sm0508
I read somewhere that it was important to have the latest version of FO4 due to some changes to... file extensions (?)My version says 1.10.163.0 and Steam doesn't show that the game requires an update, but using Google it says the latest version is from 8th Feb and is 1.10.75.0. I have downloaded multiple quest mods like Project Valkyrie (with Outcasts and Remnants), 50 ways to die at Dr. Nicks, Fourville, and more, but NONE of them work. In the FAQ on Fourville it states that if Fourville doesn't show up, FO4 should be updated to the latest version, but alas, I can't seem to update it. Does anyone have any idea as to what I can do? All my other mods work. Thanks.
showler
1.10.75.0 is from 2018. Bethesda.net has a page listing it as from Feb. 8, 2022, but their support pages are crap. How are you installing the mods?

How are you installing the mods?I'm downloading manually and adding via Mod Organizer V2.Turns out Fourville works now, but specifically all the Thuggyverse mods, while loaded, are unplayable (no voices, missing objects etc). And Nicks which should start automatically, doesn't.
pepperman35
You should be able to update FO4 via Steam. Right click on FO$ and select properties and should get an option to update, verify files, etc.

StormWolf01
Heyas sm..163 is the most current version. It was released mid-late November of 2019. That version of the game will not play any mods that were created using the CK that shipped with the +.138 version of the game. Due to changes made in the Fallout4.exe that reads .esp and .esl files different than previous builds. In order to over-ride that, you need the version patch checker. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42497 However, some of those mods were definitely released, After the latest update to the game. So those SHOULD be compatible. Unless those mods have other mod compatibility. Also, I DO see that you are using the DL then install method that Thuggy suggests, in his mod description. Are you sure that you've followed ALL the steps that he has listed? Including setting his mods lower in the order, and making sure that they are activated? I will try the patcher, but I don't think that is the issue in itself. I did follow Thuggy's advice, yes. It gives me no errors on installation, but for example, when I talk to the little girl to start Depravity, there is no voice acting, the quest doesn't trigger, and on entering Fallon's, key things like the terminal is missing, resulting in me not being able to continue. This is independent of whether I use a new or old save file. I sorted my mods using LOOT, as Thuggy recommends, and also tried generally just placing them lower in the mod list. I haven't really encountered anyone having the same issues. I think I'll try out Project Valkyrie (whilst of course having Outcasts and Remnants installed), later tonight. StormWolf01
SM, sure thing, not a problem. Always glad to try to help out, when I can. ;)Sadly, I dunno too much about quest mods, I usually dont use them (personal choice) because of the way that the game engine handles scripting. Ok, so it sounds like there is definitely some things going wonky. An educated guess might be that its not loading the mods correctly. How are you starting the game? Thru a mod manager, thru f4se, or thru the vanilla launcher, or steam? (Yeah, I know the last two are probly a NO, but just covering all the bases ;) )
