Install mods when game is on a different HDD

Is there any way to do this? I have Skyrim on my SSD and my mods/download folder for Vortex on a different HDD but Vortex doesnt allow deploying when the game isnt on the same folder. Is there a work around for this?

Yea, as the Knowledge Base and Built in Tutorial Videos say, this is Basic Vortex Setup 101, Your MOD STAGING FOLDER has to be on the same hard drive as the Game.
Everything else of Vortex can be on another drive.

PURGE your Mods, then go here and put in the new folder path

Purge is a non-destructive operation, it just removes the mod files from the game folder but keeps them in Vortex (in the staging folder). Deploying reverses the purge action and makes all your mods available again.

NO, Purging just means that the Link between the Mod and the Data folder is severed, but the mod is still installed, more basic Vortex 101
