Beginning of game wagon bug

Whenever I start a new game, the intro starts but the carts aren't moving at all. the guys talk to me up untill "A nord's last thought should be of home", then it's complete silence and nothing happens.

Exactly my issue. So I toggled free camera and had a look around. All the riders were swaying, but the horses were stiff, tails back and had their mouths wide open (T-pose for a horse?)

 

So I re-ran GenerateFNISforUsers and clicked the de-install creatures button.

 

The horses and wagons started moving again...

I had the same issues, but a lot of audio issues going on as well. Saw that someone had posted about changing what your monitors refresh rate was at made a difference. I was at 144HZ brought it down to 60HZ and everything cleared right up. I guess 144HZ was outside of the realm of Bethesda. I know this post is years old now and for future googlers like myself looking for a solution.

I have the same f***ing problem. Was trying to install Skyrim online but couldn't get it to work because of this bug.

I spend several hours in finding the source of the bug but was unable to get anywhere near it. The problem is, even when installing mods and the game works fine - after some tries I get the bug and when I deinstall the mod I installed last, the bug still remains. I often have to go back many steps until it is solved again. So I'm clueless which mod is really causing the issue.

 

I deleted all of the following mods by suspicion and the starting of my game now works sort of stable (at the moment):

 

Tropical Birds

Skyrim School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

ZazResources

and all Sexlab Mods so far.

 

 

 

I can further confirm that the following mods are causing the issue on my system with a very high chance (above 90 % ):

 

Convenient Horses

Helgen Reborn

Race Menu

Realistic Needs and Diseases

and Sneak Tools

I have posted the solution a dozen times, but people keep asking the same things. :wallbash:

Do not use mods during the Helgen/intro sequence. It is heavily scripted and you cannot do anything except follow the script. You cannot attack the dragon. You cannot run and escape from the guards. You cannot untie your hands until the script allows it. You cannot equip anything unless the script allows it. You cannot use any mod that runs a script or changes anything in the intro. It is not just one or two mods that cause the problem. It is a LOT of mods that can cause it sometimes, but not other times. You cannot change the Helgen sequence in any way without causing a problem. So just don't. Wait until you get out of the cave at the end of the intro. Then pile on the mods. Quit trying to figure out which specific mod is causing the problem and just accept that you really do not need any mods during the Helgen sequence - you cannot do anything that is not programmed into the script. And trying to do anything that is not programmed will spoil your game. The real game does not even start until you exit that cave.

 

Your choice, fiddle around for hours trying to isolate whichever mod or combination of mods is causing the problem this time, or just leave all the mods off until after you exit the cave and get on with playing the game.

 

OR use an alternate start mod. :rolleyes:

Had the same bumpy bug like you, fixed it. now the carriage is not moving it all after the Bethesda logo, conversation starts and so on and so forth but the carriage is not moving at all and im stuck. would not like to use the "Another life" mod. any 1 got any tips?

Hi guys I think I've finally found a solution! What I did was to uninstall groovtama's XPMSE (not XPMS) by unchecking XPMSE using the GenerateFNISForUser.exe. and then clicking the update icon. Apparently I believe that the bug was caused by a different skeleton model for creatures (including horses) when installing XPMSE. Everything works perfectly fine after I have uninstalled it. Remember to always update the FNIS using the above mentioned exe file when installing/uninstalling any mods that affect skeleton and animations!!! Also try to refrain from using any console commands during the game intro in Helgen that will somehow change the game world or NPCs such as "kill", "resurrect", "disable", "moveto player", "player.moveto", etc although I'm also guilty of using them to produce amusing results! :devil:
