I don't see this as a request for pirated content, more that most authors removed it from the Nexus so it wouldn't be archived eternally, and put it up somewhere else.

In the case of Death Alternative Captured, the Legacy version, made by BralorMarr, still exists. The SE version was simply a port of that, which means it should not have been removed, and there is no questionable legality surrounding sharing saved copies, as BralorMarr did not wish for it to vanish.

Asking for a mod that has been removed by the author and asking for someone else to provide it against the mod authors wishes is indeed pirating it if it's not available anymore.

Asking for a mod that has been removed by the author and asking for someone else to provide it against the mod authors wishes is indeed pirating it if it's not available anymore.

even then I had no intend to pirate plus I asked the mod author for the mod link and it wasnt even his wish and my evidence to back that up is in the wayback machine in the creators mod link it says he removed it "because he did not support nexus limiting mod authors" it was not his wish it was his demand and protest

I wish people would stop immediately calling this piracy. It just starts an argument for no reason.

 

Asking for someone to send you a copy of a removed mod is against Nexus rules. That's all that needs to be said. You can't do that here because of rules you agreed to when you joined the site.

 

That's it. There's no room for argument or debate, the law is not a factor, your intentions are not a factor. You just can't ask. Period.
