Archive Invalidation problem New Vegas

Hello everyone.

I'm currently encountering issues trying to activate archive invalidation through vortex for FNV.

I've been in the workaround part of the settings and turned on the archive invalidation system, and activated the new mod installed named "Vortex Archive Invalidation"

That's where the strange part begins, when I turn on this mod, I get an error message telling me that some mods are redundant and that there's a overlapping of the "Vortex Archive Invalidation" mod with another mod which is not specified. When I tried to look after conflicts in the files I did not find anything.

Furthermore, when I tried to activate Archive Invalidation manually by editing the .ini files of NV following what's indicated in this thread https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/10303428-fallout-new-vegas-archive-invalidation-not-working/?hl=%2Barchive&do=findComment&comment=97349538 I found that there's no "Vortex - BSA Redirection.bsa" file in my gaming folder.

What should I do?

Thank you for your help

But it does work. User error.

To the OP: what does

new mod installed named "Vortex Archive Invalidation"
even mean?

vortex works fine with fnv.

I guess you didn't read the original post. Archive Invalidation not working is the problem.

you guess wrong.

@gab86

If archive invalidation is not enabled in Fallout NV even after using the Vortex workaround, then do the following. Make sure the BSA Redirection switch is turned on. Go to your mod staging folder and find the folder "Vortex Archive Invalidation." (This can easily be found from the Vortex Mods Page by clicking on "Open in File Manager" in the context menu.) In that folder you will find the required INI tweaks and redirection BSA. Copy and paste these to their appropriate destinations. Done.

Hello again everyone, sorry for not answering sooner, I was busy trying all your fixes methodically.

@AugustaCalidia, I did try your method, but in the end the problem was still the same, maybe I did it wrong but I'll never know since I switched back to NMM

The problem is finally gone, NMM did the job with its own AI system, which is what I came for so I don't think It will be necessary to keep this thread open.

If Vortex is overall very potent and effective, it is difficult to use for new modders like me. Maybe one day I'll give it another chance.

Thank you everyone for your help. Have a nice day.
