posting images with nudity not strictly violating guidelines

it is not the point that the responsibility resides with the image poster (as i already said) it is about that there can be done more that the poster "feels" his responsibility.

i explained what i mean with more responsibility: to change the default setting to actively change the button from adult only while e.g. opening a text doing so.

this does not mean that there will be always individuals who ignore whatever improvement or change you create. i do not agree with you in this point. i think even small improvements do matter even if not for you and lazyness should never be underestimated. i don't think that staff approves every single image. if so the "report" feature would be mainly obsolete.

If you set adult content as default many non adult images will end up flagged as adult, that means people will have to enable adult content to see non adult content defeating the point of the filter. The report button is there for a reason, use it, it takes seconds for staff to flag an image as adult.

You're basically blaming the user for poor moderation from the Nexus, they need more moderators because this is a consistent problem.

Also the moderators are very loose with sexual content, I've had some images removed and some not, This stayed even though it is skin-tight, accentuating and doesn't completely cover the red areas in the Visual Guide.

I'm not blaming anyone for anything, I pointed why his idea will lead to people having to enable adult content to see non adult content. When it comes to images it's often a judgement call as to whether an image is suitable or not, a moderator may have a different opinion to you, that differing opinion does not make the moderation "poor".

If children are viewing the images as xxray states (post #20 on page 2) it is a problem with the parents of said children and not the responsibility of the Nexus staff. There is a minimum age for membership and there is also age ratings for all the games. This places the responsibility for what a child accesses onto the parents not the content provider.

so we do not need to protect as adult image posters the children as good as possible because parents are responsible ? i understand...

and that is exactly the reason i raised this topic.

It does make them poor when they don't follow their own guidelines.

How many images get posted every day? How many of those are mis-labeled?

If you see an image that should be considered 'adult', report it, state why, then don't worry about it any more. The whole 'think of the children' thing gets old in a hurry. In all reality, children should not even be viewing mods for games that are rated beyond their age bracket. There is nothing Nexus can do about that. You already need to be 13 even to join this site. If you don't think 13 year olds can find porn on the internet, if they really want it, you are deluding yourself.

Just out of idle curiosity, are you by any chance related to Don Quixote?

Where haven't they followed their own guidelines? the image you linked is fine and conforms to the visual guide, if it just comes down to people posting things you don't like then block the authors of the images, you won't see their stuff again.

does anyone need a "don quixote attitude" if things are so obvious on nexusmods ? i hope not! if you think so you do not get the problem.

if children surf pornsites and parents and sites do not hinder them - they do. it is so simple, yes. if nexusmods like to act like a pornsite it should do. why any restrictions then at all?

but i don't think nexusmods has any ambitions to be compared with a pornsite.

and as far as i know any porn site has a clear 18+ restriction (or at least should have). we all know that some 13 year old children may creatively circumvent some restrictions. but it should not work without violating restrictions or due to headless adults not tagging their clearly for adults adressed images.

so any little effort or idea to make nexusmods better should be allowed to discuss with an at least constructive adult attitude.

i don't know ff14 (?) and i'm clearly not against skimpy outfits but this should be separated and it should not be offered to children without restrictions. the pm had a reason and included a general question not only related to the report functionality and a specific image. i don't want to discuss this here. telling me here in this topic what is good or not good about a pm does not solve the general problem of correct tagging adult related content. why tagging adult mods if the images using these mods are free to view and doing advertisement to children in the image area with adult content scratching the limits ? this makes no sense and is not the fault of the mod author.

FF14 = Final Fantasy 14 Online. Open the game's mod page and enjoy the collection of "D pics" shoved on your face, whether you like it or not.

I am still not seeing how anything you have suggested so far makes anything 'better'.

Most 'adult' sites simply ask your birthday, or 'are you over 18', and that's it. Hardly an obstacle to anyone that can use a mouse.
