  1. I've been looking around quite a bit but haven't found anything like this. Times like this make me wish I knew how to mod this game. Or at least where there was a proper walkthrough on how to mod it. Bethesda's GECK walkthroughs are almost useless to someone new to modding.

I use Dimon's Type 3 body and was wondering if there was anyway to make wearable underwear underneath the armor. I mean so you can change armors without stripping the character down naked. Or I even would be interested in a replacement for the naked version of type 3 to a underwear version if there is one out there.

Get ADDON TYPE3clothesV3 from the Type 3 file page. Open the readme. There's a bit in there that'll tell you how to use one of those clothing items as the base body instead of the normal nude ones.

  2. I just can't see someone running around the wasteland wearing that...

I know a lot of these outfits would be a stretch to fit into the Fallout universe, but that is just completly out there

Maybe they have cosplay conventions in the Wasteland... oh wait they do at Canterbury Commons. lol

  3. I've been nursing a Supernatural mod idea (along with a couple of others) for quite awhile, and yeah the Colt was a part of it, but it wasn't all spooky monsters to kill. It was actually half Winchester half Van Helsing - yeah Vampires, real Vampires not that "The Family" crap.

I'm not going to make it though. I hate working with the GECK for anything other than tweaks. I could elaborate on the idea if you want.

  4. WHat you do is repair the sentry bot, rest about 10-13 hours. In that time NPC will run and repair the protectron and run back launching the super mutant town attack script. So far this has worked fro me, by the way the reason the robot isn't there is because it catapulted itself somewhere into wasteland.

I fast traveled once and it landed right behind me. I hate that catapult junk thing...

Also had a corpse fall on me at one time too. Always after fast travel..

  5. My my my...this thing is epic.

I think you can get away with giving the player a super jump effect and godding them for the millisecond they land? Or maybe it will automatically fire the rockets again just before hitting and slow the player down?

The problem with super jumping in Fallout 3, is the fact that you'd land in mid air whenever you jump higher than vanilla jumping. The engine is pretty crap when it comes to jumping...

  6. Here's the problem. You need to move the DLC files (usually two bsa and one esm) from here:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Xlive\DLC

To your Data folder. You may need to go into folder options and set "view hidden files and folders".

If you don't move them you will crash anytime you try to run a DLC dependant mod (ie such as one that changes something in the DLC), because if you let GfWL load the DLC it will load it last (when it needs to be loaded before the DLC dependant mod).

  7. Ok, thank You for replying..next question, is there a link to the where I can buy and download it? if I go to GFWL all I get is an option to buy the XBox version and I do not have neither do i want an XBox

You need the Games for Windows Live application. Seeing as you have Fallout 3 you will already have it on your PC.

  8. What I'd like to see is someone model armors from the various races in hi-rez from scratch. The SM armors that are out now are pretty cruddy looking and have bad textures, and I would suspect they were ported straight from Dawn of War, the RTS game. Obviously, the units in that are way too small to be upscaled into fallout3 decently. The Tau weapons were done pretty nicely though.

They aren't ported from Dawn of War, they are remodeled F3 Power Armour models. The textures too are from FO3 but recoloured.

If you think you can do better go ahead.

  9. hmmm well i can tell you that it wouldnt be so wise to change propotions now... i used original power armor propotions from the game so it would fit everythink...

I wasn't saying the proportions were off or that they needed changing. I was just saying that the three bits (crotch plater, girdle, and "butt) made it look like the proportions were off.

  10. If I could make a suggestion, I'd reccomend making the breasplate more 3d, aka making it jutting out more and more rounded, it looks alot better when its not flat.

I agree. I'm also not digging the massive crotch plate, the "girdle" or the oddly unarmoured "butt". They seem to give the impression that the waist extends all the way down there, making the rest of the armour look out of proportion... then there is the neck zone which looks pretty exposed (one neck shot and your done for).

The waist plating, legs, shoulderpads, and arms all look awesome though.

  11. about the story if you have some idea just let me know

    Story eh?

Hmm well there are two possibilities.

    1. It's the Prototype successor to the T-51b, (the T-51c?) developed by West Tek but lost on route to the Pentagon when the nukes fell. The schematics for it were never recovered by the Enclave due to a nuke landing right on top of the West Tek Research facility.

    2. It can be linked to the Broken Steel storyline, and can be the result of the Brotherhood's Order of the Shield's efforts in creating new technology after getting their hands on the Enclave's tech (perhaps a T-51b / Advanced Power Armour MkII hybrid).

  12. It's being worked on.

The helmet is already done and put into FOOK, while the rest of the armor is being worked in Fallout 3 General Modification Talk in the cerberus topic or something

That's not Helghast armour. That is Jin-Roh Wolf Brigade Protect Armour.

  13. I realize that the virus is more virulent than the typical flu viruses, so my information may not be accurate. But this is my conclusion, that we possibly may be overreacting. Just wash your hands constantly, consume enough vitamin C, and stay away from people who are coughing.

That's exactly what it is, a massive overreaction. To may people running around like headless chickens for a flu virus... jeese. If your healthy and you catch it you'll be sick for a few days to a week or two, and then you'll be fine.
