The Thorn is Glitched
magnanimousmudd replied to Fairfield's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
What I did, was use console to kill one of the teams, and that reset it. On my game though, I also have a giant radscorpion who spawns in the ring every time I leave and come back later. Its completely unresponsive. -
I was so focused on clearing the camp before releasing him, that I completely forgot about him and left the camp without letting him loose. When I returned, he had vanished =C

request for fo3 to be a nv dlc
magnanimousmudd replied to phuhcue's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
If thats possible, than it should be After Project Purity that you arrive (Like the beginning of Broken Steel) and have you go from there, but as an unknown. There would be holes, because you have to be recognized by some people, but it wouldnt be too much of a big deal. -
I agree 100% After the upgrade I was like "Wheres the License plate and Bumper Sticker? :<" Makes him look like the average eyebot.

I made Raiders a playable race, and it seems to work fine in character creation, BUT once I'm done, and go into third person, my hand textures are missing. I changed absolutely nothing, besides checking the box to allow it as playable, so I dont understand what might be causing it. I thought to make a copy of the Caucasian Raider and replace the hand textures with those of the regular Caucasian to see if that would work; Turns out that doesn't, simply because when I browse the files, nothing shows up that's texture related =\ Can someone tell me how I might fix it?

request for fo3 to be a nv dlc
magnanimousmudd replied to phuhcue's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
But NV takes place after FO3 anyways. It wouldn't make sense. -
stimpak heals crippled head
magnanimousmudd replied to minimax1's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I assume wearing a helmet reduces the damage taken to the head? I almost NEVER get crippled limbs though.. and Ive been playing for about 100 hours. I'm wondering what you are doing that I'm not =0 -
Like, say you killed all the quest related characters, is it possible to bring your game to a complete halt?

Serious Hidden Valley bug (can't enter)
magnanimousmudd replied to syke247's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
I guess its a good thing that I picked the lock =x Maybe its just a glitched door? Is it possible to replace it with a different door that has a Very Hard lock on it, and have the scripts open that one instead? -
I come not to praise Ceasar but to Bury Him
magnanimousmudd replied to Fonger's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
I killed him with hold out weapons after getting the platinum chip =0 3 smartly placed C4 charges, A stick of Dynamite on each (2 on the c4 charge near Caesar) and a 44. Magnum. The rest in the camp I sneak attacked while in disguise with Melee =P -
"Oh My Papa" Help
magnanimousmudd replied to magnanimousmudd's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
Yeah, there's a random glitch with ED-E and Rex where they will get attacked by certain NPC's without cause. -
Killing Mr House option way too radical?
magnanimousmudd replied to MerceAR's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
I think that there would be a workable truce that could be made with House by the NCR if they had competent diplomats. Or they could ask the Courier to relay a message of proposed peace to House. Makes no sense to me. They control the Electricity, and supplies outside of New Vegas. New Vegas receives the caps from gamblers, and then New Vegas has to buy resources to keep everything going (besides power because of the dam treaty thingamabob where House gets 5%). Sounds like they both need each other in certain ways and SOMETHING could have been worked out. Its the Dam that's important, let him keep Vegas, and move on knowing that if a force such as the Legion pushes that far again, that you will have support in House who will be there to defend his city, and in turn, the Dam, because it powers his city. Another thing that doesn't make sense, is the Yes Man option. Imo, you could easily take control of New Vegas, FOR the NCR. Why does it HAVE to be an independent option? =| I upgraded the robots, and THEN disconnected house, so the city had upgraded securitrons at least =P -
For people who can't open console
magnanimousmudd replied to bowman68's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
For me it was disabling the ENE CIR Receiver -
PW - Primitive Wasteland
magnanimousmudd replied to skiddledou's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I was thinking about this idea earlier, but I dont think that Power Armor should be removed. I mean, think about it. Theres all this talk about the Brotherhood being well armed, yet when it comes down to it, if you wanted you and a companion can take on a whole bunker of them. Imagine if all you had were pistols with scarce ammunition and some melee weapons, and were wearing merc armor, and you tried to take on just a few Brotherhood soldiers with Gauss Rifles? You would get decimated, as I feel it should be. The Brotherhood Paladins and Knights should be like tanks imo. -
A new .357 magnum revolver
magnanimousmudd replied to bili2's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Sweet looking gun, though I dont personally feel it quite fits in with Fallout: NV's look. -
If you mean wait for something like the console ring for Oblivion, than there are limitations presented by its usage. That's why I went through all the trouble of finding out how to fix the problem when I ran into it, rather than just dealing with the limitations of a console item =P

Hmmm.. When Sneaking I usually get 1 shot kills when I get a headshot sneak attacj (have used this to my advantage since the beginning of the game). Only thing that can really survive are I think Deathclaws, unless I'm using some of the stronger weapons like the 308. Sniper rifle or the Anti Material (Maybe Brush). All I can suggest is using stronger weapons, or maybe http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34851

How to Cash in Ultra Lux Chips
magnanimousmudd replied to Paxan_1's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Spoilers
Thought semi-rude, hes got a point =x Edit: (though in real life, they would have hired another one) Maybe you should find out how to revive dead characters who's bodies have already disappeared? -
Did you disable the ENE CIR receiver? Edit: I believe you have to do it as an admin to truly disable it. I think some people have the impression you have to fully remove it, but I didn't. I'm on a laptop and console didn't work in my games using the ~ key until I did that. Do some research on it I guess.

Shadowrun total converison?
magnanimousmudd replied to cerebus23's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
Sounds like it would be pretty cool, but it also sounds like A LOT of trouble.. Maybe just play Shadow Run? =x -
Instead of having a headquarters that you can enter, you could instead just receive a letter letting you know that someone is interested in hiring you to take care of some things. And maybe it leads you to a bunker of sorts (just a small entrance area), where when inside you find a box (where your rewards for completed assassinations will be placed) and a windowed area with someone in a full black attire standing inside (the windowed area idea could be similar to the Robot salesman for the Gunrunners) and in the window there could be a little slot, from which he passes you slips of paper with your target and your reward for taking out said target written on them. (He/she would be completely silent, and have no dialogue) Maybe have it so if you accept, your target spawns, and if you dont, nothing happens. Could even have it so your targets travel, so you have to catch them. Like, say you are in Jacobstown, and your target is at the 188, and you fast travel to the 188, by the time you get there, they are in Novac. something like that. Just a suggestion, and the way I explained, it wouldn't really be too prominent of a thing. It would just be something to do on the side for kicks and rewards. It could always be a starting point, and be expanded on though. Like after a certain amount of assassinations, you do get to meet someone, and talk to them to further your position in the brotherhood?

I agree, though. I like the one with the stick magazine over the drum as well. -
Tops suite improvement
magnanimousmudd replied to DragonJTS's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Ideas
I think the problem would be they would have to disarm to actually be in The Tops. Unless you were given your weapons as you entered your room, and then they were taken away as you went back into the Casino area.
