It really makes me question the intelligence/sanity of the american people...... Congress hasn't had an approval rating much above 30% for decades, yet we still keep putting the same folks back in... Our elections have become the choice of the lesser of two evils, I haven't see a candidate that I wanted to vote FOR, in quite some time, I have seen a lot that I want to vote AGAINST.....

 

 

Individually, we have some pretty bright folks here in the US. Taken collectively though, we got nothin' on a box o' rocks.

 

 

It's not just the US, here in the UK we have a political class made up almost exclusively of brainless cretins, when an election comes around it's a choice between terrible or even worse.

The Australian government has asked for my input once in my entire lifetime to change marriage law, what we have is some warped form of Democracy where we are forced to vote for a bunch of pre-selected mugs, once elected, by force (Aus fines you for not voting) the mugs proceed to go ahead and make decisions only amongst themselves, with no further input from anyone except big business.

 

From my perspective, the UK and Australia are near par on rot, but I'm sorry my sane friends in the U.S., the majority of the people running your show are on a whole new level, our show is in dire need of repair but the U.S. needs a complete rebuild.

You are not wrong. I really wish you were but you are not, things here in the US are at an all time low.

 

Thing is, it is not likely to change, not anytime soon anyway certainly not in either of our lifetimes. In fact I would wager not in anyone alive todays life times either.

 

Why?

 

We know how good we have it here, and better the devil you know than the one you don't.

 

Why is that pertinent you ask? Are you bragging again? Here we go yet another US great all other places evil rant. This is none of that just a few facts about living in the USA. (Out respect to Canadians and all the other countries here I have stopped call my home country America.)

 

I hear you I do, we have it pretty good here and we know it that is why we are reluctant to "tear it down and rebuild".

 

Freedom of speech: There are in fact places in the world where you can be arrested or worse if you say the wrong thing at the wrong time where the wrong person can here you.

 

Freedom of religion: Here you can pray how you wish or don't wish here religion is not allowed to make or enforce the laws. (or it is not supposed too) Here religion is supposed to be separate; is it always? No unfortunately, do we manage to keep the worst of it away? most of the time. But we are human and make mistakes. To the pro choice person getting ready to rant about this one I just made your argument for you next time someone comes at with holy book remind them of freedom of religion and separation of church and state. It is why despite being a life long Christian I am: pro choice, pro death penalty, pro gun, and pro equal rights. There is no Constitutional reason to deny anyone equal right in this country, and our laws and practices should reflect this. What most Christians are wanting is a moral debate in the political arena. Moral debates are fine, they have no place in politics, catering to your morals is one of the easiest lies a politician can tell.

Proof you ask? ok The Democratic party up until recently was historically southern. (Jefferson Davis was a Democratic, if you don't know who he is look him up.) Now it is the "party of the people" of the down trodden of the poor, it is most prevalent in majorly populated cities like New York and Los Angeles. Predominantly liberal leaning places. Yet it has its roots in the most conservative part of the country? Where did the Republicans come from (Abraham Lincoln was one.) The north and far more progressive and forward thinking places. Why is this important? These two parties have re invented themselves so many times just to remain in power that if you truly look deeply at those "running" the party. There is no difference between the two.

 

The right to bare arms: Why is this one so big? Well it is the reason (not any military might) that most countries with any sense are afraid to invade the U.S. You see the military has rules of engagement it has to follow. I don't, imagine how demoralizing it would be to be on patrol looking for your lost scouts just to find them hanging from a tree, skinned, oh and still breathing, can't forget that part. Ya, the other countries are not afraid or our army they are scared of crazy assholes like me. Also we have the guns try and take them and we may change our mind about the status quo. That is why the boys in charge are in no actual hurry to change the 2nd amendment or anything else really. They know how good they have it, too.

 

So yeah it is not about how much money we have, or how smart or educated we are, there are places richer, and smarter, and safer to live. There are most certainly places that are saner.

 

Except Australia grass can kill you there GRASS!!! why are you crazy people still living there. And don't get me started about the spiders and snakes. (full body shiver) Lunatics all of you.

 

Yet another place that never has to worry about being invaded.

 

So yeah better the devil we know, of course we loathe the people running our government, but the form of government can't beat it. Is it prone to corruption? Yes.

 

Are we worried about what type of government would take it's place if we do tear it down and rebuild. Yes most defiantly.

 

Change comes slowly or violently, change takes time, evolution did not happen over night. Hell we can't even get mainstream media to recognize 10th grade biology. The human race is only separated by one category. Testicle or Ovaries.(No I am not weighing in on the gender debate, this is me using scientific fact to kill racism. The gender debate is about mentality, not biology different science, the gender debate about, feelings, brain chemicals, and hormones.) Skin color does not equal another race, so at best hating someone for a different skin tone makes you a breedist? colorist? Meh, hate is stupid anyway.

 

Which brings me to my final point as a Christian I choose to remember Jesus told me to "Love one another." Full stop; not love one another, unless.

 

I know, I know after writing what I wrote on guns I write that. I am a contradiction, I never claimed to be sane. That said treat me with respect and common curtesy and I will return unto you same said. Wrong me or mine, and I will visit it back upon you a thousand fold until time is ended.

The only thing I've been asked my opinion on was Brexit, after that our political class spent the next three years trying to ignore or undo the result of the vote, it was only when the ruling party faced being wiped out that they suddenly decided to carry out the will of the people, these shysters serve no one but themselves.
