drakelito
Hello! No matter what I do I can't get CBBE (or any other simial mod) to work, I've done exactly what it says in the instructions with .ini file and Vortex installation and all. I get other mods to work, like Atom Bomb Pinups, Photographic Pinup, but the nude female mod just doesn't work. Could anyone help me fix this perhaps? Cheers
showler
You should first look at the "conflict rules" for your body mods and see if CBBE is being overwritten by something else.

Nothing is interfering with CBBE, is there anything else I should know that might hinder it? It feels like just a small thing that stands in the way, cause several other mods work but not those. StormWolf01
Just installing CBBE will not apply a noticeable body into the game. Only the textures. You will need to first build a body, or choose a preset that you want to use in the bodyslide program. Which is separate.https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25Once you've done that, you will need to then apply that preset to pretty much all clothes/armor that you have, that supports bodyslide. (Items that don't support bodyslide will use the vanilla). Once you've downloaded BS/OFS (the link above) do a search on youtube for instructions on how to use it. The instructions on the mod page are... ummmm... ummmm.....well, instructional videos would help you out a lot more  Edit: I will also admit that I have had a lot more luck installing the files related to CBBE manually, than I have had with a mod manager. showler
They don't use "virtual drives". They use symlinks. The files are all there on the same drive same as with NMM.
G4M3W1NN3R
They don't use "virtual drives". They use symlinks. The files are all there on the same drive same as with NMM.i thought the whole point of vortex was to be built on the same foundation as m02, thus virtual file system /drives, hence i was under the impression it also uses Virtual Drives/ file system if thats the case why is it much more common to see CBBE issues with Vortex and or M02 vs NMM or manual Installation, baring in mind how long these have been available. i have seen far more reported issues with CBBE with Vortex/M02, vs the entire time of NMM but ye il take your word for it that Vortex does not actually use Virtual Drives, and will likewise edit my original reply. showler
The problem is usually that people try to follow the instructions for a manual/NMM install while using Vortex or MO2. If you don't actually follow directions, you won't get results. Unfortunately, most people who report issues do so by saying "I did everything right, why doesn't it work?" instead of saying "this is a detailed list of what I did, with my load order list and some images of important folders/settings/error messages, what did I do wrong?" Presuming you did everything right and that it "just doesn't work for mysterious reasons" instead of trying to figure out what you did wrong is not a very effective troubleshooting technique. While this is not directed at the OP, simply just a gripe. When the people are asking for help, not even providing links to the instructions that they followed, really doesn't do much to help the people trying to help them out. Anyways, back to you Drake. Do you have any other mods that might conflict with CBBE? Did you make sure to put all the files directly into the folders that they need to go into in your Fallout4/Data folder? And you've made sure to add the changes to your ini files? Make double sure about that.
