Flamey Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 In response to post #8478274. #8481421, #8481882, #8482170, #8482915, #8495941, #8497932 are all replies on the same post.Well @ all those who're wondering - I don't know if that's what the original Comment was about, but I for sure know someone who made a Mod for Skyrim that's been deleted and banned, because of someone of Nexus' Staff didn't like it on here - whoever that was.The Mod didn't do anything new, there are still lots of worse ones out there, and there really was no Reason to delete and ban this one Mod and be okay with all the others at the same Time, and Stuff like that. Stuff which, I gotta say that, was really unfair and something completely based on personal Judgement, like saying, "oh I [personally] don't like that one Mod on here, let's ban it". For Reasons that would have applied to lots of other Stuff as well, but yeah, obviously they did -just- apply for the one Mod someone didn't really like to see on here.I can pretty much assure you there wasn't any other Reason to the Deletion of said Mod and as its Author questioned the Reasons why it was deleted while there still were all the others [which STILL haven't been deleted yet BTW], and was pretty much told to lay down, "or else"...So yeah, if there were more Incidents like that, I could imagine that may be a Reason why. JimCass98 Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 The sad thing is is that some people do this because they are upset at the Nexus Admins for banning them. In reality, these people broke the ToS and have no reason to do something as idiotic and frustrating as this. Granted, mistakes happen but in all honesty I think the Nexus team isn't biased and usually ban the people that deserve to be banned. The people praising or taking part in these attacks are the people who fail to realize that their actions have consequences and instead of owning up to them, they act like children and pull a stunt like this. These people are probably people who were banned for such things as piracy, spamming, profane insults toward the Admins and mod authors, and so on. They deserved to be banned and failed to man up and correct themselves. There is no excuse for severly violating the ToS of a great site such as the Nexus, which includes a phenomenal mod manager, an amazing modding community, forums for help with mods/general Skyrim issues, and just a place to relax and talk. Thank you Nexus for giving us a great site, and I know that many of us understand what you have to deal with and are willing and going to give you as much time as you need to fix it. Cheers. If you came into my house, do I not have the right to ask you to leave. Even if I have no reason whatsoever. People may get their panties in a bunch over this stuff, but they just need to grow up. They can go to another site and put their mod there. They can create their own website. Or if they can just not mod anymore. The ball is in their court. Being butt-hurt doesn't help. I don't agree with banning the mod because you didn't like it. Some may like the mod. But, it is their site and they can do with it whatever they wish to. I see the point Flamey is trying to make with people DDoSing due to frustration. Also, they can make a website or any of those choices, but the fact is, it won't get very far since this is probably the site with the most people on involving mods. But if you want me to join in and put the tin foil hat on with ya all I can. So..say we did ban mods we didn't like? Or just, I don't know..randomly threw darts at a board...whatever get hit goes! Make a wack-a-mole game of mods? That would be fun. Come on people. If a mod goes there is a perfectly legitimate reason. People may not agree with the reason as they obviously do not agree (or usually read) the rules of this site. If you all have an issue then you need to talk to the moderator involved or Dark0ne. This thread is not about your personal theories of why a mod got taken down.  We don't have time to go searching through THOUSANDS of mods to find something we do not like. We get advised through reports or on the off chance we actually see the mod first (which is far less likely) and look at what the issue is....we then perhaps discuss it with our brethren and decide on a course of action based on what part of the Terms of Service was broken. It is really that simple. Not everyone agrees with the rules here. However if there is an issue you always have recourse to speak with Robin. This is a private site and he is the last word on all things here. If that isn't something you can live with then get your mods from another site. No one forces you to stay here if it is not something you like. However if you break the very simple rules here then you will have to suffer the consequences of your actions.
