piggyjon24
After downgrading to an older version, it's there so why was it removed?
showler
It was removed because it was inefficient and sometimes outright useless. It didn't function at all for Extension supported games, for instance. Now, you simply type the name of the game you want into the search bar, select the game and then it will either search your computer for that game or direct you to the Extension if needed. Guest deleted34304850
imagine downgrading to an older version when told explicitly not to do that. imagine that.
mosterholt
Imagine reloading all 90 of your games after a hard drive failure and now having to manually re-add them when a scan tool was perfect. What a stupid idea to go backward. Very inefficient.
showler
Seriously, who the F tries to mod 90 games simultaneously?
Solution Pickysaurus Posted January 20 Solution Share Posted January 20 You just have to click on them in the games list. The UI has changed slightly, but Vortex runs the detection for the game when you click on it. Due to a growing number of game extensions being external to the main app, the "scan" feature no longer detected all your games as the logic to find certain games required you to install the extension first. The new method is consistent regardless of having the correct extension.
alexrdavies
I'm a new user of Vortex. I had great fun playing Dragon Quest with Project Rebuild, and I'd like to see what other games I have installed that Vortex supports. Is there any way I can see this without personally checking each of my installed games one by one? Scan sounded perfect, but it sounds like it isn't available anymore. Is there an alternative?
