Usually a replaced texture won't fix it,jsut really depends on what the cause is.It could be a load order of mods,a bad d/l of a texture pack, corrupt save, using high res texture packs too big for your card to handle, etc.
  9. You only need one Cloaks esp,or it'll cause issues. Also, try using BOSS to figure out load order, and if any mod is outta date or incompatible with eachother.Dawnguard and Dragonborn should be after update, then use the unofficial patches after those,in same order,to fix some bugs, since some quests never start or complete without em.
  10. The only thing I noticed so far is it changed my Transparency - Antialiasing in the control panel to off.I check those anyway cause I like making sure my PhysX is set to the videocard not auto like it wants when installing updated drivers. The 313 betas actually fixed alot int he 310 drivers, and made things faster. This set seem fine so far,no issues yet.
  11. Depending on the PC and slots you got,you might be able to jsut get a card that'll run it better is oyur best bet.
  12. I'd suggest defragging your harddrive, disabling background apps that are unneeded, and use steam in offline mode.Live antivirus/spyware stuff can cause lag.Clean install of skyrim, and DLCs before installing any unofficial patches, mods,ENB,injectors, wrappers,SKSE,etc causes same issues?Just disabling mods won't always remove the issues they might cause, especially if you using alot of texture/mesh replacers or script extenders and injectors.
  13. Depending on mod,you gotta unpack it,and ususally put the esp, bsa, esm in data folder, and if it came with other folder like textures, meshes, etc those also. Then it'll see it in the launcher's data files
  14. What kinda hardware you running on?Did you do any ini tweaks? Some of your mods look like they need updating.Have you checked them with BOSS to see if there's conflicts/incompatibilities?
  15. I did it,atleast on my PC.If it works, you can remove spell and be on your way to a hopefully less issuey game. 1)goto a safe place without anyone around,I went to the alchemist shack 2)with console add the werewolf spell: player.addspell 92c48 3)use beastform 4)wait til it wears off, then goto whiterun 5)try sleeping in your bed
  16. Do you got the Hearthfires DLC?Do you own a home with a child's bedroom?
  17. If you haven't used BOSS for load order, and to check incompatibilities, try that. Also, make a clean install of skyrim and DLCs and use no mods or ini tweaks, and try using the save.
  18. It looks like you might be stuck.Seems you have too large a bounty to be able to sleep, and in Malkeath it makes guards attacka nd not let you pay.I tried the pay crime gold command for the town, buit it didn't help, maybe try all the factions, and see if it helps. It seems the only other thing to do,besides one person saying with dawnguard turning to vampire lord helped. Site with info about pay crime gold: http://skyrimforums.org/threads/factions-ids-and-setcrimegold-command.1972/
  19. Well,if it's doing that, make sure your monitor cable is in good.Over time,or moving pc it can start to unplug if oyu don't tighten the screws on the cable to it well.It coujld be videocard not seated well also.Does it happen when you're not in Skyrim?Do you use something like ENB,or installed any mods that mess with lighting?
  20. Use Steam to update your game in the language you installed it.It'll install the latest 1.8,which some mods have to have.
  21. Did you disable/remove ENB if you got it?That's something that isn't in a mod list.Try turning off all mods, incase one messes with lights, but isn't light only mod. Also a screenshot would help to see how bad it is.
  22. Did sleep work before,or did you try sleeping late in the game?I never sleep, lol, but have tested to make sure I can sleep.I'm LVL 50 now,and no issues.I am leaning to something glitched in save.If oyu can post the save,I can try testing, can't hurt, and nothing to lose.
  23. Being on a laptop if your laptop is using lower end graphics,or not enough ram set to it(sometimes set in bios),it'll start to lag, especially with higher end graphics replacers installed.Try just playing vanilla skyrim with your dlc,and the setting it chose for your laptop. Then add one non graphics mod at a time and test a while.Do you use BOSS to test for load order, and incompatibilities? What kinda hardware is in your laptop?
  24. The save without mods still has the info the effect is on.It could be a mod was written wrong and accidently set to always stay on.Only way is to use a save right before it happened, which you mighta overwrote with the autosaves going in and outta places. The tutorial at top of forum for removing spell effects don't work either?
