iLLusion68
I've never had this issue before.. But here goes. I just recently bought a new pc, so Had to reinstall games, etc. Cyberpunk 2077 was my first install, Got Vortex, installed... But none of the mods that are installed via vortex are working. If I install them manually, they work fine... Any idea? Not sure what info anyone might need to help me, but ask and i'll do my best to provide the info. Until then, I'll just manually install, but kind of make the ease of using Vortex moot. (since it doesn't seem to be working)
Pickysaurus
Check the bell icon in Vortex. Normally when something isn't working it means you've missed an important notification.
iLLusion68
Nothing there, but a friend of mine suggested turning multi-user mode to shared, which fixed it. So, the issue lies somewhere with my new computer not liking the per user selection.... So for now, all is working, i just have to behave and stay away from nsfw mods or keep certain people off my computer. LOL
rmm200
Does anyone else have any input on Windows Multi-user vs Shared?Maybe a question for @Tannin42?This sounds like a valid problem I am not familiar with.
HadToRegister
I have mine set to SHARED, and because of that, all of the Vortex info gets saved to C:\ProgramData\Vortex, instead of C:\users\<MY NAME>\appdata\roaming\VortexI suspect that having Vortex set to Multi-User gets overprotected by Windows Defender or some other AV program, and switching to Shared, puts everything in ProgramData and Windows Defender or another AV doesn't protect that folder as zealously as appdata\roaming\
