FalloutPlayerForever Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 I've been using Vortex for a while and it's been working fine. But today I downloaded a mod and installed it in Fallout 4 via Vortex as I've done with the other mods but there's a problem. It's there and enabled in Vortex. But in the game menu in Fallout 4 it doesn't show up with all the other previously installed mods. Vortext does not indicate any problems. I don't know if the problem is in Vortext or in Fallout 4. Any way to fix this so the mod shows up in the game and is usable? JL
showler Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 If you mean the in-game mod manager menu DO NOT USE THAT ALONG WITH VORTEX. They handle registering mods with the game in different ways and can conflict. The question you should be asking is: Is the mod working after you installed it? If not, you need to fix that. But it not appearing in the in-game mod menu is not, in itself, a problem.
StormWolf01 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Telling us what the mod is, would also help. Greatly. It may be that you have to unlock something or find/locate something, etc, in game in order for it to work.
FalloutPlayerForever Posted December 3, 2022 Author Posted December 3, 2022 showler, I was unaware of the difference in mod handling. I had assumed that since all mods previously installed via Vortex showed in the FO4 Mod list, that they all would be there. Thanks for the instruction. So I loaded the game and went to where the mod should show its effect and sure enough there it was. So now I know just to ignore the FO4 built-in Mod list when using Vortex. All is well. Thanks. JL
