All downloads fail when trying to restore mod backup

So I backed up all my skyrim mods to move them to a new computer, but when I try to restore them they all fail to download. Not super jazzed about having to redownload all of them manually, especially after paying for premium just to restore them more easily.

Any ideas why this is happening?

No, I used the modlist backup and restore features in the mods menu. The one you need to pay premium for. I've exported the modlist 3 times and each time I try to restore it on my other computer every download fails. Many of them are "SSL payload corrupted" errors, but many also give no reason for the failure. It seems that Vortex isn't capable of exporting the modlist without major corruption issues.

Sounds like you need to report this to the person who wrote the EXTENSION

when you say you backed them up - why don't you take the archive files from your old machine, store them on a pendrive, and simply plug that into your new machine and restore the archives, then you can simply import from a file and save yourself a ton of download nonsense?

As HTR points out, the backup extension is not an official part of Vortex, it was made by a community developer.

If you've got a brand new PC and are seeing SSL error you should probably make sure you've done all applicable Windows updates as your local SSL certificate data is probably out of date.
