RosyPlay Posted August 19, 2021 Share Posted August 19, 2021 (edited) I have been told by everyone a SSD would stop game freezes and long loading, so I upgraded from i5-7600k CPU and 7200RPM HDD to M.2 NVME 2400MB/s SSD and a new CPU i9-9900K, I noticed significant improvement after Upgrading to SSD but the game would still have freezes in the city areas, So I went and got a new CPU since I thought the CPU was bottlenecking but still same thing didn't notice any performance difference.Here are my computer specs:CPU: i9-9900k 5.0GHz Water cooled.RAM: 16GB DDR4.GPU: GTX 1060 6GB VRAM. You have a long list, and I don't know what a lot of them actually do. Also, I don't think it's the cause, but, beth games are notorious for not liking overclocking..... xrayy Posted August 25, 2021 Share Posted August 25, 2021 have you ever used scrapeverything with deactivated precombines at the wrong place ? if yes you should know the reason for performance loss. this mod deactivates precombines optional to function properly. this means you risk to reduce game perfomance. the more things you scrap, the higher the chance that you hurt precombines.and this means you increase draw calls which are responsible for sudden fps drops in dx11 games if they reach a critical limit of about 10000-15000. He's moving forward, so the game is freezing momentarily as new stuff comes into view. Likely the player is near a cell border and preculling is turned off, so the game lags as the new cell is loaded. I get the same thing depending on where I am. Crossing into a busy cell with lots of objects causes a momentary freeze. While occasionally annoying it's not game breaking, and not nearly as annoying as half the world flickering in and out of existence because of bad precombines.
