Issue with file path not loading

I may have spoke too soon. I think MIGHT have fixed this by manually adding the launcher to the executables in Vortex, and then making it the primary tool. Not sure if all of my mods are functioning, but it does seem to have cleared the error unless I'm just bypassing something important. (again, I'm new to this, and not super bright)

Seems like you've moved/deleted the Windows Command Prompt EXE. That implies your Windows install is messed up.

That's what I was concerned about, but the file path does exist. It also only does this when launching Cyberpunk, so maybe it has to do with the way Vortex support is set up for that game?

What mods do you have installed?

I know that a number of CyberPunk mods have been removed because they were malware, I really don't think that Vortex or any other Modding Program or Manager should be looking in your System32 folder for your cmd.exe file

That's something a virus or malware would look for.

'That's what I was afraid of. I guess it's a good thing I have all of my game and engines on a totally separate hard drive. My mods are all graphical upgrades and character creation tools. I sort of just went into "most popular" and downloaded the ones that were still being supported. Looks like I'll have to purge the files and do a virus scan.

uninstalled Cyberpunk and all the related mods and ran a deep scan which didn't turn anything up. Only time will tell I suppose but maybe I dodged a bullet by not manually installing my mods

If the cmd.exe exists, it's very possible that Vortex is not allowed to view that folder (usually a result of over-zealous anti-virus software). Once your mods are installed you can probably launch CP2077 directly from the EXE or via GOG and play with the mods.
