"Anniversary Edition" is just the 1.6.353 update of Skyrim Special Edition. And everyone gets it unless they jump through hoops to prevent the update. The "Anniversary Edition Upgrade" is just a batch of CC content as a package. It's really bad naming.

You'll have to use AE versions of everything now, or look into the "Unofficial Downgrade Patcher" to go back to the previous version of the game.

Always get skse from skse.silverlock.org.

On that site, you will find the appropriate version for the version of Skyrim you are running.

Just download the correct zip file and drag it to Vortex.

If you have trouble finding what version Skyrim you are running - come back.

Vortex will never explicitly say "Anniversary Edition" because that's not a game version - if we ever show a message like this in Vortex it would use the correct terms (1.5 or 1.6). That's either one of your mods showing that message or perhaps a Collection?
