DragoonFurey Posted August 9, 2003 Posted August 9, 2003 as i start my trek tword ghost gate from balmora i start to wonder why oh god why did i sell my boots of blinding speed and then 75% of the way there CTD, now i sudenly feel like taking my disc and snaping it in two. i really wish they would fix that CTD crap.

boohoomoo Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 My CTD's nearly got eliminated when I turned off Real-Time Shadows, alond with noticeably improving game performance. Now, I don't have those annoying shadows poking through the walls and ceilings, and my game runs better. F5 is still my friend, though. Otherwise, I end up dying from something stupid and haven't saved for like an hour.

Rune Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I don't think there will ever be a way to get rid of CTDs. There are way to try and prevent it though, like Baphomet said, it's in the tech support thread. I bow to F5. I press it almost every time I exit a building (my computer is really really bad and unreliable).
SothThe69th Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I haven't crashed to desktop in forever. Go to morrowind.ini and set MaxFPS to 60. It helps. A LOT.
