showler
Is your Windows account actually called "username" or did you substitute that in on purpose? Also, SKSE doesn't create "plugins.txt". That's made either by the game itself or by MO2.
Arthmoor
It's a known issue with xEdit: https://github.com/TES5Edit/TES5Edit/issues/1058 The plugins.txt file exists, it just doesn't know where to find it because the program is written to assume it's always held by Steam. showler
Yeah, but that's what all the command line arguments are supposed to fix: https://github.com/TES5Edit/TES5Edit/issues/1043
Arthmoor
I am aware, but that treats non-Steam copies as second class citizens and I don't particularly like that. Plus other tools seem to have been able to take care of this (and even for EGS support too) without much trouble.
showler
Okay, but not liking what Elminster has done doesn't really help with the OPs problem. As far as I know, the switches should work unless they are not added correctly.

I have tried the recommended switches in as many forms as I could but nothing seemed to work for me. The path always showed Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim.ini instead of Skyrim Special Edition GOG\Skyrim\.ini.
